This album is kind of whiplashy, the funk rock then the non-funk rock. A few take aways: Mike Patton > Anthony Keidis Hearing him sing these funky songs is like listening to Bradley Nowell doing patois. He should stick to the slow bangers. But always “magik” was spelt correctly Feel bad for Flea, slaps and then take the back seat. Shows the musical range of John Frusciante.
