Siouxsie And The BansheesSo interesting to hear this, and recognise so much of other bands they influenced.

Fairly middle of the road, and found all of the songs merging together. I can usually handle quite a bit of noodling around but had to skip a few.
Hadn’t listened to this from start to finish for many years, and it was such a treat to spend time with it again. No songs skipped, even after multiple listens in one day I was hearing new things.
Really struggle to like Elvis, I know he’s a product of his time but I found the lyrics quite repetitive and they didn’t entertain or grab me emotionally. Excellent performances from everyone, and lush production, but didn’t move me.
Another one from my teenage years, but didn’t find that this one held up as well. A few stand out tracks, but found myself struggling to connect.
This was such a pleasant surprise, I’d not heard anything other than There She Goes before, but such a rich album that I can’t wait to go back to.
This was such a lovely chance to revisit an album I listened to when I was a teenager, and also to see that it still held up after all these years. Didn’t get the urge to skip, and they all sounded as fresh and exciting as I remember.
Was a fun nostalgic listen, but didn’t grab me or make me want to revisit regularly. 3.5 if half stars were available!
Don’t think Bob’s for me - there are a few songs that are so profound and capture an important sentiment, but the rest blur and I found it hard to connect.
3.5 First time listening to this album? Bit Za fan of Calexico’s other work. Not my favourite of theirs, but still a great listen.
Peak Metallica, no skips, such fun.
Hadn’t listened to this before, but was such a bop. Have saved for future listens!
Nothing really stood out to me aside from Tiny Dancer and a lot of it blurred into one.
A fun new album to listen to when I need to do some groovy tasks.
Courtney Love, patron saint of weird girls ❤️double bill of this and The Substance today was a wild ride.
Loved this one, hadn’t listened to a full Simon & Garfunkel album before - what a treat! Highlight: one of my fave Christmas songs and “I’ve lost my harmonica, Albert”
Some good moments, but not sure I’d go back to it regularly.
Lovely mellow album, wonderful performances all round, and helped prevent me losing my shit while trying to get Power Bi to work.
One or two songs I’d listen to again, but typically “meh” from The XX.
Banger
Didn’t know Belinda Carlisle was a punk
One of my all time favourites ❤️
Not for me - managed a listen but not one I’d come back to.
Before unconscious uncoupling we got ground up in the garbage disposal of our dreams
Another casualty of my teenage self’s totally unfounded beefs 😂 such a fun listen, will definitely revisit!
Would give a 3.5 if I could. Not a bad album, but doesn’t quite have the heft of previous LCD Soundsystem.
I think The Doors are simply not for me.
Fun listen, but not sure it’s something I’d return to regularly.
I’d give it a 4.5 if I could. Had never listened to Janis Joplin before, what an amazing voice and talent. Can’t wait to listen to more!
Not for me.
Hasn’t listened to a full Eminem album before and while it’s technically very good there are only so many rape jokes I can handle.
This listening challenge has turned me into an unironic lover of bossa nova. Didn’t enjoy quite as much as Getz/Gilberto, but still a nice listen.
Upgraded this one after a few more listens, it’s giving Shostakovich but prog rock.
I’d totally forgotten this album existed, so was a delight to revisit!
So interesting to hear this, and recognise so much of other bands they influenced.
Slightly mad, but liked it more with each listen. I have lots of respect for anyone brave enough to rhyme festival with best of all
It sounds like the second song that features on a 90s Disney film credits.
Loved this - different side to The Beach Boys, but reflects the changes music and culture went through in the 60s into the early 70s.
Such a nostalgic listen.
The Swans, the Soft Cell, the Sonics, the Sonics, the Sonics, the Sonics. Loved this - so raucous, can see their influence on everything that came after.
I honestly expected to like this more, but ended up with the urge to listen to Tori Amos instead
Sounded very smooth and lovely but just couldn’t get into it. Ended up relistening to the Archandroid instead. Sorry D’Angelo!
Not for me, didn’t even make it half way through
I’m simply not jazzy or spontaneous enough for this one
Good fun, like a sillier version of the pixies.
Struggled with this one
Need some extra listens but loved the first few
