This is obviously great, but I think i prefer mayfield releases where he sings more because i love his voice so much. The instrumentals are lovely but they don't feel like the main draw for me in a mayfield release.
extreme high school memories
this album is too long but it does have a lot of bangers
god this album is totally fine but 90s brit pop is so annoying to me for some reason. cannot imagine ever listening to this again.
i'm so embarrassed for them by proxy when i listen to this. just the corniest stones/zeppelin/air quotes classic rock rip off shit in the world lol
objectively very solid but i have no emotional connection to it and cannot imagine ever choosing to listen to it
i thought wowee zowee was my favorite but upon revisiting this is by far my favorite pavement album it's so good
this album is a treasure
not as good as meddle end of review
i love this album. have never been able to decide if i like this or daydream nation better. they're both excellent.
man, i wanted to love but it felt solid but not incredible. a couple great tracks, nice production overall. i had never heard of this one though so it was nice to find something new!
so good obviously
what a pleasant surprise, love a punk album from this era that totally rocks that i have barely ever heard of
thank god this doesn't suffer from 80s production disease because i am a giant sucker for her voice and these kinds of songs. ultimately felt kinda middling but nice.
my least favorite Great Bob Dylan album.
this is totally solid but nothing hits like on if you're feeling sinister imo
very good!!! i have underrated the kinks for too long and it ends now
i did not hate this as much as i expected i would
fucking unreal album. i cannot believe i never had taken the time to listen to this what a dummy i am.
solid but i feel like after the singles it kinda drops off
is it rude to say that this album consists of a bunch of pretty good starting points and riffs but it only in a couple of places coheres into greatness
i swear to god i cannot abide david gilmour's guitar playing for more than one song at a time. i desperately want to like pink floyd but they are just not my speed. the wall is the album equivalent of that person who is like "i'm really in to classical music" but it turns out what they're really in to is movie sound tracks lmao. i realize this is an elitist thing to say.
this feels like a time machine i love it. damn do these synths sound incredible and the use of phasing and looping throughout rips. awesome discovery for me!!
it has been WAY too long since i listened to this basically perfect album
i hate to say it but i think bob marley is overrated. i genuinely wanted to like this one and it just felt kinda boring.
some albums on this list are going to be weirdly difficult for me to rate and experience because of how culturally omni present they are. this is an example of one of those album. it's obviously lovely but i just can't get in to it.
i do not care for the kids bop style cover of born to run overall this is fine, title track kinda rocks and relax is a hit, but mostly i was bored
man idk i really tried to have an open mind but this album is boring as shit
lovely but prob my least fave of his
boy idk this is boring and fine
i love john cale most of all but also i think this is my favorite VU i cannot square the circle
i put this on expecting to give it a three because i've always liked the singles but not the whole album but today this hit HARD. something about corgan's voice takes me back to being a little kid listening to the radio and thinking about how big the world was.
#2 sabbath imo
i hate to say it but i think this album is overrated
goofy corny nonsense i love it
thin lizzy is the greatest rock band to ever do it
this was enjoyable but not incredible
i just cannot force myself to find this album interesting
i wanted to be contrarian and like this but it is very bad
this album fucking rules
can't bring myself to do it anymore
