Tapestry
Carole KingSurpringly amazing album. Love the "spread out" feel to the music. Instruments are independent but work well together. Subtle in parts but very balanced
Surpringly amazing album. Love the "spread out" feel to the music. Instruments are independent but work well together. Subtle in parts but very balanced
Absolutely blown away by this phenomenal album I had not heard of until today. A blend of Sgt peppers, Early Who, Pink Floyd, the Kinks and many other bands I can't think of right now. Definitely peak 60s psychedelia. It reminds of a less pretentious Tommy with a big focus on sound.
Amazing album, lots of great covers. Originals are spot on. Kurt messes up a few times but the band is pretty spot on. Something magical about this performance maybe it's nostalgia.
Amazing album. Loved it from front to back. Lots of good blues stuff with killer keyboards
Nothing great about this album . Not terrible but not memorable in the least
One of the greatest rock albums of all time. Big guitar sounds, every song is great
First 2 tracks are weird. Some good melodies but seems like they're trying too hard to be strange. Beautiful freak. Not bad song repetitive lyrics. Not ready yet: best song so far. Very 90s. Overall not bad musically has some nice touches. Array of instruments and nice progressions. Lyrics are very pedestrian and predictable? While others seem random to be random. Maybe too weird for me personally. Some instruments seemed out of place. Some recording effects are great would be interested in learning a bit about some of them.
Tracks 1& 3 weird noise - meh lyrics. Song 2 - great track, that's why it was so big You're so great, best track yet though trying too hard to give that "old record sound" most of the others it sounds like the guitars were recorded waay too loud. Most songs are just noise, not really structured. maybe was not in the mood for it? Sound more like songs that would be fun to go see live but not on an album
Seemed a little conservative at the start for a mid-late 60s album. Got some beach boys vibes to it. Love how a lot of the songs have harmonies based on vocals.
Great album. Singles are amazing. Ahead of its time for the early 90a. Bet a lot of mid to late 90s bands got their sound from here. Listened to it on shuffle (by mistake) hoping to give it another listen as an album. Only thing keeping it from being 5 stars for me is some of the other tracks are just ok and some of the lyrics seem pretentious
Pretty good acoustic album. Nice guitar although pretty generic.
Not bad. First song definitely a hit. Some really cool and interesting instrumental bits. I'd like to listen to again but doubt it would be in my rotation
Not bad. Kind of boring, songs sounds the same in a repetitive way. Single is by far the best track
First 4 tracks are amazing. Unique guitar and bass. Pronounced bass. Great use of stereo and songs blend perfectly - seamless transition between track 1&2 Singles dont even come in till later this album rocks, surprisingly enough ive never listened it it its entirety.
Songs are ok, recording pretty basic. There are a lot more exciting albums from that era. Though it's definitely easy to see why it started off rock and roll. Simple instrumentation but effective.
Amazing album, great mix of folk and jazz. First track i wasn't big on but the rest of the album was solid
Good album went a bit too 70s funk for my liking for this style. Some instrumentation felt a bit too forced especially earlier on in the album. Some great arrangements though.
Musically pretty cool, lots of different instruments played throughout although a very strange album. I'm guessing a lot of drugs were used in the making of this album. Would be interested in listening to some more Waits and maybe coming back to this one. Which was ok but maybe i wasn't in the mood for this one.
Not bad, not really for me. Interesting beats and lyrics. Maybe a bit too "Thug" for my mood
The good: love the use of natural amp distortion on the guitars and the vocals. Some nice blues riffs, drums are cool, covers are good. The bad: basic lyrics on original songs, sound is pretty generic even for the time. Liked the beach boys vibe earlier on but any unique sounds were abandoned later on. I'd love a count on how many screams are on this album. Got tired of them by the 3rd song. Conclusion: average album even for the time. There are a ton of r&b albums before this that are much more original and exciting. A lot of rock albums around the time are also much better The very bad: does this guy have to scream in every fucking song???
Cool instruments, different sounds. Great change from a norm. Can see how this album influenced others in the 70s
Awesome bass lines, great guitar riffs. Pompous lyrics. Good album, worth another listen
Great tracks, classic country, awesome covers. Not my usual tastes but will listen to again
No "bad" songs on this album but also none that stand out at all. Kind of boring and bland. Not much to see here
Great sounds. Punchy driving. Very angsty. Love the raw,.unpolished sound. Lyrics are by a bunch of guys who just want to get laid. Juvenile but it works with the music.
Fantastic album. Knew some of the songs beforehand but never listened to it before it it's entirety. Great songwriting, instrumentation, arrangements. Definitely needs to be listened to as an album
Love the introduction to Indian music. Different scales leading to different sounds. The sitar is an amazing backing instrument, when its the lead it's chimey and annoying. A talented musician for sure but the sound got old fast
Great album, classic rock and roll, lots of great tracks
Lots of sounds different instruments used, very early 90s sounding. Album peaked the first song which is a great track. Others following were just ok some a little annoying
Some great tracks a cool 'American' album that is solid from start to finish.
Good album, cool vibes, interesting songs i dig it.
Good album, great use of horns though nothing special or revolutionary about it. Would give it another go.
Cool vibes. Love his deep voice. Works well with the album. Fav track is the duet with Kylie Minogue
Great baselines. Album starts out strong but songs later on seem a bit generic. All in all a great album would give 3.5
Stellar album great tracks, great riffs, unique sound. Awesome
Amazing acoustic album. Will definitely listen to it again
Good album solid songs though some are a bit repetitive and annoying at times
Great album, lots of cool guitar and bass parts to it and definitely a distinct early 2000s sound
First album I have got off this list that is absolutely horrible. Most of the album is Nu Metal garbage, uncreative. The single (drive?) seems completely out of place with the album up until that point. It's also one I usually change the station on when it comes on the radio. Battlestar scratchtica is the first one I didn't hate, not bad but not great.
