digging the following tracks:
- pink moon
- place to be
- things behind the sun
- harvest breed
not a huge fan of some of the other tracks - the album cover is cool though...
turns out it's one of these cult albums, dude died super young, had depression, etc.
i remember when this came out it was all over the place.
felt kinda different for the time stylewise especially with how much attention it was getting.
also crazy to see how many singles come out of this (rehab, you know i'm no good, back to black, tears dry on their own, etc.)
almost got totally put off by the first track
liking:
sunshine of your love,
world of pain,
tales of brave ulysses,
outside woman blues,
take it back
giving it a few more listens and it grows on you
some of the instrumental tracks are decent, but couldn't really get too into it
not sure about that first track (could get better after some listens) but there's some solid stuff:
valentine's day
the stars are out tonight
boss of me
how does the grass grow
you will set the world on fire
atomica
like a rocket man
born in a ufo
god bless the girl

how much a dollar cost
i
mortal man
probably pretty cool for the times (90's)
reminds me of some FLA and RATM tracks
only got into a few tracks, the rest aren't really doing it even if the lyrics are meaningful:
satanic reverses
famous and dandy
everyday life has become a health risk
financial leprosy
cool tracks:
chain gang
cupid
twistin' the night away
somebody have mercy
bring it on home to me
having a party
live isn't cool
tracks:
cracked actor
time
the prettiest star
lady grinning soul
there's better but after a few listens it gets better too
that album cover
right here, right now
rockafeller skank
fucking in heaven
gangster tripping
you're not from brighton
tracks:
down to the waterline
sultans of swing
lions
this album is a bit of a stinker, surprising anyone let them go on to make 5 more.
wow, what a stinker - absolutely ghastly ululating
megaboring music that should've remained in the 60's.
