Van Halen
3/5
Familiar sounds. Mostly good.
The Rolling Stones
4/5
Enjoyed this one.
Amy Winehouse
3/5
Amy's vocal talent was beyond question. As for the album, I enjoy a few of the selections, but overall I find the style somewhat affected after a while. For me this album will not be one I listen to in its entirety often.
Jorge Ben Jor
3/5
I mostly enjoyed this. Before listening again I would want to learn more about it so I could better appreciate it. I would find a translation of the Portuguese lyrics
Sepultura
3/5
I don't know how to appreciate this variety of metal.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
2/5
I didn't really enjoy this one. Perhaps I don't understand it enough to appreciate it, or perhaps it's just not my style.

I didn't really enjoy this one.
Cornershop

Ray Charles
3/5
I enjoyed this, but not as much as I thought I would. I think Ray is at his best on live recordings and possibly in some later material. And the jazzy side of this is harder for me to connect with.

3/5
This was interesting. I'd never heard it before, and I don't think I'd heard of the group. Some of it was catchy.
Dirty Projectors
2/5
I did not enjoy this. There's some real vocal talent on display, but the whole is weaker than the sum of its parts. Sometimes the album seems self-important.

Difficult. A highly-praised and immensely popular album. It's well-done; some parts sound amazing. I don't foresee coming back to it very often, though.
