Masterclass in tasteful sampling

Incredible spring album — “like a church like a cop like my mother you wanted me to be truthful” wow

I love 70s music — storytelling unmatched really. This wasn’t totally my cup of tea but I can see how it was popular when it released

“Papa Was a Rolling Stone” was so long, but generally I like Motown

Obsessed with this honestly

I did not like this very much; this is one of the 80s vibes that made me say I hated 80s music when I was younger. The rage I felt when “Brass In Pocket” started (one of my least favorite songs of all time) was incredible. The last track, “Mystery Achievement”, did some heavy lifting for that second star. I skipped listening to the entirety of the deluxe version that Spotify offered, nay, threatened, me with.

Used to not love The Smashing Pumpkins but I think I get it now — will re-listen.

Not only was this annoying to listen to but he was also kinda a terrible person and it bleeds though here

70s rock strikes again and hits a home run

Pleasantly surprised, the instrument choices were so interesting. I’d never listened to anything like this before! Helped change my mind on some of my negative opinions toward British post punk

I really enjoyed this, I was daunted by how long each track was initially but they didn’t sound like they went on forever through the listen

“There’s no option to give you a zero so I give you a one”. Dissonant, unsettling, lost the plot

I know he’s an icon but I can never get over the cadence of his vocals, but it was still cool to hear everyone having a good time in the background - additionally the choice to leave the post-show music playing for a few seconds after he finished his set was so cool

Great classic rock album

One of my favorite albums of all time, and the first album I’d already listened to before!

Unfortunately although I was intrigued to see this pop up, it didn’t do much for me

I like Beck but I’d never listened to a whole album before. I thought this was super interesting

Really vibey - enjoyed this immensely

I know this is a classic and it was only 15 minutes long but it was not a fun 15 minutes

Her music just has such a peacefulness and thoughtfulness to it

Okay I was skeptical but I actually thought this was interesting

This was just fine — apparently he wrote three of the songs while fighting a 102 fever and it does show

Genuinely enjoyable disco, I can see why this saved their career

A little less serious of an album, I didn’t think the interludes really helped this one

This sounded different than I expected it to, I don’t know how I feel about it now.

Musically this is awesome, but I’ve never been able to get into the vocal style of this type of rock

Someday I’ll have listened to my last Bob Dylan album on the list and that’s what gets me through

“Two Weeks” is one of my favorite songs these past few years but I didn’t really get the rest of the project

First repeat artist other than Bob Dylan, and these two albums came within two days of each other. LOVED this, even more than the first album I heard from them. “Sea Song” was incredible

Sick summer album, I don’t know if I would’ve liked it as much if it had been selected in the winter / fall. I thought this was interesting sonically and lyrically.
