Popular Reviews

Live At The Regal by B.B. King

Loved this, captured the spirit of live music Playlist add: "Worry, Worry"

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul

A little less serious of an album, I didn’t think the interludes really helped this one Playlist add: "Eye Know"

Lost Souls by Doves

First repeat artist other than Bob Dylan, and these two albums came within two days of each other. LOVED this, even more than the first album I heard from them. “Sea Song” was incredible Playlist add: "Sea Song"

For an album that supposedly changed the game a lot of it was just sound effects? Playlist add: "Time"

The Score by Fugees
Apr 10 2026

Masterclass in tasteful sampling Playlist add: 'Killing Me Softly With His Song"

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Apr 11 2026

Incredible spring album — “like a church like a cop like my mother you wanted me to be truthful” wow Playlist add: The Same Situation

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Apr 12 2026

I love 70s music — storytelling unmatched really. This wasn’t totally my cup of tea but I can see how it was popular when it released Playlist add: "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)"

All Directions by The Temptations
Apr 13 2026

“Papa Was a Rolling Stone” was so long, but generally I like Motown Playlist add: "Love Woke Me Up This Morning"

Apr 14 2026

Obsessed with this honestly Playlist add: "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight"

Pretenders by Pretenders
Apr 15 2026

I did not like this very much; this is one of the 80s vibes that made me say I hated 80s music when I was younger. The rage I felt when “Brass In Pocket” started (one of my least favorite songs of all time) was incredible. The last track, “Mystery Achievement”, did some heavy lifting for that second star. I skipped listening to the entirety of the deluxe version that Spotify offered, nay, threatened, me with. Playlist add: "Mystery Achievement"

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Apr 16 2026

Used to not love The Smashing Pumpkins but I think I get it now — will re-listen. Playlist add: "Hummer"

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Apr 17 2026

Didn’t love this, even though I have been in my EDM / dance music bag lately. Playlist add: "Holdin' On"

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela

I famously dislike jazz, and I doubt anything in this list will change my mind but I'm trying to be open Playlist add: "Inner Crisis"

Apr 21 2026

Not only was this annoying to listen to but he was also kinda a terrible person and it bleeds though here Playlist add: "Perfect Day" because I had to put something there

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Apr 28 2026

I really enjoyed this, I was daunted by how long each track was initially but they didn’t sound like they went on forever through the listen Playlist add: "Walk On By"

Third by Soft Machine
Apr 29 2026

“There’s no option to give you a zero so I give you a one”. Dissonant, unsettling, lost the plot Playlist add: "Moon In June" because I had to put something there

I know he’s an icon but I can never get over the cadence of his vocals, but it was still cool to hear everyone having a good time in the background - additionally the choice to leave the post-show music playing for a few seconds after he finished his set was so cool Playlist add: "Visions of Johanna - Live at Free Trade Hall, Manchester, UK, May 17, 1966"
