Encyclopedic album. An angular sonic labyrinth with so many different directions and innovative possibilities, new shapes forming and collapsing at the same time. Just like Velvet Underground and the Stooges, the only relevant, adventurous and cerebral music (punk and new wave) in the following decades comes from this. People like David Thomas, John Lydon, DJ Bonebrake and Stella Mozgawa prayed at this altar. Shout out to John “Drumbo” French for the arrangements.
