Good album if I was a teenage girl in the 60s this would've hit but as of now I'm not the biggest Beatles fan I like their music but it doesn't speak to me. And I Love Her sounds just like My Sweet Lord or whatever it is by George Harrison(?). It was interesting and I added most songs to my general playlist.
Favourite: Any Time At All/Things We Said Today
Least favourite: You Can't Do That
I really liked this one, I'm a big fan of 70s easy rock and this was a very good example of that, I'd never heard of Television before so this was a good introduction. All the songs made it onto my general playlist and old rock playlist. Some of the songs were a bit long but I'm sure if they came up in my playlist I'd enjoy it. This would be a good studying album.
Favourite: Friction
Least favourite: Torn Curtain
He's really just hooting and hollering huh. I feel like he's just having fun with his later albums. Some of these songs feel like Bowie's taking me on a journey and some of them feel like he's soundtracking a Scooby Doo villain in a low budget movie I love it. I'm confused and intrigued. He has a song genuinely called I'd Rather Be High. I don't even think it's about weed but rather the industrial military complex. I'm actually starting to think this entire album might be about the war in the Middle East. This is about something for real I just have no idea what I'm into it. I love Bowie but I'm kinda a fake fan I just listen to his older more popular stuff but I'm into this.
Favourite: The Stars (Are Out Tonight)/Boss of Me
Least favourite: If You Can See Me
The feels very chill and enjoyable so far. I'd play this on an indie road trip tbh. Very fall hanging out the window vibes. Even the ones I don't like the vibes are still very good. I love 70s rock I'm glad this has so much.
Favourite: My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue)
Least favourite: Sedan Delivery
I'm not going to add any of these to my playlists but I am really enjoying it. Good Christmas pull.
Favourite: Frosty the Snowman
Least favourite: None it's Christmas!
I have no idea what genre this is but I'm a fan. This is the typa thing you'd play while dancing in the kitchen in an apron with the love of your life. Typa music you wanna get up and jive to. Would play in the background of that one scene in DPS. Six songs are unavailable on Spotify so this is an incomplete rating but I'm really liking it. The piano and sax in the back are really rocking. Whoever's on the piano is really going crazy.
Favourite: Honey Chile
Least favourite: La La
I enjoyed this album, I really like the way it sounds, it's not something I would usually listen to but I like how it's so movie. I would walk through a park thinking about the one that got away to this album. I didn't give this as much attention as I should've but it's very ballad-y and I'm just not into that at the moment. Wait it's only four songs?? Interesting. I like this.
Favourite: One Woman
Least favourite: By The Time I Get To Phoenix
Holy fuck three hours?? Ella Fitzgerald what do we have in store here?? I like this, it's very dancing in the kitchen vibes, a lot of these albums for. Her voice is stunning. I want to close my eyes and sway to this. Listen idk who George and Ira are but they cooked. Holy shit that took so long but it was very good.
Favourite: But Not For Me
Least favourite: Clap Yo' Hands
Funky ahh beat I'm liking this it's very jivy. We re getting some instrumental tracks?? This is nice. I'm really grooving with this. Is it really an old rock album if there isn't a song about being in love with an underage girl? Sometimes you just gotta roll with it. Funky ass harmonica work. I liked this one it just didn't really speak to me.
Favourite: Key to Love
Least favourite: Little Girl
It has that classic 70s rockish vibe. The harmonica and the way the guitar sounds. Very similar to the last album. I like it, it's groovy. I really like the vibe but I don't have much else to say about it it's just a chill album.
Favourite: Waiting for the Sun
Least favourite: You Make Me Real
Oh this is funky! I like this break from all the old rock. It starts to just kinda sound the same after a while. I've never heard of this band or anything before and this sound is so alien vibes. Are there any lyrics? I'm getting scared bro this music feels like someone standing behind you. What are we doing here oh my god. What the fuck. I understand it now. This is deep. This is out of this world. Only Scottish people could make this. And they're advocating against censorship?? I'm into this.
Favourite: Rue The Whirl/Pete Standing Alone/Open The Light
Least favourite: Telephasic Workshop
I like the cover this Frampton fellow looks very cunt, did everyone have perms back then or was every rockstars hair curly. Classic 70s sound but a little more buzzy kind've beachy really. I like it. I feel like more 70s rock albums are very similar, it was a very homogenous genre back in the day. Or at least innovation in the genre was just kicking off. Lowkey this is just a basic album I'm not getting anything special, I enjoy it but it's very similar to the 9 other rock albums I've gotten so far. Maybe there's some meaning behind the title and a story I don't know, there probably is but I'm not picking up what he's putting down unfortunately.
Favourite: Show Me The Way
Least favourite: Wind Of Change
I like the vibes it's chill and kinda waiting room. There are a lot of vocalists on the first song are all of them like this? Stevie Wonder is a guy not a band right? I like that this is a side to 70s music I haven't really encountered this is so funky. Woah this is groovy I'm really rocking with this. His vocals are pure class. Some tracks are quite out there which I believe is a very interesting to hear and I'm sure they were quite trailblazing for their time but they're not hitting for me. This is just really enjoyable to listen to, like the lyrics vocals production it's all music to my ears (lol) but no it's actually just very pleasant but still interesting like I don't know what's happening but I'm still picking up what he's putting down. The way his vocals match up with the instruments is so interesting I'm really enjoying this. I can see why Superstition is so famous. Stick it to the man Stevie Wonder. I really liked this album.
Favourite: Maybe Your Baby

