I do like the occasional Nina Simone song, but I find her voice starts to grate on me after a while. Lilac Wine is classic.

I'm giving one star for the title and album cover. I have tried countless times over the last 35 years to like this album. I never get past the first 3 tracks. I have absolutely no idea what the fuss is about. Terrible album!

I've only every really listened to 'This Corrosion", which I love. This album is extremely good although it has a very 80's feel to it.

This, unbelievably was the first time I've ever listened to the whole album in one sitting. A revelation indeed. Brilliant album.

I was listening to a lot of electronica and punk/new wave when this was released. It took me until about 15 years later to actually listen to the full album. What a magnificent album it is. Just wonderful.

The turmoil and troubles in the making of this album are well documented. How they did it is a mystery but they did. A genuine classic album.

What a voice Karen Carpenter had. Just glorious. The trouble is that a lot of these songs just sound weak.

I can absolutely appreciate the musicianship, I just don't like the music the musicians make.

This album is all over the place and is better for it. I even listened to Revolution #9 in its entirety. Great stuff.

Mr Lydon is quite a divisive figure. I have always liked him, not necessarily his views. I do love his music. This is the first real post punk album and as such it is jarring in places. The playing of the band is excellent. Love it.

I know a couple of tracks off this album already. This is vaudeville at its most mediocre. Im not even sure Boemian Rhapsody saves this album. They did improve on later albums thankfully.

I will forever love this album. As a concept it is magnificent and as a double album it is flawless.

I have never understood the appeal of Slade. Noddy has a very distinctive voice. But that is about it really.

I've never really known what to do with Joni Mitchell. While I love 'Blue' it is everything before and after I have difficulty with. This is a good album. I dont know if I will ever listen to it again.

I have 1 Giant Sand record in my collection - Ballad of a Thin Line Man. I haven't played it for years. I should have played it more often. This is eclectic and excellent. It has awakened a desire for more Howe Gelb in my life.

I discovered REM with Green, and saw them on that tour. I went back and bought their previous albums. Document is a really good album. I still prefer Lifes Rich Pagent though.