Cool metal album. Good riffs, good tracks. Nothing mind blowing. Lyrics are like they're written by a teenager but other than that not bad
Wanted to like this album. Started out strong. 80s vibe with some cool bass parts and arrangements. Then it got weird with the lyrics and the songs. Album went on for too long
Another album I wanted to like but right from the start it's him complaining about his ex wife via song? Not very interesting or refined in any way. First half of the album I did not like at all, 2nd half not much better some decent grooves but I was happy when it was over
Cool album. Really dig the punk rock covers of classic songs. Juvenile lyrics go great with the music. Raw, great example of early American punk rock.
Great album. Mix of American and English folk music. Love the guitar with the violin.
Cool album, enjoyed all the songs, none bad, singles I had heard but pleasantly surprised with the rest
Felt like he was trying to be like frank zappa. Trying a little too hard to be weird. Musically ok but nothing life changing. Will try again another day
Not bad. A little boring not a whole lot of catchy or mind blowing stuff, nothing that bad either
Killer album. Starts off strong. Greats bass lines and guitar riffs
I always hate when an album peaks at the first song. This one did but that's not to say there aren't a lot of great track. Cool instrumental parts. Simple guitar for some of them. But definitely a solid debut album.
Liked it good tracks though nothing mind blowing
Cool vibe. Early 90s sounds. Looks like oasis got a lot from this album
Not bad but not great. Didn't finish the album because it was way too long and too much of the exact same thing.
Great album front to back
Good album. Good tunes, nothing legendary but nothing bad
Cool tracks. Good use of electronics with instruments. Nothing bad but nothing amazing either
Fantastic album great use of blues, horns, lots of a cool sounds . I'm a guitarist but free form seemed a little bit wanky. Weakest track but still killer.
Great album.starts off strong, lots of 80s vibes in there. Gets a little weaker in the middle to the end but still a quality album.
Good live album. Would have loved to see them live but for an album it goes on a bit.
Pretty much annoying from the start. The only positive is that it's different? Not in a good way.
Great live album. Drums are phenomenal never a dull moment.
Cool album. loved the first 5 tracks or so then it got mostly just "ok"
Great album. Started off a bit odd but some cool sounds. Cool progressions
Fantastic album, great songs, lyrics and general vibe.
Pretty good. A little odd at times but enjoyable.
Great album. Love most of the tunes, lots of good guitar parts vocals and arrangements. Some songs a little odd stopping it from a 5 rating would give it 4.5
Fantastic album from front to back. Great songs, great flow to it. Feels like an album. 2 discs and I never got bored.
Cool album. Amazing bass playing. Not my type of music normally but this album rocks
Amazing album from front to back. He's basically a country Bob Dylan. This is what country music sounds like when it's good.
Awesome album. Great musicianship which I was not expecting. Got a little repetitive near the end. But cool style.
Okay album. Started off with some interesting and unique songs but later on got a bit repetitive and boring. No really "bad" songs but also nothing that memorable
Some good tracks, interesting tunes. Nothing mind blowing.
Amazing album, lots of great covers. Originals are spot on. Kurt messes up a few times but the band is pretty spot on. Something magical about this performance maybe it's nostalgia.
Good album. Much better than the last one I listened to. Lots of good dancey tunes, some odd lyrics but that's expected.
Phenomenal album from start to finish. Opening track is high energy and it doesn't let you all album. Great grooves, basslines, arrangements. Killer album.
Pretty good album. Nice riffs, cool bass. Everything is good but nothing mind blowing 3.5
Great opening track. Tracks 3&4 both phenomenal. Hits a few songs which are ok but seem more filler. Great Segways in between songs.
Ok album. Some hits. Nothing amazing. Very 80s. High 2.5
Better than the last Marvin Gaye album I listening to but still not great. Other than the single "Let's get it on" every song is meh. A bunch of words going with music without much melody. He got into a niche which made him famous but the album is not impressive. High 1.5
Pretty good album, lots of great acoustic parts, love the song with Natalie Merchant. Some good tracks would like to listen again High 3.5
Good album, solid instrumentals and musicianship. Not a lot of hooks but still enjoyable
Solid album. Start of heavy metal. Missing 2 songs on spotify which was disappointing.
Some killer tracks on this album and others more pretentious and meh. Probably a low 3.5
Pretty good though so many songs missing from spotify
Solid album. Some so so songs but some great ones as well
Not bad album. Some good tracks though nothing mind blowing.
Solid album great folk songs. Up there with Dylan easily. Only 4 stars as there are no mindblowing tracks but definitely something I'd want on vinyl.
Nothing great about this album . Not terrible but not memorable in the least
Great album, cool vibes a lot good tracks perfect for restaurant background music.
Amazing album, post punk, different sounds. Cryptic, dark, cool sounds, basslines and guitar are interesting. Lyrics and vocals all unique and work well with the music
Ok album no bad songs but nothing too exciting. Nothing really memorable about it a day later
Great tunes. Innovative and interesting. Lots to listen to.
Amazing album classic country. Love hearing classic Nashville. Great guitar
Great Jazz album. Loved the guitar and sax especially. Great use of electric organ. Simple yet complex album. Dug it a lot
Ok album, no bad songs but no really good ones either. Probably won't give it another listen.
Great album. Some more experimental songs in the middle of the record. Good, not great. Finished with amazing songs. All along the watchtower and voodoo child. 4.5
Starts out ok, decent music. Weird lyrics. If... has ridiculous lyrics but sure... pretty odd albums with some ok parts but mostly forgettable
Average album, annoying at parts
Great album. Amazing guitar and cool use of a variety of instruments. Definitely listening again
Good album great lyrics. Can get a bit repetitive.
