Personal Jesus and Enjoy The Silence are obviously bangers. Not yet sure about anything else on this album.

Well I've listened to it once before I die. Cocaine has a lot to answer for.

Mannish Boy is a monster of a song, always has been always will be.

I like grunge, but how this lot became as big as they did (say compared to The Screaming Trees) is a mystery on the basis of this album.

Huge fan of Neil Young but hadn't listened to this before. Helpless is a cool song, but not taken by anything else really.

I remember how exciting this was when if first came out. Still is. The casual misoginy though...

I listened twice but couldn't see why this one caught the eye. Perfectly fine but not spectacular.

I think this album was ruined for me by how ubiquitous it was when it came out. On listening again it's got some fine songs which for me are taken down a notch or two by too much bad 80s synth.

I listened to this a lot as a teenager. Grace Slick has an amazing voice and White Rabbit and Someone to Love are all time favourites. The rest I can leave to be honest.

Hummmm... Aren't live albums a way to fulfil a contract when you don't want to produce anything new? Obviously this was massive when it was released, and I like a walk me home guitar solo as much as the next middle aged man, but really? Show Me The Way and Baby, I Love Your Ways are fine, the rest is too bland to be memorable.

I've got a soft spot for the earlier part of Dire Straits career, so loved listening to this album.

I listened to this quite a few times, as it wasn't one of his I'd heard before. Lamar is very clever, and I can see what people love about him, but somehow it didn't quite work for me.

I guess it's been at least 20 years since I listened to this. There was a chance that this sort of music wouldn't have become stadium rock, but that's what it is.

Post-punk before punk is quite an achievement. I'm not sure that this is their best album, but really interesting.

I had Gary Gilmore's Eyes as a single (out of a charity shop) when I was a teenager, so yep, liked this.

I didn't think much of Haircut 100 when they were in the charts, but I'm glad that this album is on the list. Favourite Shirts (Girl meets Boy) is the standout song.

I think this was the first album I ever bought. Solid.

Having thought I didn't know The Killers it turns out I have heard quite a lot of this album. Can't say it will be one I'll deliberately go back to. Power ballard rock isn't it?

Really hated this one. But still not as much as they hate eachother.

Not my favourite of his late period albums, but still good to hear again.

Not in my top 5 Stevie Wonder albums, kind of feels like it is a big influence on where R'n'B in the 90s came from.

I'm a dilettante when it comes to Dylan, but this one is pure genius.

Nope, not this one. This was the album where Dire Straits and I parted ways. Writing songs with Sting is never a good idea (except for your bank balance).

I own this one, probably for The Weight cause not much else did it for me.

Captures the energy and genius of the early JB exceptionally.

Probably their weakest album (disclaimer I've not really listened to the newer ones), but still pretty damn good.

I listened to a lot of Nick Cave before and after this album, but never this one. It was fine, but for me unhinged Cave is the best Cave and there wasn't quite enough of that.

This was okay, singer song-writer piano driven songs. Nothing memorable on a first listen.

It was okay, quite liked the covers (Black Magic Woman and Oy Como Va) but otherwise wasn't blown away.

Classic of my 20s and still seems to stand up now.

This didn't catch me when it came out originally (if it didn't lead with guitars I wasn't very interested at that point) but glad to have had a chance to relisten now.

Similar vibe to Soul II Soul. There's something profoundly sad that their "yay for refugees" lyrics feels so unlikely to be as well received today.

Bought this one when it came out, but haven't listened to it in at least a decade. Some bits I like (Eternal Life) the rest I can take or leave.

Bought this one and listened to it quite a bit, but it's been a long while since. As with all live albums there's a bit of was this a contractual obligation being met, or perhaps a way of getting a "best of" compilation out there? (And god knows if there was overdubbing.) But overall I enjoyed listening to it again.

Completely new to me. I like a bit of underground hip hop so it was interesting to go back to a source.

I got Stutter as a single when it first came out and saw Elastica live a couple of times. So, sang along to this album and wallowed in memories of being young.

Another one that I own, but haven't played for a long time. It was good to reacquaint myself with it before putting it away for another couple of decades.

Double albums hey. Kashmir is such an awesome song and there are a few others that are in the cannon, but could it have been a single album?

Were they the saviours of rock 'n roll? I mean it's no Marquee Moon, but what is? Not terrible, occasionally good, sometimes irritating.

Saw them on the tour they did to promote this album. Perhaps not their absolute best (Daydream Nation for me), but still awesome.

The singles are great. Reminded of being a teenager and the thrill of discovering music that you know your parents can't get.

I don't know, never really understood what people like about this. It's not offensive but... it is a bit bland.