I do believe that George Harrison may be my favourite Beatle idk. I don't really know anything about the other ones but still. I like this vibe it's very groovy I can see how he's kinda the hippie one. Is he? I don't know anything about the Beatles. But this is a vibe. Inspired by my people as well. Over 2 hours is crazy though. This guitar work is devious. Why are they all so long how much does this guy have to say. Now I'm sure they're very interesting but I just don't care enough to listen to the alternate versions of the same songs. Super long albums like this tend to drag on a little imo. I feel like there are a lot of British references I'm not picking up on here tbh. I'm happy I'm not though fuck the Brits.
Favourite: Behind That Locked Door

This is so loser core I love it. Typa thing a lesbian in a 2000s movie would have a poster of on her wall. Really enjoying the vibe. It's very me I am the lesbian loser in question. Typa thing I would listen to while getting ready for a night out yk? Like alone in my room smearing black eyeshadow and lacing some docs or something trust the vision.
Favourite: Dog New Tricks

Woah okay. I was definitely not expecting this sound from the cover and title. This is so vibey. I wanna listen to this while staring at the ceiling at 4 am. This is so deep. I'm swaying. That was so good I actually wanna play that around people so they're embarrassed their music taste isn't as good as mine.
Favourite: Blue Lines/Be Thankful For What You've Got
Least favourite: Unfinished Symphony
This is very grandpa music to be honest. I like it but it's the type of thing I would imagine an irishman skipping down a cobblestone road to. Even that's not the right vibe but it's just not really my cup of tea. I like it but I'm probably not going to add many songs to my playlist. I am still enjoying it though. There's honestly not much music that I won't enjoy when I'm in the mood for it and open to listening to anything. Wait what?? Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes hello?? I'm really rocking with this! Paul Simon I was unfamiliar with your game!! This is Simon from Simon & Garfunkel?? What?? Okay never mind maybe I will really like this. Wait I know You Can Call Me Al it was a TikTok song this is cute. Simon I will never speak ill of your name again. This is so good. Homeless?? This is sooo good. Actually I'm a big fan of whatever this guys got going on. I actually really enjoyed that.

What could the lore behind this album possibly be. What is going on. I'm confused and intrigued. I'm really into whatever's going on. I would not have guessed this is from the 2000s. It feels like an artist of old making ballads with fade outs and everything. But it also feels like someone is trying to get that sound and kind've missing the mark a little. It feels theatrical. I would've guessed a theatre kid made this, not a German. But I'm enjoying it, don't get me wrong, I just don't know in what context I would listen to this casually. I perhaps don't believe I am the target audience for this, but I can appreciate it all the same. I will not be listening to these songs on the regular. Do these songs have a narrative? Like is the album a story? Because if so this is going waaaay over my head. It's just so dramatic. Like this should be a jukebox musical or something I wanna see a visual representation of this. Why are we screaming holy moly. What are we talking about right now dog. I'm very confused. None of these songs ended up making it onto my playlists. Also, the last song did not end on a high note unfortunately.

Oh yeahhhhhh. Just what I needed after Ute. This guy is on some funky rhythms. Really into this. Wanna do my hair with some gel and a comb in a funky montage wearing wired headphones to this you feel me? Rock your body baby. Why are most of the songs unavailable on Spotify?? That's sad, but this is something. Literally elio-ing on my couch to this fuck yeah. God this is so 2000s baddie. Wait has Music Make You Lose Control been sampled or is it a sample? Ok it's a sample but it's also been sampled in other songs interesting. Who is this Hot Streak? Idk but I'm a big fan of how LRD used their song. Oh to be alive back then I bet the clubs were bumping. Oh French man don't hurt em!! I can't believe so many songs aren't available that's so sad. Why am I hearing Japanese. Why is it the same thing repeated. Edm hoes will sample anything bruh not even shoppers are safe. Wait is this deep? Oh fuck yeah. I would've been INSUFFERABLE if I was a funky white boy listening to ts back in the day. God knew I'd be insufferable and nerfed my ass. Great album.

This feels like I'm gonna whistle and a bunch of guys with their hair slicked back are gonna come snapping behind me yk? I like it it's swaggy devious rock. It's cunt it's driving though the south with your windows down and some hay in your mouth. I'm hearing words right now that I've never heard before. I like it but it doesn't particularly stand out to me.