Solid album great tunes
Starts out amazing. Some great tracks go into some ok tracks. Then "I've seen all good people" comes on and it'd amazing. Rest of thr album is ok 3.5
Decent album. Music and lyrics were interesting, better than I was expecting. Clever wording and a mix of serious and funny. Sound got old quick though and album got boring. Could have been 1/2 an hour shorter.
Decent album with decent guitar. Songs aren't too memorable but no bad ones
Ok album not my thing but good lyrics. Songs got old quick
Great album. Some iffy songs later on but solid.
Enjoyable album very Castlevania feel especially early on. Some classic 80s sounds, very common for the time. Good but not great, some songs are a bit repetitive. 3.5
Musically an absolutely amazing album. Lots of interesting instrumentation throughout. Songs are good but only a few memorable ones. 4.5
First 4 tracks are phenomenal. Enjoyed them a lot, great lyrics and music. 5th song started to get more electronic which didn't work as well for them. Most of the rest of the tracks were ok, nothing too memorable though I really enjoyed the final track May Jo. 3.5
Good album singles are all solid tracks with some others in between. Big sounds from 3 instruments. Some forgettable tracks 3.5
First track annoying. Hope it gets better. Songs overall are ok. Good for background music except the first and last songs. Both annoying and unnecessary. 2.5
Pretty good album. Probably progressive for the time but not overly interesting with no memorable songs 2.5
Great album mostly hits. Some unremarkable tracks
Ok not great. No bad songs but none that really stood out. Cool use of instruments and some horns. High 2.5
Starts off alright. Songs are catchy enough but sound gets old quick. Last song is the best by far
Ok album. Good production. Ok songs. Nothing groundbreaking or memorable here
Cool country rock vibes. Best song is the last one Hippie Boy. High 3.5
Great album. Great acoustic songs, no misses though only a few memorable songs high 4.5
Nothing exciting here. Lots of ambient sounds. Not really my thing
Wasn't a big fan of this Album. Started off good but sound got a bit old and the literal lyrics bugged me a bit. Album also too long did not get to the end
Ok album, cool sounds but nothing really that memorable
Another mediocre album by My Bloody Valentine. Lots of noise songs with ok use of effects but not really My thing. Last couple songs were pretty good which ups its rating a bit would give it a low 2.5
Great album with a unique sound without going overboard with instruments. Love the bass lines and guitar riffs. Drums aren't bad too. Cool album but not absolutely killer songs. High 3.5
Good album some great tracks. Different vocals keep it fresh
Good tunes good album classic punk rock stuff. Nothing too memorable though
Good album. Rocking tunes. Nothing too innovative but they have their sound
Cool album big sounds, catchy first song. 1st non English album on the list I've had and I'm impressed
First few tracks are great. Faithful was annoying as chipmunks were singing. Best track is The Food. Lots of good stuff here. Not really my normal sound but high 3.5
Classic psychedelic rock. Lots of great tracks not his best but very good
Amazing album. Loved it from front to back. Lots of good blues stuff with killer keyboards
Surpringly amazing album. Love the "spread out" feel to the music. Instruments are independent but work well together. Subtle in parts but very balanced
Not really my favourite though only a few bad songs. Covers are good but not too memorable. Good for a change but nothing too remarkable
Holy wall of sound. 70s style lots of instruments and lots of notes everywhere. Really liked the guitar sound every time it came in. Everything else not so much. Most songs annoying Fernando is the best track along with the final one
Not bad decent songs. Seemed like the style was on its way out as it
Good 60s album good, good guitar, nothing bad. Nothing too memorable though. Would like to listen again
Killer album. Singles are amazing, rest is great driving punk inspired rock.
Ok album. Very short but a perfect amount of time for what it was. High energy song
Amazing album great 90s Jams getting out if the 80s
Great tracks pleasantly surprised
Pretty mediocre. Nothing special here
Cool vibes though annoying lyrics and some decent instrumentation. Not really my thing but not the worst
Pretty ok album. Some good songs some ok songs. Nothing too bad or too great. Kind of right in the middle
Pretty good, upbeat live album. Not too memorable though
Killer album from front to back. Gets a little weaker later on in the album. Great lyrics, melodies. High 4.5
Solid jazz album. A classic.
Pretty boring album. Nothing inventive or interesting. Nothing very bad but no urge to listen to it again.
Pretty good album good acoustic tracks interesting arrangements
Screaming is not great. Guitar sound is ok. Best song was an acoustic track.
Unimpressed. Not bad production quality but repetitive and annoying. Some songs In the middle were a bit better but not great
Ok album. Kind of show tune sounding. Not bad but nothing too exciting for me.
Good album distinct sound but not overly creative but a solid 1st album
Pretty good 90s album some memorable tunes
Kind of ok throughout. Some good beats and bass lines bit nothing great
Great album. Variety of instruments good songs. Words of the time
Solid album. Great 80s vibes went on a bit long though
Cool album lots of good variety and some catchy tracks
Ok but nothing really stands out
Great album, had heard the singles before and liked them even more with the rest of the album. Felt very complete from front to back
Great album. Strong start and a lot of great songs throughout. Great vibes from exiting the 80s.
Great album through and through
Pretty good album very late 90s with some of the electronic music of the day. Singles are great but rest of the album is mostly ambient and nothing too mind blowing
Had a lot of hope for this album at the beginning of the first song but then it got repetitive and boring. Seems like this inspired a lot of electronic music in the 80s. But over all pretty average.
