evermore
Taylor SwiftNO, just fucking NO. Like how in the world is this on any "must hear" list. Empty pop vacuums for 12 year olds..really?

It's Radiohead. You will either dig it or you won't. Radiohead occupies a certain musical "in-between space" that rarely has counterparts, but they will always remain a special kinda musical experience in any given era.
There is no better guitarist
Melodic and haunting, this is low key a solid LP. All the hallmarks of an indy album, which for me is what makes this great, its doesnt feel over produced, but its an actual indy sounding LP.
This was a nice find
This is a indy style listen with very thoughtful music, soulful at times
Slower than I like, a bit of the same o every track. More background noise than anything
Dull, repetitive and lacks anything interesting
Same old Morrissey, dull and whinny. The Smiths were amazing, but now, he just sounds like the same thing over and over and over.
Lust for Life, The Passenger, iconic songs, as you go through the entire LP, its Perfect Iggy Pop. It's rhythmic, hypnotic and fun. This is one of those LPS that stands the test of time, its still pretty great today and outshines A LOT of BS music being made today.
One of the all time great rock n roll bands. When you listen to these guys in the context for the era, they were pretty bad ass standouts. This is a good example as to why. One of the all time great bands.
Such a standout LP of the time and a strong finish for 1999, Californication, the song, remains a great and likely an all time classic. TRHCP have always been good, but live they are something to behold. This band is one of those rare must see live type. These guys know how to deliver.
The songs all felt very much the same. I get that in its time this was considered a top notch LP, but the music itself doesnt hold up after generations. Its just ok.
Melodic and haunting, this is low key a solid LP. All the hallmarks of an indy album, which for me is what makes this great, its doesnt feel over produced, but its an actual indy sounding LP.
Feels very samey as everything else he's done. Maybe its the age of his sound being so 2000s, but this feels pretty meh
Nice, this was a easy to enjoy throwback, on par with some classic Beatles sounds of the era. The Kinks are a fantastic listen and this LP is top notch!
One of the gold standards from the era, this LP is a must hear, just ignore the whole Starship nonsense that came later.
If "meh" was an LP, this would be it
Well this is just a pure classic in every-way. You can see where so many found influence and inspiration.
Not a fan of Dk
A Classic, nothing new to report, was great then, is great now
Sorta forgettable, feels very much like all the other music from the era
Was ok, not great or bad
LOVE Elvis.
It's B.B. King. Nothing else to say.
It's Nina Simone. She is everything great about music.
Gotta get my Gangsta boogie on.
Great band, just not my jam
A Classic if there ever was one
Well, its a holiday LP
Otis!
This was one the first metal LPs I ever heard. Solid as anything you will ever hear in the genre
Ok so this is a very 90s thing and it wasnt bad but for some reason it just feels so so.
Yeah, this is a prefect LP. Hands down, defines a generation in music
This was a great listen and new to me!
RIP Shane MacGowan
Pulp is a still low key gem, they never became huge but they sure are great
There is no better guitarist
Well this is very Brian Eno, he has his own deal going
It was very meh
Meh
ooof, this wasnt for me
I can hear this title just by seeing it
Well this was a nice find, I liked it!
Meh
I mean, is what it is
Got it bad- got it bad -got it bad
Whip it good. I mean its Devo. Of course its great.
Nice, his later stuff is way cooler
Yes! One of the all time great bands and this LP is fantastic
I still havent found a way to remove U2 from my iphone. This is a solid LP, lots of great tracks.
Well its not for me but they do have some good songs.
Amazing LP, The Pretenders have always been awesome, this was a fantastic intro
Well It's Black Sabbath, I mean what else do you wanna know other than IT'S BLACK SABBATH.
This was a cool new find. never heard them before but I dug this LP
Well this was very different from the 80s music they out out and was fun to listen to.
Dirty Work is a classic, and this lp aint that bad either.
Likely THE greatest LP of all time. Most certainly the most complex of its time.
It's Beck, of course its awesome.
Yeah, this was cool then and its cool now. Kate Bush is an original.
Not my thing
Whats not to like, I mean it's Jeff Buckley
One of the BEST 80s LPs!
Sweet! This is always gunna be awesome
Well, Its Bob Dylan.
Not for me
Its Sade
Such a fantastic LP. He is fantastic live!
Still great.
Not for me, nope I get the whole It was super punk at the time, but the music is very meh
Wasnt for me and I like the dudes music most of the time
The 90s.
Classic. After watching Get Back, I am certain he held back a lot of his songs from the them. Harrison was always oozing with talent.
Well...this is Rage against the machine, kinda amazing that after all these years lots of dummies have no idea that they are the machine that gets raged against. Also, TM is smarter than most people.
Perfect. And it's true, Love will tear us apart. Ian Curtis was not the greatest singer but he was his own deal. I always wonder what if..
Great LP, but their Unplugged set remains the best.
Its The Who, of course its good.
This was a wild find. never heard it before and i dug it. Very 70s.
I mean, its THE Kinks.
Nope. This is what a garbage truck on fire filled with drunk rats sounds like.
This was exactly what you think a Nick Cave LP will be. I have always liked his work.
Def a leader of the whole "Dad Rock" genre. A few bangers, but doesn't seem to get beyond nostalgia.
A classic. XTC is their own thing and worth the listen.
Its Tom Waits, of course its good.
The Who always delivers. They are pretty great live.
This was kinda cool and different. I liked it. Very Kate Bush/Brian Eno type of thing.
Well this is a classic for classic.
CCR is one of those bands that is part of the "All time greatest" this or that. Iconic.
Name a more iconic LP
Part of the 80's soundtrack they are always going to be a great band
I really dig this LP, solid music choice.
This was a nice find
Well that was interesting but not really something I'd put on a must hear list.
