1001 Albums Summary

Not as bad as I thought it would be, but probably won't listen to it regularly. Too many fade outs at end of songs. Like...a lot.

Some of the songs were a little too out there for me, but I totally get the hype behind her. Absolutely has bangers I would listen to again. I have know about Bjork my entire life, but this is the first time I have listened to an entire album by her.

Excellent album; little funky, very soulful. Will be listening to again!

Honestly...I liked this way more than I thought I would. A little too much symphonic passages as the album went on, but not at all what I expected from the Bee Gees.

I adored this album. Yeah, its weird, she's out there, but her song structures, use of percussion and ear for hooks made for a very enjoyable listen.

Two of their best songs with a bunch of filler sandwiched in between. Was not familiar with Country Honk so that was kind of interesting to hear. Idk why, but the Stones appeal to me less as I get older. Not a bad album, just not one I'd lean on when I'm in the mood for them.

Wowowow. Can't believe I have never heard this and its crazy to think that this came out in the 70s. Seminal album in the history of hardcore punk. Have to be in the right mood to put this on, but damn, what an album it is.

I really want to like this band more than I do. The instrumentation is excellent, but I cannot get into the vocals for some reason. Still a classic for a reason.

Absolute perfection. Everyday People had to be one of the best songs ever written.

I was 18 when this came out, but only remember the band by name and was wondering how I missed it. After listening, I totally see why it passed me by. Definitely not something I would have appreciated at the time. Even now, after listening, I get why it might have been a big deal, but a whole album of this is too much for me. Some funky , groovy songs, but I think I would appreciate them more if a song or two were sprinkled amongst a playlist.

Liked it more than I thought. A lot of reggae blends together for me, but this had some standout tracks. Fun listen.

Was completely unfamiliar going in, but was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this album. Good energy throughout. Will absolutely be seeking out more of this band.

Really enjoyed the front half of the album, but started to lose interest. Ethereal, dancy, and good times still to be had.

Never got too into Bjork's solo career, but I really enjoyed this.

I...guess Im not into Joy Division as much as I thought I might be. A couple songs hit for me,, but not an album I'm going to revisit any time soon.

I'm very glad this was my album for the day. I listened to this way too early in my discovery of Bowie to really grasp how magnificent it is. Golden Years has always been a favorite, but this album really does continue to show his artistic progression. Absolutely wonderful.

Epic album. Reading about how much drugs he was doing at the time makes absolute sense. Some filler here and there, but definitely shifted my opinion of Todd Rundgren.

Breathtaking album. Might not be everybody's cup of tea, but I found it to be a great listen as I was driving around. Highly recommended

Look, I dont dislike this band, but most of their songs sound the same to me. This whole album blended together and before I knew it the album ended. Ok, maybe I don't really like AC/DC

Had listened to Ocean Rain and Heaven Up Here before, but had never listened to their debut before. Less of the gothy vibes, but still very enjoyable album.

Have always been a casual fan of The Knife, but a whole album of this was too much for me. A song here or there would do me fine.

Absolute stone cold classic. Fantastic writing from start to finish. Always thought I liked Dolittle the most, but this album hit me in the best way. All hail The Pixies.

I used to adore this album, but upon relisten, I'm not sure where I stand. Some fantastic musicianship here, but so many songs devolve into jamming or just noise. Maybe not as fond of it as I once thought I was.