Amazing album all the way through. Tons of great tracks with big sound. "Turn" especially. Sounds of the 90s which were refined from their first album. Secret song is also a surprising but great addition to the album
Cool jam bad album, starts out strong with "Who do you love" and is basically a set. Solid song changes. Lots of mood changes. Cool album
Ok album. Pretty cookie cutter 80s/ early 90s. Nothing groundbreaking but nothing bad
Starts off cool. Really likes the drums throughout. Wasn't a big fan of the more out there stuff later on in the album. First half is really cool 2nd half is so so
Enjoyed the 2nd half a whole lot more. Seemed more unique and interesting. First half seemed a bit generic. Not bad may give it another go
Not a bad album though not really my thing these days. Some good bass parts and beats. Got annoyed by some of the samples and the artifical record crackle
Good album. Singles are stellar. Lots of great tracks sounding more 90s than 80s. Solid album front to back
Not bad. Some cool sounds.
Love this album. There were a few songs I knew from hearing before but the whole album was solid. A few slightly annoying bits but it's an album with a distinct sound and feel.
Great album. Didn't love it as much as their previous one but this one was pretty killer
Cool album. High energy over the top rock and roll. All the songs sound pretty much the same. Lyrics are a little mediocre but the album rocks.
Everything is just OK in this album. Nothing really bad. Cool bass in this one. Everything is just... ok
Probably my favourite 90s hip hop album on this lost (so far) some good rhymes, beats, bass. Some annoying tracks. Not really something I'd listen to regularly.
Cool album. Very blade runner esque (pre BR) lot of ambient sounds. Mostly instrumental but I dug it.
Classic metal album, timeless sound. Though gets a bit old at times.
Another 90s hip hop album I wasn't too stoked about. Ok beats and bass. Gets repetitive quickly. Seems like a lot of 90s hip hop albums are an hour + and repetitive. Not really my thing.
Some interesting guitar parts and ok songs. Nothing groundbreaking even for the time.
Pretty good 👍.
Enjoyed this one more than some of the other 90s hip hop. Lyrically strong without unnecessary excessive profanity. I'm trying to focus more on the lyrical quality of this genre to help me enjoy it more.
Fantastic album. Something you'll definitely have to listen to a few times to soak it in. Lots of different sounds to discover, very electronic compared to the bends but definitely showcases their development musically. Memorable album without memorable tracks. Songs are better together than by themselves.
Good concert. Some songs were a bit uninteresting. Some classics, some lesser known. All in all pretty good but probably not going in my rotation
Great lyrics, great songs
Wasn't thrilled with this one. Some Ok songs some annoying ones. Nothing too great.
Pretty okay album. Decent songs, not too memorable though. Nothing too bad. Middle of the pack
Awesome album. Rockin 80s guitar that's borderline cheesy but no where near as much as the likes of whitespace. Makes me want to blast the album in the cassette deck of an 88 corvette while sharing a delicious 40 of Olde English with my best buds. Only thing keeping it from a 5 is some weaker tricks near the end.
Didn't love this one. Started out ok but got old quick. I get it, you like going to the bar.
Not a big fan of this one. Songs got old quick I didn't make it all the way through.
Amazing album, different than their later stuff. Definitely 60s psychedelic jam bad stuff. Cool sounds like. Definitely needs to be listened to in stereo. Only complaint really was some of the effects are over the top. 4.5
Amazing album with most tracks not normally heard when listening to thr who
Average overall. Annoying at times but ok
A good electronic album from the 90s. Brought back memories from the time, ok for nostalgia but don't think I'd go back to it again.
Enjoyed this one as a hip hop album which isn't normally my favourite genre, some good beats and lyrics. Could definitely see this paving the way for 90s hip hop.
Pretty amazing psychedelic album. Definitely a lot of weird and melodic sounds here. Some tracks would hook a lot less than others but It's definitely something I'll listen to again.
Nothing too special about this album. Often too repetitive at times. Some songs were cool bit got old quickly enough.. nothing too bad.
Great LA late 80s rock vibes. Good guitar, lyrics. Some songs got lost in the mix but solid album.
Not bad. Enjoyed most of it, nice samba vibes though don't know if I'd come back to it
Incredible album from front to back. There's something great about the raw sound to this record. Definitely has been in my rotation since it came out and I still listen to it to this day.
Good live album. Good memories from some of their hits but feel there's a bunch of better live albums out there.
Amazing album. Great songs, emotional, passionate. Giving it a 5 though really a high 4.5. After River the last 2 songs are a little weak.
Solid live album, classic blues elements with a polished sound
Amazing album, obvious why it's a classic. Great album to listen to closely or just have in the background.
Good album. Some classic songs. Some misses
Enjoyed this one - liked that it started with a disco feel on the opening track. Lots of cool guitar and bass parts to listen to. Only heard "lovefool" from this album before and the rest was pleasantly surprising.
Cool 70s album. Lots of great bluesy riffs and can see this album being influential for many albums in that era.
Fully admit: this is one of my favourite albums from thr 90s. I like every track, there are some great transitions between songs. It's one of those albums where if each song wasn't played in order it would sound wrong. Really dig the production as well.
Enjoyed this album a lot. Players are all amazing, so much to hear and discover. Will definitely listen to a few more times at least
Great album. One of the few albums that gets better as it progresses. Wasn't a big fan of the first track but it gets good when it gets to the title track. I was surprised I liked the instrumental tracks so much. Probably give it a 4.5 due to some so so tracks.
Everything about this album is just okay. Started out pretty strong but songs just started to sound the same before long. Not amazing not bad l. Just okay.
Fantastic album front to back
Love the fusion of genres and the "space" between the instruments that that works most of the time. Some of the songs were definitely a little too "out there" for my liking. All in all a cool & different album
Love the 80s but not too 80s vibe of this album. The first song is absolutely amazing... unfortunately it kind of goes downhill from there. Songs are a little unremarkable and end up getting stranger throughout. Cool use of effects at their disposal. Might end up giving it another listen but maybe not.
Great album for guitar. Didn't love it at first but it grew on me.
