Not my kind of music, mastering was a bit dry.
Recordings were fine, music was nonsensical and
not enjoyable.
Slower pop songs, very popular album. No complaints,
mastering was good but not mind blowing.
Good mastering, not a fan of songs being sampled from others. Also not my favorite genre.
Music can be repetitive. Good beat and melody, voice is great. Not really my favorite type of music though, doesn't resonate with me.
Mastered like crap. Anything higher than 3kHz sounds muted and dull, the bass guitar sounds like its being played from the next room over. The music is a weird mix of country and hard rock, not a horrible mix but the songs themselves are really bad
I wish this album was mastered better. Fun electric guitar and the beat was fun. Bat Out of Hell, Paradise By the Dashboard Light, and Fpr Crying Out Loud were a bit longer than what I like though, after 4-5 minutes it was just too much. Also why the moaning in PBDL? Was that really necessary?
Good album, no song was offensive to me. Mastering was OK. Enjoyable album, some songs I already knew.
Really enjoyable album, to my surprise! Powerful message as well. Well mastered, bassy & warm sound. Very deserving of 4.5/5.
Suprisingly funky. The album in its entirety is 'ok' but a few songs stood out. The mastering was interesting, not crazy detailed but there was solid imaging and spaciousness.
It's weird to say the least. I feel like it has a good story throughout the album but I'm not honestly sure the message. Very much folk music, it isn't mastered badly but not good enough to redeem itself completely. Behind the voices isn't too much instrumental, it's more-so a method of enhancing the story being told. Not my kind of music.
Awful mastering, no low end or high end. I like a decent amount of rock but not this. Singers voice annoys me. Lyrics didn't feel especially exciting and overall I felt like the music elicited no emotion from me.
It sounds like a very classic halloween character decided to make a music album. Its… weird but not horrible? Mastering is shoddy, depends on the song. Sometimes it's decent, sometimes the vocals are masked by whatever the drums are doing. Some songs sound kinda like blues while others I can't even describe.
I feel like I'm in a 1950s movie set as they are doing an overhead shot of the MC's location and are about to talk to someone important at a party. Mastering isn't anything special but honestly the music is pretty fun. Not good enough that I'd listen to it any other time but it's perfectly enjoyable.
Very slow acoustic country. It isn't bad, just too slow to want to listen to it in the future. Bill has a great voice but it wasn't really used for anything interesting, it's not emotionless though. Mastering is really good, in Eid Ma Clack Shaw you can feel the air pressure due to the rumbling of the bass drum on the right side.
Good, not my favorite rock music. Mastering was good but nothing jumped out at me.
Songs vary wildly in quality. Some are mastered well and have a good melody, some very much do not. Instrument choices are sometimes odd and can ruin a song.
Great album. Mastered really well for what it is and most songs were really good. I didn't have any particular song that I disliked. The variety in tempo was very refreshing after getting a few albums that stuck to one kind of tune.
Mastering is good but the music itself is exactly as you'd expect from the genre. Not great, but it also isn't meant for me.
Good mastering for the 70's, singer also has a great voice. Music itself didn't really resonate with me though, and while I could listen through the album there was nothing that I really would want to listen to again.
Surprisingly good, I had a preconcieved notion that this album was a hard rock album, when it really isn't. A lot softer than I expected, and good tactility to the mastering. I wish the songs weren't so long though…
Very much an album from 2001. Vocals are pushed back and the rest of the mastering wasn't anything special
Just bad. From the mastering to the music itself. Couldn't get myself to enjoy the melody and the music sounded flat. Not my thing.
The kind of music and the vocalists voice don't match. It's hard to describe but its like expecting rock music and then getting a that nasally friend who can't sing despite putting in so much effort. The mastering is exactly what you'd expect for rock/country music.
Mastering is pretty bad. Instruments bleed into each other and the bass is overdone in post editing. It sounds like everything has a low pass filter. Music itself was dull, made worse by the already bad mastering.
Great album. Not super into folk music but the mix of modern instruments and enjoyable melody made it an easy listen (for the most part). My only gripe is that, as seemingly a quality of folk music, songs didn't really have a melody that kept constant, so while I may like the first half of a song, the second half doesn't usually match that.
