4/10 I'm not even trying to be a hater but I genuinely don't think you need to hear this album before you die. There's nothing special about the production or the songwriting, and if we're gonna include an album on this list because it has a lot of bops this album doesn't even have enough of them.

I'd rather not give this album a rating seeing that the most impressive aspects of it are technical. All I'm gonna say is that I really enjoy it. Blue Rondo and Take Five are really cool.

8/10 My first time listening to Emmylou Harris and I love it! Really reminds me of Dolly Parton. Maybe not a groundbreaking album but the vocals are amazing and the instruments were nice and kept it fresh.

9/10 My first time listening to a Nina Simone album, and I’m blown away. I’m really impressed by the range of her voice here. “Four Women” is such a powerful song, immediately made me stop everything and just listen when it started.

8/10 'That Lady' is the highlight but the rest of the album keeps a solid pace too. Cool mix of funk and soul.

9/10 I can't exactly pin down what exactly makes me love this album, but the sound has such an ethereal and otherworldly quality that makes it such a relaxing experience.

7/10 While enjoyable, nothing here really stood out to me enough to make me want to listen to this album again. However, I can see the influence their music had on many acts that came later.

8.5/10 I really like how punchy the guitar riffs sound and the bass just sounds great, but I realized after a while that I really don't like the vocals for the most part. I get what they were going for but they're just not for me. Favorite tracks are Starship Trooper and Perpetual Change.

I like KC, but this record eludes me. I gave it two listens, but I just don't think I'm feeling it yet. Some elements grabbed me (such as the violin in Part II of the title track), but I think this one might truly be too weird for me. I Still appreciate the work they put into it though.

8.5/10 I really liked this! Which shouldn't be surprising for me by now, I'd put this album slightly below MSABAF because I really like the sound, but I didn't feel as many songs stood out here.

It's pretty decent for a teen pop album. Personally I'd rate this pretty low on Britney's discography but it's fun and lighthearted and I think there's been a shortage of that on this challenge so far. Britney's voice is really beautiful here and I love how it sounds on Soda Pop. I can't believe that Autumn Goodbye is a bonus track, it's one of the best songs on this album.

9/10 This album is Björk at her most dancey. She was so ahead of her time when it came to making experimental pop music, and it's wild to think this was her solo debut.

This is a perfectly serviceable Baroque album, but I don't think it's a must-listen at all.

9/10 Jimi Hendrix really is a legendary guitarist, I'm surprised this album was 73 minutes long because it quickly passed by. I have to admit it might take some getting used to but there's still a lot to appreciate in how experimental it gets.

9.5/10 This album was my introduction to prog rock and it still sounds as great as the first time, It's just really well made and grabs your attention the whole way. Sometimes I wonder what "The Dream" part of Moonchild as a full song would be like because it's so unexpected compared to the rest of the album.

8.5/10 Every once in a while I randomly get surprised by a debut album. Sultans of Swing is such a damn good track.

8.5/10 It's nice to see a proper 70s disco album here. A lot of disco albums from this era get overlooked by critics because of how oversaturated it was, but this album really stands out with Rodgers and Edwards' production.

It took me a while, but I think I'm starting to appreciate what makes this album so acclaimed. It's really impressive how Björk's music keeps evolving and pushing musical boundaries, not to mention Arca's contribution here. The songwriting might even be my favorite out of all her albums up until that point. However, I have to admit a small part of me will always be annoyed that Homogenic never made it on this book, as I think that album was her most groundbreaking in terms of sound.

7/10 Tina Turner doing what she does best. Her vocal performance is great and I can immediately see why this was such a big hit. However, it does sound quite dated, and it doesn't help that most of the album is a bunch of singles taped together. But it's still a fun record though, and it's the biggest reason why Tina Turner will always be remembered as one of the 80s pop icons.

This is my first time fully listening to a Simon & Garfunkel album, and I'm immediately enjoying the wide range of instruments used. Favorite things about the album: The progressively louder trumpets on 'Keep the Customer Satisfied', The final chorus of 'The Boxer', and what sounds like a baritone sax in 'Why Don't You Write Me'. Also, the songwriting is definitely a highlight.
