Moon Safari
AirPretty all over the place. Might need to give another listen. UPDATE - gave this a re-listen, easy 4. Great production, great bass.

Haven't listened to much, if any Nick Drake, but sounds like a heavy influence for 90s/00s indie folk.
What a voice on this guy. Although Aretha does Respect better.
So much nostalgia in this album. Nostalgia from when I listened to it as a teenager, but also a strange nostalgia for a slice of British life I've never lived. Love this album.
Sympathy for the Devil is a killer tune and the rest of the album is The Stones where I like them - playing blues. Nothing revolutionary, but good listening.
Bob Dylan has never done much for me. Maybe I'm missing something, but his lyrics don't speak to me and one certainly doesn't listen to him for his vocals. He's fine, but I prefer him in a one or two song dose rather than sitting through a whole album.
First time really listening to Stevie Wonder outside of his big hits. I enjoy his voice and there were a few good songs on this album, but also a couple of stinkers (ie. Heaven is 10 Zillion Miles Away).
Peak dad rock. Came back to give this a five because the more I listen, the better it gets.
I like this. Feels ahead of it's time for 1982. Would listen again
These guys sound like a mediocre high school band where no member is able to sing.
No way, the lime in the coconut guy! Pretty good - sounds kind of like solo Paul McCartney stuff.
The song about everybody getting stoned was pretty good, but 1h 15m is way too much Bob Dylan for one sitting.
Not a fan of live albums, but the prison banter and music are great.
Bob Marley without the big hits. Definitely holds it's own
This is like proto-Daft Punk. Not the best things I've ever heard, but can see how this would be pretty revolutionary for 1978.
I enjoy this. Sound similar to the Canadian indie I listened to in the early 2010s.
I'm not a John guy. I find him pretentious and arrogant. But I just can't deny that this is good music.
This sounds like something they'd use to interrogate terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.
Is this like a sub-genre called horny rap or something? The whole thing is very cringe. My biggest question is how did Tupac end up on one of these tracks?
I was expecting this to be much worse that it is. Can't deny Christina Aguilera has a powerful voice, but I don't think think this album was warranted being almost an hour and a half long.
I love Queen Latifah and wish I could rate this higher, but the whole album is very repetitive. Ladies First is a classic of course.
Just okay. Can see why I haven't listened to much Fleetwood Mac outside of Rumours.
What a chaotic listen. I enjoyed it for the variety, but wouldn't necessarily put it into regular rotation.
First album on this list with no preconceptions. Decent jazz for playing in the background.
Very enjoyable. Great voice, great music, nearly a 5.
Totally listenable
I don't frequently listen to Christmas music, but when I do I prefer it to not be produced by a murderer.
This is some great classic country.
Turns out these guys are more than just Take Me Out. Would easily give this another listen.
Ah yes the album every drunk British person sings as the bar is closing down.
Just some mediocre punk.
Pretty average early 2000s indie/singer songwriter music.
I'm learning I really don't like 80s pop. Slightly less grating than Cyndi Lauper so it gets a 2.
Kendrick does an amazing job of creating a coherent concept while having each song be excellent as a standalone. Amazing album.
Funky latin jazz with great horns and drums. Perfect dinner cooking music.
Just all around not that good. Child In Time is a decent song, but the rest is borderline unlistenable.
This is like a garage band that should have never left the garage.
Definitely prefer Bowie's early work.
Pretty all over the place. Might need to give another listen. UPDATE - gave this a re-listen, easy 4. Great production, great bass.
I forgot this was an album of the day for a minute because it's so similar to what Spotify usually recommends me.
Rush has got these lyrics about how trees are talking to each other, how different sides of your brain work and outer space bullshit.
I appreciate the experimental side of this, but it's just not very listenable.
I appreciate Peter Gabriel, but this is just too much synth and 80s drum beats for my liking.
Amazing lyricist and amazing delivery. There's a reason 2Pac is consistently in the GOAT conversation.
Enjoyable listening. I like Knopfler's tone and style although it does sometimes feel like he uses the same 3-4 licks over and over again.
We're jammin'
Two Peter Gabriel albums in 5 days has given me more time to think about Peter Gabriel than I ever thought I would have. I will redact my statement from 5 days ago about appreciating Peter Gabriel. I appreciate two of his songs, the rest is more 80s nonsense.
This is fine, but nothing extraordinary. Bjork feels a bit weird for the sake of weird.
This sounds like some ethereal lounge music. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.