Wait that's crazy I've already heard a song on this one. Soft Shock is good. I'm gonna like this one it has good vibes. I like the production and the voice. Heads Will Roll is their original song?? That's crazy. I'm really enjoying this album. I like this sound it's millennial but in a good way. Really enjoyed this one.

This is very Canadian. I don't know how to explain it but it's just very Canada in its vibes and sound and content. Of course there's a franglish song. It's interesting I like it but it's also just meh. I'm only halfway through however. Yeah I like it but it's kinda unremarkable. Also they're using American spelling which is crazy.

This is so 2000s losercore I can't believe it's 80s. I can see some emo with a striped layered shirt jamming tf out to this. I'm liking it too. I love making observations like that because it shows me how little I actually know about music it's funny. This could be so quintessentially 80s and I would never know lol. I'm liking it though. Yeah I don't know what to say about this one not a lot of variety across the album but it's pretty short so that makes sense, it's just emo rock and I like it. Yeah no particular strong feelings about this one.

What is going on here why am I getting scanned by lasers hello? This is so 80s this is like a caricature of the 80s lmao. I thought this was gonna be another boring rock album not something interesting. Where have I heard Jump before?? This is like the 80s song. It sounds the like soundtrack of every 80s movie ever. Do you know what I mean? The synth or whatever in the background is so sitcom. Big fan of whatever tf is going on actually. Maybe from Ready Player One. Definitely from Ready Player One. I really like the guitar it's so cunt. The way it sounds fried (distorted? Idk the right term) is so delicious with the drums and everything. This is soooooo cunt, big fan of this actually. Is it really an oldies classic if you don't have a problematic age gap song? It's a vibe nevertheless. You've gotta appeal to the teenage masses somehow I suppose. You're so right Van Halen, I am a girl gone bad. Speak on it.
Favourite: Girl Gone Bad

Now what tf kinda bullshit is this. Oh never mind this is nice. I do like this album the music if very chill and vibey but is honestly not worth 2 hours. It's a very uniform sound and I'm just kinda blending all the songs together in my head. It's interesting but not interesting enough I fear. Oh thank god the second disc is just extra editions I would not survive another hour of this. Not a lot of comments it's just a chill guy. Is that a fuckung digeridoo track. What.

Ooh this might actually be interesting and different. Hmm. What is this lad on about. Just yapping all over the place really. I like this but it's also so white guy music what are we doing. Yeah same thing with this one it's just kind've nothingburger. Like I have no feelings either way. I like it but if I never hear it again I'm not missing out. What are there so many instrumentals bro no one wants to hear your funky beats. Mid as hell if I'm being honest.

Oh joy another white guys transformative rock album. What could he possibly do that's so groundbreaking. I do like this it's just not that different from every other 70s rock album on this list. I'm just being a hater. He really is just hootin and hollerin all over the place huh. Just screaming into that microphone. Wait why is this kinda cute it's not just rock.
Favourite: Only A Hobo

Wow 70s rock how groundbreaking. I mean it's good but also it's like every other 70s rock album they're all apparently groundbreaking. Like yeah it's good. It's fun it's interesting it's nice. What are they saying. Why is there an instrumental banjo song. Lotta whys with these albums. It was probably the cocaine speaking to them, fair enough. I like this actually, it is funky. Lots of summer mentions in this one. Ok so I'm actually really enjoying this one it's funky fresh af.

Oh boy. I don't know if I've ever listened to a Kanye album. I don't know how to feel about this. I mean he's obviously an incredibly talented artist but the nazi shit is something else. This is truly an amazing album however. I've heard snippets here and there but the sounds and songs are so cohesive yet varied it's very good. Fuck why'd he have to be a nazi man. It's crazy how interwoven Black liberation is to all his music and how he constantly references oppression under white people then turned around and started doing the same thing. I can't presume to know what actually happened there but he needed some actual support with his mental health bruh. Like the strings he's putting in some the track? This actually was groundbreaking. I cant believe he was such a dickhead. The things he's doing in this album for it to go so mainstream is kinda crazy. I can't say I'm too knowledgeable about the rap scene of the 2000s or of ever but this feels very modern in the 2020s so it must've been trailblazing back then. I mean fuck Nicki too, and Jay-Z, I don't know anything about Rick Ross but she's a Trumpie and he cheated on Beyoncé. Whole album full of cunts. It sucks they're so talented. Bon Iver is on this album?? He's actually everywhere. What is this guy up to bruh. This is a spectacular album unfortunately.

Now what do we have her. We are minors 💯. This is interesting. Alternative country huh? Lotta Canadians in this life represent. This is sad wait. Does it pick up I don't wanna be morose at the Oilers game. This doesn't really give me very country vibes but I guess I'm used to more pop country than anything. I like this. Typa thing playing from the jukebox as I'm drowning my sorrows in a run down country bar. What happened to these guys holy moly. Nothing to smile about in my life. This reminds me a little of Mitski actually. I really like the strings. I'm a sucker for strings on an album tbh. This is haunting I really like it. This is more folk than country to me tbh. I really like it. I love her crooning.
