1001 Albums Summary

This is obviously great, but I think i prefer mayfield releases where he sings more because i love his voice so much. The instrumentals are lovely but they don't feel like the main draw for me in a mayfield release.

objectively very solid but i have no emotional connection to it and cannot imagine ever choosing to listen to it

i thought wowee zowee was my favorite but upon revisiting this is by far my favorite pavement album it's so good

i love this album. have never been able to decide if i like this or daydream nation better. they're both excellent.

man, i wanted to love but it felt solid but not incredible. a couple great tracks, nice production overall. i had never heard of this one though so it was nice to find something new!

what a pleasant surprise, love a punk album from this era that totally rocks that i have barely ever heard of

thank god this doesn't suffer from 80s production disease because i am a giant sucker for her voice and these kinds of songs. ultimately felt kinda middling but nice.

my least favorite Great Bob Dylan album.

i swear to god i cannot abide david gilmour's guitar playing for more than one song at a time. i desperately want to like pink floyd but they are just not my speed. the wall is the album equivalent of that person who is like "i'm really in to classical music" but it turns out what they're really in to is movie sound tracks lmao. i realize this is an elitist thing to say.

this feels like a time machine i love it. damn do these synths sound incredible and the use of phasing and looping throughout rips. awesome discovery for me!!

i hate to say it but i think bob marley is overrated. i genuinely wanted to like this one and it just felt kinda boring.

some albums on this list are going to be weirdly difficult for me to rate and experience because of how culturally omni present they are. this is an example of one of those album. it's obviously lovely but i just can't get in to it.

i do not care for the kids bop style cover of born to run overall this is fine, title track kinda rocks and relax is a hit, but mostly i was bored

i put this on expecting to give it a three because i've always liked the singles but not the whole album but today this hit HARD. something about corgan's voice takes me back to being a little kid listening to the radio and thinking about how big the world was.