This is the first time I've ever really given Coldplay the time of day. It's actually better than expected. Pretty basic and a little repetitive, but still enjoyable.
Am I listening to a PS1 James Bond soundtrack?
Some of these songs are okay, but a lot of them just feel like random noise.
Ethereal and haunting in a similar way to Explosions in the Sky. The Icelandic almost makes it feel more instrumental.
Just fun pop music, totally enjoyable.
It's a shame 90s hip hop was so obsessed with skits. This album defines the genre of g-funk and is filled with masterly produced bangers, but then you have to listen to three minutes of a cringey talkshow parody. Still a great album, but that keeps it from a 5.
I can appreciate the production, but too much dubstep style wub wub, buzz buzz for my liking.
Haven't listened to much, if any Nick Drake, but sounds like a heavy influence for 90s/00s indie folk.
Turns out I quite enjoy prog rock.
Psychedelic rock is fine, but there's a reason it was only made for like two years
Very soulful.
I never sleep cause sleep is the cousin of death.
Love me some acoustic Zep. Since I've Been Loving you and Bron Y'aur Stomp are two of my all time faves.
Hella jazzy.
I like some of these songs, especially the ones with a gospel feel, but too much filler.
I can deal with a couple REM songs, but I find the singers voice grating after a while.
Folky, medieval, sea shanty vibes
Funny to think the Beatles essentially started as a boy band.
This is some basic bro, construction site, NHL video game soundtrack music.
I don't feel like I NEEDED to listen to this.
Yee haw. This is going on regular rotation.
Yeah more REM. Totally average rock with the occasional decent song.
Another album I forgot was an album of the day because of the similarities to my regular scheduled listening.
Not particularly a fan of this style of 60s rock.
Love Fela.
Almost a Dolly Parton/Joni Mitchell blend, but without the allure of either.
This is bang average.
Recently watch Bowie's performance on the Midnight Special and I feel like it really gave context to how revolutionary early Bowie was.
Commandeering this review to ask how is Ram not on this list? In my opinion his best solo work, and even if you don't agree at least his most influential.
Not doing it for me. Like a mediocre movie soundtrack.
Decent R&B, but not fully my jam.
What a voice on this guy. Although Aretha does Respect better.
Pretty run of the mill 60s rock.
As someone who doesn't like pop music too much, I do enjoy Lorde.
I like a good portion of Talking Heads songs and I like their whole vibe, but I don't think I like their music quite enough for a 5.
More average British rock.
So much nostalgia in this album. Nostalgia from when I listened to it as a teenager, but also a strange nostalgia for a slice of British life I've never lived. Love this album.
This gets upgraded from a 2 to a 3 solely for Breaking the Law. I love how rebelliously non-specific the sentiment is. Which laws are we breaking? Who knows, we're just breaking em.
Fascinating listen. The production is amazing, some of these beats are top notch. Lyricism isn't quite there, the distorted vocals get old pretty quick and the punk stuff isn't great, but overall a good album.
Outstandingly average.
If you take the vocalist out of the equation this is actually decent music, but my god is the singing difficult to listen to.
AC/DC is a guilty pleasure of mine. There isn't much depth, all the songs sound pretty similar, but when you just wanna rock out they're great.
Is this knock off Bowie?
I like this stripped down version of McCartney. I will reiterate it is a shame Ram isn't on this list, but I do enjoy this album.
This has the vibe of 60s music that is better than this.
Totally fine 2000s rock/pop.
Very average.
I can see the appeal of this genre of 90s rock, but it just falls a bit flat for me.
It's a little to unpolished to stand out too much. I enjoyed it, but it mostly left me craving a better version of this style of music.
The author of this list has to be English and have nostalgia for the 1980s. This is yet more totally average 80s music by a British group I've never heard of.
I find this quite enjoyable. Nice indie music and a nice voice.
Some more average British music.
A few classics on here, but I cannot listen to this much disco in a row.
Totally fine background music, but pretty generic.
I find Elvis Costello bang average. Would never go out of my way to listen to this guy.
James Brown is a legend. The dance moves, the screeching, the break beats. Not a fan of live albums, but the man has an undeniable aura to him.
What a horrible, whiny voice with 80s synth pop backing.
Yeah I just don't like 80s music. The only good thing about this band is I learnt what Inner City Pressure is a parody of.
Back to back? Hopefully this means I'm done with them.
George really was sitting on a stack of music that John and Paul wouldn't let him put on Beatles albums.