Oh the disco that discos, this is that
Well, it wasnt for me and why its a 1001 must hear is a mystery
Nice find, really enjoyed it. Not what I expected.
Its alright, not good not bad, just meh
Meh
Well, a few good songs for sure
It's Prince. That it all.
ok it was..you know
? Not sure why this is even here
Bah
oof, Same ol'
Nice! A really fantastic LP
NO, just fucking NO. Like how in the world is this on any "must hear" list. Empty pop vacuums for 12 year olds..really?
Love The Killers, such a great band.
Nice
A Classic
I have always liked him but this LP feels like he isnt where he was gunna be yet.
Meh
ok
One of the greatest LPs of all time. Tomorrow Never Knows is likely one of the top 100 all time greatest songs
Very meh
Fantastic LP, one of the best!
Totally old school punk. It is a classic LP
This artist was clearly influenced by some of the great 1960s bands, I mean you can hear the Simon & Garfunkel. the Birds, etc as inspirations. Its was ok, not shabby for an indie, but doesnt hold up to its contemporaries as anything special.
The was the start of something amazing.
One of the all time greatest LPs ever. Bar none, this is top 3 of any generation.
Pretty Meh. Nothing new and didnt feel innovative or interesting.
Not really my thing
Very Meh
Banger
They are legendary, not really my back, but they are sick with talent
Meh
Classic, well worth the listen
This is by far one of the top 20 LPs of all time. As far as Unplugged sessions go, this is the gold standard. While not a huge fan or Nirvana, this is nothing short of perfect. Real Raw. Powerful and a testament of this bands music.
Fun, perfect, just a fantastic LP all around
meh
So this was pretty great back then and stands up after all this time. Wanted Dead or Alive will always be a massive song and this will remain a all time great LP
Meh
19-2000 is a fav of mine, these are some clever monkeys
Just never been a fan. It's all very Meh.
Meeeeeh
There is just something I will always love about this LP. Is what it is.
Its Bowie. End of the story.
In context of the time and place of this LP, these guys were on the way to being a part of the same scene as many others who went on to great success like Ratt, Motley Crue, Cinderella etc. In the 80s this was a new thing, so judging it from todays eyes/ears isnt really fair. They coulda been greater!
So much 80s!
S'ok
Way before Stranger Things -this was a solid LP. She has always been creative and fresh.
Yeah, Nick Drake is legend. Wild that my previous LP was Kate Bush, whom Nick Drake was an inspiration for. 100% belongs on this list, but I would recommend Pink Moon more. He has was an amazing lyrical genius and that can never be oversold. This guy is well worth the deep dive. There is a pretty great compilation tribute LP with lots of other artist covering him. Joe Henry's cover of Time of No Reply is solid AF. Then fall down the Joe Henry rabbit hole.11/10 Treat yourself to this music. Nick Drake is legit.
I really dig Spaceman 3, also a fan of Spiritualized as a result. This is a really great listen
It's Radiohead. You will either dig it or you won't. Radiohead occupies a certain musical "in-between space" that rarely has counterparts, but they will always remain a special kinda musical experience in any given era.
Just not my thing overall. People love them, but I am just kinda meh. Dirty Work is a banger tho
Wet Toast, nothing more.
very meh, don't get it. She's just, store brand Alanis but less interesting. def 999 better artists that should be on this list.
She's knows what she did.
It's The Boss. End of story.
Melodic and subtle, this isn't genre breaking but it does carry a nice sense of mellow and relaxing.
This is what boiled chicken sounds like. This is Taylor Swift bland, and I wasn't sure that was even possible. How does this end up on any list other than the "Things I heard Karen play at Target" list? Its "cringe try hard" and i didnt know that was a genre until now
If Diet Water was an LP. Belongs on the 1001 things I never want to hear again.
Just never understood why she was as popular as she was. It's very meh.
Yes! Sparks is a really fantastic and influential band. Well worth a deep dive into their body of work. For a good start, watch the Apple TV Doc. This is a band with both talent and quirks that actually work well together. A fav.
I mean this is the definition of a classic LP. Sympathy for the Devil is, well a top 10 on any list that has all of the best ..you know, classics.
The Smiths were cool, this idiot is not. Meh music by a meh artist.
LAME
Old School, this was pretty fantastic and very much late 70's early 80s style
Legend. Nick Drake belongs in the pantheon of the greatest songwriters ever. His whole catalogue is well worth a listen.
Dont get it, never thought she was more than meh
Wrong list, this was meant for 1001 Albums I Never Wanna Hear Again.
I mean, duhhh. Its The Beatles
Its true, Food processors are great. I feel like they were a 90s Beatles lite but not in that Oasis way, more in that Tomorrow Never Knows way... Def doesnt suck.
Rip Brian
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...How you feelin? Classic Lp, Amazing band.
This is what putting a CAT in a dryer sounds like. HOW TF is this on any MUST HEAR list????
This was a wild LP to have and a sold genre piece!
Legendary LP. Changes and Life on Mars are likely top 100 of a generation. Bowie remains an icon.
So I put this on and it turned my wife into a wild sex beast. This guy croons. Nice!
A fav since i was a 12 year old discovering music. Bauhaus is one of the defining goth band of the 80's. 100% bangers every LP they did. Love and Rockets ( one of my all time fav bands) and Tones on Tail and Peter Murphy's solo still hit right today. Music has history, Bauhaus is a vital part of it. Goth music isnt M. Manson, it starts here with this band and their contemporaries.
Its Metallica, live- that's it. It has Master of Puppets live if you need a push. I mean, can I say It's Metallica one more time.
This seems like a solid LP but its just not my thing, still whoever said it was "Bo Burnham meets Dark Side of the Moon" was spot on.