Phenomenal album. Might have been how my day was going but this one hit me just right. Every song has a great groove. Love the Satisfaction cover. New find for me will be listening to this one many more times.
This album starts out amazing. The first 3/4 of the album is killer with some filler added to the rest. End of the album was nothing too exciting though not terrible. 4.5
Great album. Singles are great and album altogether is solid. Some Skippable song but nothing bad.
Not bad throughout. Nothing standing out to make this album amazing. Do really dig the vocals
Pretty good classic songs. Missing something. Don't quite know what. Ok live album, sound quality isn't the greatest. Enjoyed it.
Not a bad album but nothing to get excited over. Mostly instrumental.
One of my favourite albums of the 90s. Some great tracks starting with "Hello" "Wonderwall" is a classic but probably one of the weaker songs on the album. "Don't look back in Anger" "Cast No shadow" and "Champagne supernova" are all amazing tracks with a few weaker ones throughout. The in between short instrumental tracks go but don't go with the ones they're coming from/leading into. 4 to a 4.5 as far as albums go .
Cool album, lots of interesting guitar Parts and lots of cool sounds
Really enjoyed this album. Starts off strong with some classics as well as some great synth pop 80s tunes. Middle to the end I wasn't as engaged but I loved "he's so strange" Segway into the final song. 4.5
Cool album. Very 90s in a lot of ways but some differences in some songs. Enjoyed the slightly "out of tune " parts which worked. A lot of the songs are pretty unremarkable but nothing too bad. 3.5
Loved this double album now adding it to my album rotation . Great guitar, lyrics, Vibe. Took me awhile to get into it but 1/2 way through the first album i was hooked.
Cool punk album. Wasn't digging the circus music. Good tunes.
Love the driving & energetic guitar and drums. Not really a fan of the grunting vocals. Can definitely see this inspiring metal musicians everywhere. Not a bad album but probably not an album I'll listen to again.
Enjoyed the first 4 songs. Rest of the album was a bit boring for me. Some good guitar guitar bass in throughout. The added tracks at the end were better than the originals. Great vibe all around and better mixes. Liked the drums more on those versions as well.
Great album some classic blues covers and originals
Solid album. Some pretty good tunes but can get repetitive at times
Wanted to like this one but it didn't click. No bad songs but nine that are sticking with me. Can't name a song I listened to. This would be a band I'd probably love to see live but probably not listen to an album.
Enjoyable albums. Simple & classic sound lacking some variety but they found their niche. Nothing really stood out for me too much they're good at what they do.
Not a bad album. Lots of experimental stuff. Some good some a bit annoying. Enjoyed a lot of the instrumentation. Some of the songs were a bit blah 3.5
Wasn't a big fan of this album not much to it. Up until "Nobody's Girl" I was pretty bored. That track was great. The others a bit bland. Might have not been in the mood for it. Final track was solid as well.
A little too new agey and strange for my tastes. Might hit right for some people but nothing very interesting to my ears
Musically pretty good. Good production value a lot of good use of instruments and effects. Songs are pretty mediocre with rich people talking crap about other rich people. Not rally my thing 2.5
Cool album. Simple blues based rock. Lacks a wow factor but not bad.
Not bad some hit tracks but didn't engage me too much
This one seemed to be going big for shock value. Some clever rhymes but pretty much nonsense for the most part. Had a time and place, best left there.
Solid album. Starts off strong, first half is absolutely killer. 2nd half a little more filler but no bad songs
Starts off ok. Lots of 80s sounds. Not bad throughout but only a few memorable songs
Album starts of amazing first 2 songs hit. Then it gets a little worse then a waltz, then better then worse then better... then a little worse. Not a terrible album. Great use of effects but I got more disappointed through the listen.
I wanted to like this album. They had a big sound to many of the songs but they get a bit repetitive and one song is just like the next. Some of the lyrics were pretty pedestrian and seemed just thrown in there. Nothing terrible. Best songs are the scientist and Amsterdam.
1st half of this album I hated. It seemed like they combined the worst parts of disco and rock, blended them together and got an annoying mix which did not work. Repetitive and annoying lyrics to go with it. 2nd half I really dug was like a completely new album, great music great sound. Great production over all in this album but I'd probably only listen to the 2nd half 1st half 1/5 2nd half 4/5 So 2.5/5 really but imma gonna give it a 2
Nothing overly exciting even for the time. Not much going on here. Listenable.
Surprisingly good album I was not expecting. Lots of rocking songs though none standing out too much. Gonna give this one some more listens in the future
Awesome album. A bit odd at times bit great tracks, music and lyrics
Enjoyed this one a lot sounds a bit like Dylan and a good album for the time. As the album went on it got a little more annoying.
Some ok beats and basslines. Lyrics are ok though music didn't really speak to me at all
Pretty good. Some cool punk and new wave vibes going here. Some strange songs. I enjoyed it but wasn't overly excited.
Liked this one a lot some songs got a bit repetitive though
If you enjoy listening to all the worst sounds of the 90s than this is the album for you. The worst of dropped D tuning, a lot of talking with words when they were (I can only assume) wasted out of their minds. Sounds like a bunch of stoners jamming in their basement. Not that there's anything wrong with that I'd just rather not be listening to it. Some of the guitar tones were ok but that does nothing to save the album.
Not bad some good songs but nothing memorable.
Did not enjoy this album at all, aside from the singles which are so so every song was mediocre with annoying rapping and drum beats. Lots of annoying effects which I guess were a thing at the time. Some of the guitar and bass was pretty good.
