One of the better pop albums we've had. Was really hoping Cornflake Girl would be on this one when I saw it was Tori Amos

Enjoyable classic album

I really like the song Scorpio Rising by them so was hoping it would be more of the same but was just a bit weird and not as good as I'd hoped

It was okay. The album is confusing as it repeats a load of the same songs which made it feel like it was going on for ages and I skipped the duplicates

Urgh jazz. At least they knew how to play their instruments and it wasn't a load of screeching instruments drowning each other out. It was short too which helped

I'd heard a few of the songs on this before but never listened to the whole album. Impressed by this one and will probably listen to it again

I've never understood Radiohead. The only emotion this makes me feel is boredom. They have like 3 interesting songs and the rest are all whining moans with boring backing. There is nothing exciting or interesting about this album

I really struggled to get through this one. I found it incredibly boring. It almost reminded me of being trapped in a school Carol service or something. It felt like it would never end.

Started strong with Hotel California but quickly dropped off and I was getting quite bored by the end.

Liked the first 2 songs then got less into it.

Horrible. Barely more enjoyable than the sound of Stevie grinding metal at work. Really hoped they would turn into a Metallica tribute act when I saw Sad but True. Not enough words and too many weird noises for me.

Not sure exactly why it is, but this just isn't my thing. Was really hoping this would surprise me in a good way after Manu Chao

This is the first album I gave up on. Really not a fan of jazz.

Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. Enjoyed the noises in Child in Time which had to be the highlight.

It is just too long. There were a couple of okay songs in there and if it were condensed down to a normal album size it might have been okay. But there was far too much rubbish

Some really good songs. But too many long weird intro/outro instrumentals for me. Almost made it a 3 because of that

Things behind the sun was alright but the rest of it was fairly monotonous strumming with droning singing over the top

Better than I remembered it being. Still much prefer Oasis to Blur though. I'd say 3.5 stars

Was fine. I've always found the lead singer to have a slightly funny voice but I do like some of their songs.

Always nice when an album I already have downloaded comes up. I'd agree with Aron that some of the beats aren't amazing but still an enjoyable album.

It is obviously very famous and impactful, but I just don't enjoy this sort of music. I find it almost upsetting upbeat and cheery

Probably my favourite album we have had so far. Every song on this is great. Had to listen to Meteora and Minutes to Midnight after. So nostalgic

I did listen to this after Christmas and wasn't feeling very Christmassy. But it just didn't seem that good or interesting.

Better than expected but not my thing

Jazz isn't my thing. There were some cool moments on this but I mostly couldn't get past the jazziness

Surprisingly talented for a punk group. But just not really my taste

Half the album are bangers and an easy 5* but unfortunately there are a few average songs peppered in there. Probably 4/5*

I only recognised Basket Case off this one. Definitely preferred American Idiot

Method Man's voice is sooo good. Was surprised to hear a love song on there in All I Need. Release Yo Delf and PLO Style were also great. Will definitely come back to this one

Classic album. Love every song and it is super nostalgic too. Immediately followed it up with What's the Story Morning Glory and the Masterplan.

Found most of the album on YouTube. It was fine but not worth much effort to seek out. Who's to blame was probably the best song from it. Would recommend that one.

So much shit at the end of the album. Moog Raga instrumental was one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

Every jazz album I'm forced to endure further solidifies my hate for the genre.

Dreaming of You is a great song which I seem to always forget. The rest was comparatively poor but still decent listening.

Not as bad as I feared from Queen. I think the only Queen albums people genuinely love are their compilations. They have released so much music and a lot of it is pretty dull really.

Only heard of them because of the name and it was very much okay

Once in a Lifetime was fine and the rest of it was fairly uninteresting

I didn’t know anything about Billy Joel other than that he is old. This surprised me by being a lot more enjoyable than expected.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. There were a handful of good songs and some average ones too. Also, a load of the songs have been sampled in the Wu-Tang vs the Beatles album which I really like.

An incredible album from start to finish. I even enjoy the interludes which often irritate me. I had to start with this to hype me up before starting my 2 week backlog.

I was surprised by how many big hits were on this. A lot more enjoyable than expected and i might revisit it

The first 3 songs kept getting better and better with Ms Jackson being a great song. Then it became fine until B.O.B. which is amazing. Some great songs but too many interludes and average songs. Bit disappointed by the Killer Mike song too.

Recognised a lot more of these than I expected. I enjoyed it and she has a unique sound. I did listen to this immediately after Lightning Bolt's Wonderful Rainbow so may just seem good in comparison.

It felt like every song had 15 seconds of interesting music that could be used to make good songs. But they would all just loop and had no lyrics to keep your attention. Music without words suck. Anyone who makes music which is described as 'challenging' is just bad at making music. It sounded like you handed a load of rock instruments to a jazz group. Just a load of noises playing over each other

Alex Turner's voice is so distinctive that this just feels like more Arctic Monkeys. There weren't really any stand out tracks. It was all just decent easy listening.

Bland, inoffensive, middle of the road music. The only emotion it made me feel was boredom. Probably 1/2*

I feel like I have heard this exact album a few times now through the 1001 albums. Nothing exciting about it

More funky than jazzy which was a massive relief.

The two Religion songs were some of the worst I have ever listened to. It just felt like an edgy 12 year old explaining why religion is bad. The rest of the album was similarly terrible.

The first Taylor Swift album I've listened to. It was alright. For some reason it sounded to me like she was slightly slipping into a really bad Scottish accent on Closure which I enjoyed. Doubt I'll listen to it again but definitely better than some of the other albums on here.

A trio of pain. Jazz, live albums and it being stupidly long. 2 hours of suffering. At first I hated the host listing names and informing late audience members of what they had missed. Surely you would cut that shit out? Then the screeching never ending noises started and I would have much rather listened to him list the name of every audience member present. Maybe the worst album I have ever listened to. No redeeming qualities.

A great album. A few amazing songs and a handful of decent ones. Karen O has a great voice and I do like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Although I do prefer her colab album with Dangermouse.

I liked Simple Man and Freebird and the rest was okay. Those two were definite standouts though. 3/4*

Decent. Heard of Perfect day and Walk on the wild side which were definitely my favourite and then the rest was pretty easy listening

Very strong start to the album and was considering 4/5* for the first few tracks and then it really fell off. The gospel stuff at the end was awful too. Really dragged the whole thing down

Disappointing so soon after the previous Iron Maiden album on here which was good. Bit too self-indulgent on the guitar solos for me.

I don't enjoy Ice Cube's solowork anywhere near as much as his stuff in NWA. Some pretty questionable lyrics throughout. Some of his rapping and storytelling was great, but I couldn't find myself getting very into any of the songs. They all felt like they were missing a little something. Listening to it after Orbital however has made this feel like a 4* even if that might be a bit too generous

The first and final songs were torturous. It felt like something they would subject prisoners to in Guantanamo Bay. All the 'songs' inbetween were a collection of irritating and repetitive noises. How could anyone enjoy this?

My parents had this and You Could Have It So Much Better on cd. So, there is a nostalgia factor, but I still think it holds up and every song is great. 4/5*
