1001 Albums Summary

I was kind of surprised at how many of the songs I recognized/ liked, but honestly it was a little much for one sitting

I always forget how much I like U2. This isn’t one of my favorites of their albums but Mysterious Ways is such a good song that bumps it up a bit

An all timer.

Listened to this while answering emails, perfect soundtrack for getting stuff done

Didn’t really grip me until the b side. Solid 2nd half!

First thing I’ve been served I had never heard of before. I really enjoyed it! I’d I could do half stars it would be a 4.5

A delight. Not quite a 5 because there were a couple songs I could take or leave but I had a lot of fun with this one. Would rate 4.5 if I could

I started this album like “waow, why don’t I listen to more of the police??” And then the song “mother” came up and I was like ah and then the rest of the album was normal? I’ll call this a 3.5 rounded up

Banger after banger. Probably a top 25 album for me

A favorite of mine. I like how cohesive the album is and I like how much fun they’re obviously having. Probably a top 5 of all time for me

It was fine. Idk, it was better than I was expecting but it’s not really my taste.

I liked Chest Fever but wasn’t a fan of the rest

I feel like I’d be really into Radiohead if it was instrumental, but thom York’s vocals really harsh my vibe

I had pretty positive feelings about Ms. Springfield already, but I was surprised by how much I liked the whole album.

I liked this more than I thought I would. I thought some of the samples especially were fun. A high 3.5

I really liked this in high school, and tbh I still know all the words to rebellion (lies) but this album is merely fine. Low 2.5

There is no world in which I could’ve predicted *anything* about this album. The orchestral parts kept it fresh, and overall it was a delight to listen to (besides your dictionary, what the fuck was up with that) 3.5 rounded up to 4

Dudes rock. This was better than I expected, especially the spoken word stuff and wallace

Not generally my taste, but really well made. I enjoyed the lyrics especially.

The guy obviously has talent and it grew on me as I listened, but I probably wouldn’t go back to it

So cohesive, such an amazing project

I’ve heard the singles off this album approximately 1000 times (like most people) and I was worried id just be tired of them. I was really impressed with the rest of the album as well, so it’s easily a 5

I’ve got no clue why this is on the list but all in all I enjoyed it

Top 5 of all time, and definitely my hype up album. The singles are great, but IMO diesel power should get more credit

What is there to say? Every single one of these songs is a classic

Jump was my favorite song as a kid bc my dad was an accountant and I thought the line was “you gotta roll with the budget”. 4 stars.

I bounced off Felt Mountain hard tbh. And I had put this one off because I didn’t expect “more folksy goldfrappe album” to be my thing but I was pleasantly surprised

Didn’t like it as much as fat of the land but still good

A pleasant surprise

I’m a sucker for big distorted guitars but I think that As Ugly As I Seem is my fave song on the album

Sweet dreams is obviously a classic but the rest of the album was also a treat, especially Love is a Stranger

Love some jazz rap. What a smooth album

Did not like nearly as much as definitely maybe

Ray of light is pretty handily the better album but this is the one that I owned so it holds a special place in my heart

I didn’t really get this one at first then looked at some of the info about this album. The change in perspective did wonders

I like the sunshine underground better, but this was still a great time

I didn’t like this quite as much as Zombie, but still such a solid record.

Had more fun with this than I thought I would. I liked the prog elements and how much they committed to the subject. I felt like the last third dragged a bit.