Welcome to the 90s my dudes! Wow! If any album I've ever heard said 90s it's this one. Dancey beats. Synth keyboards, random horns this album is a slap in your face telling you "HEY!!! THE 80S ARE DONE, IT'S THE 90S NOW MFERS!!" lots of "HEEEEYYYYYYYSSS" lots of "OHHHHHHHHHHHSSS" The cover even says "this is the 90s biatches!!!!" Anyways cool nostalgia for me and I could see how this would be influential at the time but I don't find vibe resonates with me know. Would probably give a 2.5 for the cool horns and the wahs plus the nostalgia factor. Probably wouldn't listen to it again
Started out pretty cool but turned out to be repetitive and boring. Kept going and going. Was happy when it ended.
Meh
Awesome album. Not usually a big fan of electronic music but this one hit right. Last song was my fav.
Fantastic album. Front to back amazing blues rock. Great vibes. Have heard all the singles and the other songs are just as good
Enjoyed this one. Some good songs though none that compare to rumors. Some late 70s vibes but gets a little stale later on in the album.
Great guitar tones. Cool use of instruments throughout the album. No songs really stand out. Gets pretty boring and goes on for too long.
I had only heard the title track from this album before and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of great folk elements and thoughtful lyrics. Wasn't a big fan of the album as a production some songs seemed to just end. And listening closer to American Pie I found some of the tones to be pretty meh. Amazing lyrically but could have been more refined musically.
Pretty good album. Didn't love it but nothing too bad. Seems like a band I'd like a lot more live than on their albums.
Good album, wasn't blown away by it except for the Hallelujah cover. But all solid tracks .
Not a terrible album though songs go on for awhile and gets a little boring
Singles are fantastic. Some great tunes but others on the album are just ok.
Amazing guitar but not much else to lobe about this album. Sound got old quick. Lyrics were odd. Nothing too exciting
Enjoyed this one. Cool songs and lyrics. Very 90s dropped D. Angsty songs fav was the divorce song though none of the others really stood out. 3.5
Lots of great Segways in this album. Started out electronic with some instruments and full on electronic by the end. Some strange lyrics that didn't really speak to me but all in all not bad. Can see this one being influential with the electronic music of the late 90s
First song was great... the rest had a few parts of tracks here and therr but it's a big nope from me
Not bad. Good vocals and some good songs. Help cover was awful. Nothing too groundbreaking or interesting
One of the greatest jazz albums of all time. Great sounds, tones.
Had to stop half way through. Couldn't do it anymore. Sounds like Lyrics from a bad poetry reading. A lot of rhymes and lyrics that made me cringe a bit. Piano parts were pretty good. Best I can say about this one.
Dug the James bond/ surfing guitar sounds. Pretty simple, and a little annoying. Do not really like their voices. Can't say I'd listen to this one. 2.5
Yeah not a big fan of rap rock stuff. Music was ok enough but nothing really attracting my ear.
The singles from this album are absolutely amazing. Great vocals, guitars horns. Most of the other songs are pretty unremarkable
Surprised that I enjoyed this one as much as I did. Good tunes lots of good mellowness . Nice rhymes instruments etc. Didn't blow me away but it was enjoyable
Amazing album from to back.
Sure it's ok. Some decent jams but not really for me.
Liked this one. Bass playing is great, songs are good. A little whiney though. Would check out again
Enjoyed this one. Lots of cool sounds. Pretty experimental - drags at times.
Pretty good & heavy. Some rocking tunes but got pretty annoying at times
Was pleasantly surprised by this one. All the songs were interesting and innovative. Not really my normal genre but really good.
Kind of a boring album, nothing particularly bad about it some ok use of instruments and effects. Lots of ambient sounds a little trippy.
Enjoyed this one. Lots of good tracks, not so much a fan of the Westside story rendition and a few other parts were annoying but for the most part a good album
A really good blues album that's missing anything really memorable. Songs are good but not 'next level' like some other Stones stuff
Great guitar work, bass work throughout this album. Loved her voice. Some good songs but nothing amazing. Would definitely listen again
Really good album. Good tunes all around, love the use of vocals throughout. Would like to have this album by a camp fire
Fantastic album, starts off strong with "revolution" and onto "fast car" then mellows out a bit. Whole thing is emotional ups and downs. Great lyrics, guitars & singing.
Incredible album, great songs, lyrics, and production.
First song was ok, 2nd song made me want to pee... it all went downhill from there.
Great use of space in all the tracks. Love the complication in simplicity.
Pretty good Christmas album, lots of the classic hits you'd want to hear around Christmas. Not that remarkable for a standalone album
Rocking punk album that hits. Love everything about this album.
Enjoyed this one a lot. Great tracks with big sound. No overly memorable tracks but all consistently good.
Amazing and iconic albums. Every song is brilliant
Really enjoyed this one. Not your typical album when it comes to lyrics or vocals. Refreshingly unique at a time when the genre had a lot of good albums to stand up to.
Strong start to the album. Love the first 4 songs especially the bass. Lost a bit of interest later on.
He's got a good voice but none of the arrangements are anything special.
Sound got really old quick. Songs are ok if not all pretty much the same. Nothing I'd want to go back to though
Was only able to access 1 song. Liked it. But need to hear more to give the album a rating
Love the guitar parts and harmonies in this album. Lots of cool parts overlapping. Lead vocals are good though not too memorable. Songs are also good but not too memorable.
Felt like Nirvana "lite" - good early 90s grungy vibes but lacking the songwriting chops that nirvana had. First song was pretty annoying though most of the album stayed pretty solid all the way through.
Nothing incredible or unique about this album. Songs are pretty generic, sounded very late 90s indie pop. Wasn't really interested most of time
If you wanted an entire album that sounds like a bunch of songs from classic Disney movies but is all about the dudes girlfriend/lover or whatever cheating/leaving blah blah than this album is for you. Nothing groundbreaking. Album gets stale quickly. All songs sound the same. Vocals and some of the instrumentation are ok but I was glad when this album was over
Enjoyed this one. Punk rock vibes. Great lyrics. Love bass and drum parts.