I liked the guitars, mastering isn't the worst I've heard, however the songs themselves just aren't that interesting. The vocalist sounds like they are being strangled.
This album makes me wanna shred a skateboard off a cliff
Its funky and enjoyable. Sure it isn't the best thing I've heard but I could listen and vibe to it easily. Mastering was good too.
I love the slower songs by TSP, Tonight Tonight, 1979, In The Arms Of Sleep. Then, in the same album, they also have songs that sound like a teenagers rebellious phase.
Mastering is good but the music is monotonous. Each song kinda sounded the same except for a select 1 or 2.
I see why people love him but I can't really enjoy most of the songs on this album. Mastering is good but songs either took too long to get to an interesting part or just never got interesting to me. Exceptions, of course, include Higher Ground, and thats it.
Her voice is fantastic and the songs generally are interesting and unique. However, I didn't really find them impressive enough to want to listen to them in the future.
Nostalgia wins every time. Thanks dad, your skewing the results. Live music usually isn't my thing but these recordings are great! Everything is crystal clear.
Free Bird is definitely a song of all time. To be honest, this album suffers from songs that are just too long. They get boring after a while.
These songs trick you. They are sometimes acoustic while othertimes they are just awful barely melodic rock. The slower songs of this album are leagues ahead of the rock songs.
It's as if I have been placed into the world of the princess and the frog. Not great. Songs are really slow.
Fun album, very much indie rock. Its enjoyable, although mastering isn't a standout. Reminds me a bit of The Killers in some songs. The seamless transition between songs was incredibly satisfying
Its not great. The mastering is dull and vocals always seem to take to the background. Makes words hard to understand while the lackluster guitar and drums take the center stage. The songs themselves aren't that interesting or fun either.
Run Charlie Run was a shock as I was tuned out when it started. Overall the album is fine, mastering is good but the music isn't for me. It's a bit dull and its message doesn't resonate.
It's ok as background music but it isn't good enough for me to want to ever revisit it. It's the kind of music you'd hear when a character is walking through a city during the opening scene of a B list romcom. Mastering is good though.
It's refreshing to have a modern album after a while of poorly mastered rock music. It's a relatively calming album, well mastered and very interesting. Each song has it's own story, and listening puts you into that "world". For my tastes, however, it falls a bit short in the music part. I like it, but I don't like it enough to want to listen to any of the songs again or put them on a playlist.
My ears! They bleed! Seriously, what is with the super harsh noise on every song?? It's obnoxious.
It’s a solid album, although Wish You Were Here is by far the best song on it.
It jumps between being really raunchy and very aggressive. It's very jarring but it definitely puts in perspective eminems emotional state at the time. "Kim" especially is honestly horrific to listen to, very good, but I hope I never have to listen to it again.
Honestly I expected more from this album. The Beatles are very good, I won't say they aren't, but most of the album was completely average. Listenable, but very much background music to me.
I heard somewhere that your taste in music reflects whats going on in your head, and I can confidently say now that my brain does not function like a 6 year old playing with a synthesizer
It's not as bad as I was expecting. It isn't great, but its listenable.
It's Elton John. It's a solid album. However, I do not think its really exceptional compared to his other work. None of the songs really hit the spot.
It sounds like the few band students you knew in high school got together to make an official band but they lost their lead singer and the guitarist became the vocalist. At least it has tits on the album cover, it gets +.001 stars for that.
Enjoyable to listen to, not anything I'd revisit though.
Mellow, calming to listen to. Some very popular songs on this album that I knew but had completely forgotten about.
It's fine. It’s a Beatles album, although it's a bit slower than their more popular songs.
Not good. Not my genre though.
It's like putting on noise. The guitars are harsh and the vocals don't make up for it. Not my genre.
Feels like im watching a teenagers coming of age movie and the older sister is blaring music while going through her emo phase.
I agree, NY is known for a lot of things. But I guess that doesn't include electronic music.
Sweet, mellow, but also pretty fun at times too. It can go from relaxing to feeling like your in an old town bar drinking with cowboys. I probably enjoyed this album more than I had any right to.
