live dylan is the worst dylan
I mean, it is Bob Dylan but there's a lot of Bob Dylan on this list.
If I had a physical copy of this, I would give disc 1 to Alex, and only keep disc 2. Miss me with Bob by himself with his guitar and harmonica, and give me his band please. That's not to say the first half doesn't have value, as Dylan is incredible at setting a mood, drawing emotion from his audience, and telling a story through a song. It's just too bad that I hate him as a vocalist, with the characteristic affectations and vocal swings absolutely driving me mad. By the time the band comes in though, either I was getting used to it, or his ability as a songwriter was coming through more clearly, as I was genuinely enjoying it. Either way, I don't think I'm gonna be a Bobbo fan anytime soon.
sorry but this was so fucking boring and that harmonica made me wanna scratch my eyes out. there was very few songs that I could actually listen to in completion. sorry
Nice
I remember the excitement surrounding the official release of the Manchester “Judas” concert (misnamed as RAH here on purpose). You know, no YouTube then so it was just a legendary story. That they edited the heckling out of this was slightly disappointing, but it’s an incredible set, and we finally got to see the “Judas” moment in Scorcese’s film later.
7.5/10 few classics and gorgeous voice, sprinkling of humour but also poignant.
I have to be in the right mood, but Dylan can be enjoyable.
Not a Dylan fan
Standard Dylan.
Jesus Christ, Bob. Give that harmonica a break.
I know he's a legend, but never really been my thing. I'll give it a go. Not my cup of of tea.
@@. Just can't get into him.
Just not my cup of tea!
There's no getting around how many classic Dylan songs are on this album. I normally don't like live albums because I feel like the crowd detracts from the songs, but this album it felt very intimate, like Dylan wasn't in a studio but was just singing direct to me in Albert Hall. I really enjoyed it, probably the best Dylan album I've gotten so far
Good concert. Some songs were a bit uninteresting. Some classics, some lesser known. All in all pretty good but probably not going in my rotation
I've never listened to Bob Dylan seriously, and this showed that can be an experience. I'm not a native english speaker so maybe I lost a good part of the meaning of the songs, but I liked the mood.
More Dylan. He plays the hits, it’s a live album. It’s not for me
Imo very boring
Not a huge fan of Bob Dylan, but the album I listened to had commentary before every song so it was neat to hear why he wrote certain songs
I just done like his voice (or the sound of harmonicas).
I respect Bob, but I just can't get past the wobbling voice.
too slow and winey
Lyrical complexity did not compare to the fat harmonica jams.
Den första halvan var typ en etta och den andra halvan är kanske, kanske en fyra. Så det är svårt. Seglar nog in på en trea.
I do not like Bob Dylan
Absolute rubbish. I suffered through this album and almost turned it off at one point through Tambourine Man. I managed to listen through to the end which is the only reason I've not given it a 1. But only just!
Disc 1 was more enjoyable than disc 2.
An undeniable songwriting talent, Bob Dylan is already one of my favorite titans of music. This bootleg recording from '66 is a great example of both his one-man-acoustic style and his full-band-electric style. Just a dang good record front to back.
Not bad but the music portion always seems ancillary to the lyrics
Love the contrast between the first and second halves of the album. Hard to believe so many of his hits had been written before 1966. GOAT songwriter
Took me a while to get into it but I like it!
1966. Key Songs: Like A Rolling Stone
fine live album, don't think any versions stand out as 'must hear' live versions however very cool this recording exists in such good quality for superfans of Dylan
Need to simmer this down further
It was awful. The man can't sing and long harmonica solos just become unbearable.
Ballad of a Thin man sounds amazing, but Dylan isnt an amazing live artist
I hate when people think they care
ok
Gnällig och jävligt släpig röst när han sjunger live. Plus för att detta är den berömda Judas!-konserten.