Enjoyed this album more than I thought I would. Had some great 80s vibes and such and variety of instruments throughout. Had a retro feel but sounds very modern. Songs get a little weaker later on In the album. Fav track is 'Doesn't Matter'
Full disclaimer: the songs on this album are all "Missy Elliott Exclusive" - I'm glad she let us know this at the beginning of each song. Some decent rhymes, some not so great. Didn't like any of the tracks except for the back in the day one with Jay -Z. Everything else was not for me.
Good album. Very 90s. Interesting bit not too memorable
Singles are amazing. Everything else pretty ok. Basic Rock N Roll fun
Incredible. Loved the Album front to back. Had heard the big hits before on thr Album but they work much better in chronological order.
Amazing album. Classic rocking tunes all through. Some lyrics a little dated and the sound is pretty constant for the whole album. Lemmy rules.
Good album. Great guitar and i really enjoyed the bass playing in this one. The title track was the only huge banger on this one.
A lot of good not great songs. Some great guitar parts but nothing too dynamic
Loved the vocal harmonies in this one. Good not great. But definitely an album of the times.
Cool album, big sounds. A great Alt music album. did lose interest at times in the middle to 2nd half of the record but in definitely think I'll be listening to this one again
Incredible blues. Album, enjoyed every track on here. Guitar, organs, drums all phenomenal.
Sure.
Pretty average album. Not much going on here too interesting. Some big sounds and guitars worked with then music fairly well.
Ok album. Would only put it on as background dinner music.
Enjoyed some tracks, hated others. First track very blah, blank space was great. Then the quality level of songs starts dropping . Shake it off was ok but not great and bad blood is an objectively bad song. After that things started to get a bit more interesting. Better songs although less catchy than some of the singles. Will probably give it another go in a few weeks to see if I feel the same.
Great music Lyrics are kind of mediocre when you actually listen to them
Boring album. Some decent bass lines. Lyrics are meh and even annoying at times. Nothing great to say about this one.
Yeah this one is a big NOPE from me. Couldn't wait for it to be over.
A combination of some of the worst elements of rock and rap. Most of the lyrics are pretty cringe. On the plus side production value was pretty good. Some good guitar tones too.
Solid album. Lots of cool, mellow songs. Not a huge fan of the record crackling they did on there. Good chill album but very the same throughout
Pretty okay album. Songs seem more influential that historic. Nothing too memorable but some cool things done in the instrumentation and production.
Loved this album all the way through. Great songs, lyrics and riffs
It's ok.
Pretty good jams
Enjoyed this one. Lots of cool mellow vibes. Some great songs although some not overly memorable. Sound got a little old for me by the end but I enjoyed it.
Great use of stereo in this one. Loved the production. Lots of cool uses of different instruments. All in all great album
Starts off strong but overall a pretty average album.
Enjoyed what I heard though most tracks were not available on spotify.
Not bad. Some ok songs.
Liked this one a lot. Never been a huge Costello fan but this album is well done. Great guitar, bass and drum parts. Cool vibe all around.
Had some ok songs though a lot were just annoying. Lyrics very so so. Not sure why albums need to be 1h 13 mins
Incredible album. Even the weaker songs are good. Love the guitar tones and production of the album.
Enjoyed the bass though sometimes was a bit loud in the mix especially earlier in the Album. Some songs were ok most mediocre. Vocals not great either. Lyrics meh. But I liked the bass
Great album. Not typically what I would listen to but most songs are great. Lasted a little too long but still good.
Can't say I'm a fan. Lots of screamy angsty rage induced rubbish. Some of the heavy guitar tones are ok but the drums sound artificial. Nothing to see here onto the next album.
Nothing overly interesting or ambitious in this one. Songs are all ok but nothing to memorable.
Mellow vibes, great vocals. Nothing overly exciting. Pretty ok.
Okay album. Very 90s some good songs but nothing stood out for me.
Some good tracks. Others not too bad. Influential for sure
Enjoyed this one though a lot of just ok tracks good lyrics, musically just average.
Cool album. Some songs were a bit too busy. Some great guitar in this one
Good, nice bluesy tracks. Great organ and vocals. A few classics and a few ok tracks .
Enjoyed this one for the most part. Autobahn was easily the best track with the quality factor going down and annoyance factor going up to the end of the album
The best part about this album: it's only about 40 minutes long. What could be done to improve this album: make it 30 minutes. What could be done to make my life better: not having had listened to this album. RIP Hip Hop.
Funny that this is probably one of the weaker Beatles albums. This album is fantastic, some great catchy songs and the Beatles becoming the Beatles. Cool rhythms and feel. Lyrics are a bit juvenile and the solos aren't anything too great.
Killer live album. Absolute Rock n roll! Songs can be a bit repetitive but long live mötorhead!
There's nothing not to love about this album. The vocals, guitar, bass and drums are all phenominal. Songs are great. Album is all killer.
Not bad some good tracks, good foundations for rock n roll. Basic everything good not greT.
Cool album. Some great songs on here much better than any other prince album I've listened to on this list.
Great sounds, good Latin vibes. Got a bit annoying and repetitive at parts. All in all a good album. Loved the bass.
Clasaic rock, great riffs great guitar. Some forgettable tracks but overall solid
Pretty good
Enjoyed the start. Some great electronic music. Got old after awhile.
Definitely influenced by The Beatles and the Beach Boys this album is great musically and can be put in the same category as some of the top albums of the 60s and 70s. Enjoyed this one a lot more than any other Bee Gees album I've heard.
Pretty good. Some forgettable lyrics most of a tracks are solid.
One of the greatest live albums of all time. I loved everything about this album. Frampton is one of the all time guitar greats.
Good not great also not really for me.
