Still more pleasant than listening to country music.

A classic. Not really the type of music I listen to but good nonetheless.
It's... fine. I'm just not the target demographic. I associate this group's music with 15 year old incels and racist american rednecks (not the group's fault, but still).
Great album. Sadly when you get to the end "A Bitch Iz a Bitch" ruins the vibe by being entirely too violently misogynistic for me to ignore.
A bit monotonous at times but I enjoyed most of the songs.
Sigh... Merry Christmas everyone.
Too cheesy. I liked Spanish Dancer and Night Train though.
It has its moments but god does it drag.
that fuckass harmonica
Some of these lyrics read like teenage angst but I enjoy the post-punk sound too much to give a shit about that.
Still more pleasant than listening to country music.
I'm trying to enjoy it, I really am. It's just that anything country adjacent makes me want to cut my ears off and also that stupid maid song just isn't helping.
Sunrise goes so fucking hard.
The Tarkus portion (first 20 minutes of the album) was really good. The rest was just a bunch of nonsense. "Can you believe, God makes you breathe. Why did he lose six million Jews?" Whatever the hell that means.
2 days of Steely Dan in a row... That's enough, I get it.
Good lyricism, I just wish it didn't sound like that.
The album of anxiety and dread.
Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would.
Only a couple of duds (that Jamaica Jerk-Off song is just awful) but everything else about this album is SO good I can't justify giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
I can't tell whether I think this sucks or I'm just in a bad mood. I don't think I particularly hate any of the songs but I'm left feeling a bit irritated. Is it the vocals? Maybe, most likely. I'll have to relisten to this in the future because right now I have nothing. I want to give it 2 stars but I'm rounding it up to 3... as a treat (a treat for whom?). Whatever, I'm going to bed.
It just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... I don't care if it's impressive or innovative for its time, I don't want to hear any more of it.
Decent storytelling but redundant music-wise. Could've skipped those last four tracks entirely.
What an absolute joy. Too bad it's so short.
Sorry for listening to the schizophrenic mormon music in a more complex and nuanced way than everyone else. I guess I'm just chill like that.
No one has ever been this horny before.
It's not for everyone (the vocals can get really obnoxious at times) but if you like post-punk you might get some enjoyment out of this so give it a fair try. Also the song called Socialist is the best one because of course it is.
Good music made by racist assholes.
It's not the worst thing ever... just a bit bland and uninspired. 2.5
This probably hits hard as fuck if you're a 13 year old boy and your crush just rejected you.
I liked this one much better than The Suburbs.
Some really cool sounds (others not so much). 22 songs is just a lot.
He's such a good storyteller you almost forget just how deeply unpleasant his voice and his harmonica are to listen to.
I'm convinced only people born in the United States can enjoy this kind of music. The rest of us just nod and smile and wait until it's over so we can listen to literally anything else.
It starts off with some really cool funky beats and then they give you some disco and some electro and you start thinking to yourself "hey! this is pretty fun!" only for them to then betray your trust by making you listen to the worst Stevie Wonder tribute song you've heard in your entire life and then immediately right after a song about accepting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into our hearts. With that being said, The Message is the best song in the entire album and you should go listen to it.
The first 4 tracks are the highlight of the album.
I haven't listened to this in at least a decade.... it's still pretty fun.
This sounds so much like the 90's, it's a bit trippy. Very much ahead of their time.
I can't decide whether I find that Seductive Barry song hilarious or horrifying.
These types of albums are always an hour long for some reason and they absolutely do not need to be.
Contemporary R&B bores me in ways I can't even begin to explain.
"babe! it's time for your monthly neil young album!" "yes honey..."
I just don't get Coldplay, they bore me to tears.
"It's just dumb glam" well yes!

Those first three tracks are pretty much perfect.
Goofy as hell but it's really not that bad.
At least they're not racist...
Yeah, this fucks.
Boring, long and uninspiring and the dude is an ass.
Good music but I can't get over his voice.
Music's fine. Too bad about the "raping children, marrying children and then also writing a song about raping children" part, but what can you do.
I wanted to give it 3 stars but it bore me to tears.
Yeah, dad's taking the divorce well.
Perfectly normal contemporary R&B, there's not much else to it.
She has an amazing voice but it's all a bit too corny to be enjoyable. Disc 2 was a bit better than 1.
This is good actually and all of you are wrong.
Listened to both discs (Tom Tom Club and Close To The Bone). Tom Tom Club is a 3.5 and Close To The Bone is a 3.
Short and stupid, as most good things are. WHERE'S THE GUN? HERE'S MY HEAD 🗣️
I'm not British enough for this.
This is the second U2 album I get in less than a week... let's stop it right here.
It doesn't matter how many Bob Dylan albums you make me listen to, I'm going to burst out laughing everytime that harmonica comes in.
Can't say I'm a fan of the song that talks about raping an enslaved black girl.
