Talented guys, just don’t feel like it held up. Giving them three stars though because I admire what they were trying to do here

It’s a classic for a reason! It’s not often someone comes along with something to say like de la Roche did. Through in some innovative guitar techniques and turn the energy level up to 11 and you’ve got an album that still holds up 25+ years later.

Im actually not a huge fan of the pre-Walsh era of the eagles but they definitely take it up a notch with him here

Actually ended up liking this album more than I thought I would. There’s a lot of variety here and the Pixies manage to make their sound more assessable while still retaining some of that uniqueness that made them famous

Anyone that’s able to spearhead a genre revival like this is ok in my book

Great representation of the last dying gasp of the 90s

Not my favorite from him but it’s hard to go wrong with Bowie

Definitely more assessable than her other stuff

I’m not a huge jazz guy but you can’t deny miles Davis’ brilliance. Besides, this is some top tier background music

I about lost my shit when Coconut came on. Should have known that Coke wasn’t clever enough to come up with a jingle like that

Fun album, prefer the more vocal approach he takes with his other albums though

Harmonies are on point but you can tell it’s a bit dated. I’ll give it a 4 just because California dreaming is such a classic

Love Lou reed but feel like he can be hit or miss a lot of the time

Iggy’s best work imo. Really manages to keep the raw energy of his earlier work while refining his approach to make it more assertive and assessable

Usually not a fan of new wave so I was surprised to find myself liking this so much. Great album

Definitely more straightforward rock and roll compared to their later releases. I like their experimentation later on a bit more but this album isn’t bad either

I’ve listened to this album dozens of times and it never gets old

It’s a bit avant garde but I always loved this album. My music teacher in college always used to say that only 1000 people bought this album but every one of them went on to start a successful band

Relax is a classic but the album really drops off in the second half

I liked the title track but thought the rest of the album was pretty boring

Pretty interesting album, enjoyed it much more the second time around

Not a huge Damon albarn fan but this one was heavy enough that I was digging it at times

Not really a fan of missy but those timberland beats as smooth as hell

So I’ll start this off by saying that I’ve got nothing but respect for the Beatles and that I do enjoy some of their later work. But the sound they have on this album is one of the reasons I could never get into them, it’s just way too poppy for my tastes.

Hard to go wrong with Marley. Probably his best work

Definitely more my pace as far as the Beatles go. There’s a lot going on here musically, I can see myself coming back to this one

He’s got a nice voice but I honestly hate this kind of music

This band is so much fun. Heads will roll is a classic (remix is better though)

Really like these guys sound but I think it gets a bit repetitive throughout the album. Still has some bangers on it though

Classic dad rock. Not their best work but there’s still some tasty riffs in there

There’s a lot to unpack here and I can understand how it’s not for everyone but I appreciate the variety and willingness to try something new

Not even my app time favorite song can save this from being a dud

Best debut album of all time? No, but damn if this one isn’t ambitious

Nobody has the energy little Richard has. Crazy how well his work has held up over the years

Classic album, even today no one sounds like the pixies. Love how they’re able to blend more commercial sounds with some of their more out there ideas. A lesser band wouldn’t be able to pull that off

Everything I hate about 80s music

I love the work that he did with moby grape but I think his talent was spent at this point. It’s too bad, really make you wonder what could have been

Always thought of them as the bittersweet symphony band but clearly there’s more to them than that. Really enjoyed this