Pretty generic late 2000s early 2010s album. Kind of the sound at the time with a few tracks that had staying power. It's not that there's anything particularly BAD about this album just nothing particularly good.
Was ok. Single tracks were great everything else was ok. Vocals were great. Rain rain go away was weird
This was about my 3rd listen overall to this album and it gets better every time. All the songs are great and I was disappointed when it was over.
Lots of loud and in your face songs. Found the 2nd half better than the first
Great guitar and bass. 1st half is great 2nd half is ok. Definitely an album to listen to but not a top one on my list.
Best hip hop album I've heard from this list so far. Great tracks with something to say.
Started out groovy and fresh. Kept going and got stale. Seems that through the Album you can see the 90s "r&b" influence. Regardless there's some pretty great instrumental parts. Loved the bass early in the Album.
Some of the guitar is ok but most of the album is a bunch of rambling. Wasn't too impressed with this one.
If i was there live I'd easily give this a 5/5. Great album but goes on a little long. Some Skippable songs later on but it finishes with a bang
Pretty average album. Good, not great nothing very memorable either. Deluxe edition seems overkill for a lot of average tracks. Probably was better than average for the time but didn't age that well. Ok. Not great
Really enjoyed this one. Hidden gem for me. Lots of great guitar songs.
Enjoyed this one though some of the tracks later on were a bit iffy. Cool bridge between 80s and grunge.
Probably one of the greatest albums ever. Beatles at their peak. A complete album
Pleasantly surprised with this one. A lot of great tracks. Some duds. Not normally my scene but pretty good.
Good guitar parts mixed with vocals. Some of the circus and spooky sounding songs weren't my fav but it was pretty good.
Awesome album from start to finish. Classic sound for a 1990 album. Missing a big hit but it doesn't really need it
This is one of those albums thats better in short bits. 2-3 songs at a time absolutely slaps but it definitely has that 80s sound. When this album came out I'd have been sure to give it a 5/5
Starts out strong. Some great songs though a bit preachy at times.. Then the album continues and keeps on. Lots of filler though no really bad songs. Probably just an hour longer than it should have been.
Album that just gets better while listening to it. Starts off a little odd but has a good vibe.
Seems like they're trying to do a bit much with this one. Ok but not great.
Absolutely incredible vocals. A lot of feeling in so many songs some of them I didn't love but this is one of the greatest voices in recorded music history
Couldn't finish this one. Started out pretty good. Then got into some more horrible rap/rock/metal stuff. Production value was good. Drumming with great. Songs are meh.
Not bad. Some classic tracks here but many fall short. Levels throughout the album were odd also trying to do a bit much on thr guitar. Can tell how this album is influential though not one of the best of its time.
Album as a whole is pretty average. Not a whole lot going on that's overly unique or impressive. Queen is becoming the Queen we know in this - it's definitely a stepping stone album.
An average album, lots to take from it thoughsee it as a stepping stone album leading to different styles of rock and eventually punk rock.
Best album I've heard from Dylan. Great guitar and lyrics. Iconic songs and great ones in between
Started of cringey on the first track, definitely wasn't impressed at that point. Got into a few killer tracks after that. Great production on every track beyond. Definitely an album for the time but didn't age as well with the constant homophobic references. Over all a solid album
Pretty good grooves, enjoyable. Not overly memorable but nice.
Really enjoyed this one, energetic & driving guitars with sax blended in throughout. Unexpectedly amazing
Easily one of the greatest albums of all time. Great songs throughout, levels are bang on and the musicianship is incredible. Easy 5/5
The singles at the start and end of the song are 🔥 a bunch of filler in between with some so so tracks. Lots of boing boing boing keyboards. For being an influential album I'll give it a 5/5 overall it's a 4
Maybe an inspiration for 90s r&b. Some decent bass at parts but overall pretty bland. Nothing really sticks out in this album
Definitely something different than most everything out there. Cool grooves, great beats. Very cool. Probably not a casual listening album but really good. One of the rare times where I'm glad the album is over 1 hour long
Not bad..pretty boring though
Good grooves
Not bad. Decent electronic album annoying at times. One track where it's skipping was particularly awful. But overall okay
Average
An album that gets better as you listen to it. Lots of great piano, guitar and bass throughout. Higher ground is definitely the high point with some earlier songs missing the mark
Not bad 👍
Cool album, great grooves and baselines. lacking some wow from many tracks but pretty good
Pretty good post punk vibes. Songs were all ok
Pretty good rock album. Some good songs but mostly not overly special
Great electronic album. Loved most of the tracks. Never quite get why artists add skipping to their tracks 🤷♂️
Not bad a bit boring though
Singles are decent. Rest of the album is filler and absolute 🗑
Some good guitar and fiddle tunes but nothing overly memorable with this one
As nice as the number of songs is there are many songs that were kind of meh. Could have made a 20 song album that wad amazing.
Starts out a bit so so but comes together closer to the middle
Starts off strong but gets a bit stale throughout. Definitely great background music pretty chilled out but not something I'd listen to on a regular basis
Lots of upbeat, cool tunes. Some old surfer vibes. Digging it.
A lot of heavy, driving guitar. Not a bad album but the songs all sound pretty similar Where I'm not noticing a huge difference throughout the album.
Started off weak got better got bad then got better then got bad again. Some great tracks, rhymes and some horrible ones. The one about the guy getting degrees felt at first like he had a point coming but it turned out to be nothing. This track is one that would sound smart to dumb people. Beats are good, Lyrics are 50/50 good/bad.
What a truly awful album for me. Some songs could have been ok but she puts weird sounds over them. Harmonies were obnoxious lyrics were... odd... i finally got to a semi decent track only to find my spotify went to a similar artist after the Album was done. I am now upset because I'll never get that 45 minutes and 45 seconds back.
