Much of this is not something I would want to listen to, but some parts are so brilliant, 5 stars.

Not groundbreaking, a continuation of great work on broken ground.

Did not like about half the songs, especially Lover's Day.

Great musicians. The singing ruined it for me, is it 'microtonal'? The vocal melodies are similar to what my wife sings when she parodies bad singing.

Fiona is best with beautiful piano and sultry jazzy vocals. This album did not work for me. I think the critics who made this list put a lot of value on people who had traumatic experiences and gave them a voice.

A lovely collection of tunes, but they sometimes drone on into boredom.

I am against themes of violence and discrimination, but this is really well done. If Ice T uses the N word, I hope he is ok with liberal white women using it, too.
