Pearl JamI've loved Eddie Vedder's voice since first hearing "Alive", and later "Into The Wild". His voice conveys pure, raw emotion, making it perfect for storytelling.

This album took me back to 90s old school hip hop. Great album from start to finish.
I went into this not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't understand the lyrics, but was impressed by the instrumentals and vocals.
I wanted to like this but the first couple of songs weren't for me. It started getting good from "You and Whose Army?" but not great. The album overall felt incomplete. I think a couple of songs will grow on me with time.
Just seconds into the first song, I knew immediately I would love this album. Loved the vibe and vocals. Very well done.
Beautiful vocals but the album didn't excite me until the last couple of songs. "Raised on Robbery" really woke the album up and was by far the best track.
I was expecting better. Some catchy hooks but mostly just noise at times.
Great, upbeat album. Loved the vocals and how well suited the different singing styles were to each song. Guitars and drums on this record were great
What a voice. What a performer. Wish I could've seen him live
I feel like this album will grow on me with time. There are some great songs on here, perfect for late night drives
Never heard of the band so I went into this not knowing what to expect. Wikipedia had the album listed as alternate dance, so I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. The singer has a unique voice and the music felt almost ethereal at times. They almost lost me at the first 7 minute (mostly instrumental) track ... Does any album really need two 7 minute long (again, mostly instrumental and repetitive) tracks?? Idk but I liked the second one better than the first for sure. Overall it was a great album
Feels like I've just entered the toilets at a fun African restaurant, and life is good
Voice like butter
Some really good songs on here. "Bombsite Boy" and "Gary Gilmore's Eyes" really stood out for me, and I'll likely revisit the album again for these songs. Some tracks felt like filler but maybe they'll grow on me
The first half of the album had me questioning why this record was chosen for this list. He saved in the second half.
Great live album. Great vocals.. I just don't think the 16 minute drum solo was needed though
I could listen to this all day
This album goes so hard
The music made for a chilled listening session, but the vocals were underwhelming at times, and didn't captivate my attention. "So Long, Marianne" was the best song on the album. I feel like I could've got more out of the album had I paid more attention to the lyrics, but for a first listen, I'd say 2/5.
Very chilled album. No fillers
The music itself was chill but it was hard to get past the lyrics which were mostly cringey. The vocals were boring at times which didn't help either
Nice, chilled, comforting sound, but didn't wow me
Instrumentals were great. "Are you ready eddy?" was a fun track to finish with
Unique sound and great debut. Some songs didn't connect with me but I think they'll grow on me with time
I loved every track on this record. It didn't disappoint. The guitar and drums were insane
Good lighthearted album. Really enjoyed some of the slower songs
Instruments were all insane. I just couldn't get past the vocals. Seemed annoying at times
The songs didn't resonate with me at first. Tracks like Cheree felt like they were on the verge of something great but didn't quite get there. The lyrics were odd, and seemed almost improvised. I decided to listen again to see if I was missing something. I preferred it the second time around and was more aware of the influences drawn from this record that were present in albums by other musicians. For that reason, I'll give it a 3
Classic synth pop at its finest. I feel like this would've been groundbreaking at the time of release
Great album. Loved the guitars. It's just a shame reading the reviews is how I found out Eric Clapton is/was a racist :/
Great album, full of energy, but the vocals came across exaggerated and pretentious at times
The guitars were sick. I loved every track. Technically an EP so it shouldn't be on this list but glad I was introduced to this record and band
My friend's a fan so I went into this expecting it to be good. I had only heard Our House prior to this and found the the other tracks were a fun listen, although borderline racist?
Music was good but felt like the songs dragged on here and there
Creating a song game made up of tape loops of studio recording errors is genius. The songs are great, very diverse and I'll definitely be listening again
Sounds like they were drunk when they recorded this haha I liked the first half
There were parts of songs that I liked, but as a whole felt too long and sounded quite repetitive
Smooth voice and a lot of heart
Some of the subject matter was questionable but I liked the overall vibe
Good album but the songs started sounding the same after a while
The singles are timeless. It's the first time I've heard the rest of the album and loved it
