Too long. I live the musical and this isn't as compelling, but there's a lot of great stuff here. Definitely worth a listen and it's legend status

Bloated. I feel like Speakerboxx is better with age and The Love Below is worse. The idea that we let Andre 3000 get away with those abysmal lyrics!

The hits are bangers but the rest feels samey and, honestly, pretty immature. I thought this might blow my mind as an overlooked germ, but I think I paid it the right amount of attention at the time.

Excited to get Canned Heat, but got disco Stevie Wonder instead.

This is great. Admittedly, it sounds dated in parts, but the non-singles don't feel like filler. I probably won't listen again, but I appreciate it

More interesting than I expected. I'm most familiar with The Message (the song) which feels pretty dated in 2026. It's easy to see how it's foundational, but I expected it all to feel as dated as The Message (the song). It isn't. With some exceptions. There's a lot to like here and not just in a nostalgic way.

Of all the albums that make me feel nothing, this is one of them.

Started meh and just got worse until I turned it off. My first non-finish in my 1001 albums journey. I decided I don't have to listen to everything.

I debated skipping this album. I have a bias against Black Sabbath based on who I think their audience is and certain expectations of what this would sound like. I'm glad I listened. This is much more musical and stylistically diverse than I was prepared for. This is a great album and well worth the time. More guitar heavy than I would prefer, but honestly an enjoyable surprise.

...but if you can get past the misogyny, homophobia, and graphic violence...

The problem with Sigur Ros isn't that the music isn't good, it's that I don't know when I would listen to it. I don't think I live a down tempo electronic atmospheric life. Maybe I'm more of a sad trombone instrumental

Ol' Sourpuss himself

This album confused me. I had to listen to it a few times, but I like it? The Beach Boy harmonies, but not the Beach Boy sound I've come to expect.

I think this is too early in the Pixies discography for me. Too raw.

After the album finished, Spotify played better later-era Psychedelic Furs songs. I say, skip this one and start later in the discography.
