Very nice and chill. This is a great listen on an early morning.

3/5
I have a total soft spot for Prog Rock. I will take this over much of the other music I have discovered here.

Pulp
4/5
Never heard pulp before, I was expecting more of an Oasis/Blur sort of thing. This is more Bowie / Muse like. Video for title track was very cool.
Darker or more brooding that I expected. I enjoyed though I am not sure how much I can come back to this.
Queen
4/5
Loved it! Best played loud!
Pixies
5/5
I have been a huge fan of the Pixies since the nineties. I love this album by them!!
Run-D.M.C.
3/5
Reminds me of my friend, coincidentally named Darryl. Certain songs I can't listen to without a smile on my face. Not a huge fan of old school hip-hop, but it does take me back.
R.E.M.
4/5
This is another one from my past beautiful album. Still can't understand what Michael is saying in most songs, but I get it.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
My first experience with Leonard Cohen. More of a poet and lyricist and less of a singer, like Lou Reed. I can see the appeal, but not something I would go back to a lot.
Elvis Presley
4/5
The King! First time with the album that started his legacy, and this is great listening. Totally reminds me of my father.
Gene Clark
4/5
I was a bit nervous about this, considering I had never heard of it, and it did not sell at all in the US. However, it was surprisingly pleasant to listen to as an album, and I could see coming back to this. I think it did poorly because there is not really a hit song that is marketable on the radio.
Flamin' Groovies
3/5
Not sure where to start. This is my first listen to the Flamin' Groovies.... the music was spot on, loved the blues take on rock music. The vocals were almost comical though. Did not have the feel of something more polished. Overall a good listen and a good experience.
Fela Kuti
4/5
Wow, just wow. Fela Kudi is just fire! In the right mindset, this is an awesome listen!
Black Flag
3/5
LOL, reminds me of high school! A little too rough to come back to without a fist fight or house party.
John Grant
2/5
Hmmm, did not like this. Folksie, trying to be quirky. Fell short for me, some songs were offensive.
Abdullah Ibrahim
4/5
Enjoyed it! Simply lovely, although impossible to download and very difficult to find on Spotify.
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
Hmmm, never really got into Bruce. There is a song or two that I like, but never really got the appeal. This album suffers from a lot of airplay back in the day, and a really dated 80's feel.
Pantera
3/5
Wow, hardest thing I have listen to. One song I knew previously, but might be too hard for me overall.
Cream
4/5
Very cool, great to listen to.
De La Soul
4/5
Very fun, takes me back. I did not listen to this type of music back in 1989, but it is fun today.
Kanye West
3/5
First rap album, other than hip hop. TBH I was expecting more, a lot of hype around this. Though I am probably not the target audience.
Rod Stewart
3/5
So so. Rod is really not my thing, but I am was OK to listen.
The Beach Boys
2/5
Well, some songs had the traditional Beach Boys harmonies, but the songs themselves were pretty terrible. It is amazing how far they can go from Pet Sounds.
The Who
4/5
The Who is amazing live. Some great performances in here.
Radiohead
5/5
Radiohead is one of my favorite bands. Glad to see they are well respresented in the list.
Randy Newman
1/5
This was awful. I could not get into this, even though Randy Newman is a fantastic songwriter.
Arcade Fire
5/5
This is S-Tier for me. I love Arcade Fire, and Suburbs is as good as it gets. 5-stars!!
Amy Winehouse
4/5
Fun album. Amy is great at the right times.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3/5
The Clash
4/5
Loved it. Great to expand my musical views.
David Bowie
4/5
Wonderful! Bowie at his finest, with Changes and my favorite, Life on Mars!
The Temptations
4/5
Simply lovely! This was a fun surprise and I loved the groove.
Nick Drake
4/5
Very chill. I have heard Nick's voice before and did not know the name. Not bad to chill out to.
The Associates
2/5
Huh, very 80s. Seems like a mix of a lot of 80s synth bands all in one.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
5/5
I bought the vinyl for this record, and this turned me on to a whole new genre. Wonderful!
Beck
5/5
Absolutely incredible. Love this album, long time fan.
The Flaming Lips
5/5
The was my intro to one of my favorite bands ever. I listened to this album about a hundred times, and it does not get old. Love it!!!
Curtis Mayfield
2/5
For the right person at the right time, this would be great. But this is just not my thing.
The Velvet Underground
4/5
Frank Black
4/5
Love this album, great vibes listening to it. Shows the range of "Frank" different from his Pixies career.
Portishead
4/5
I am familiar with Portishead, and listened to Third before, along with other trip-hop. I like it for the right mood, and this album was a model for the genre.
Miles Davis
4/5
Very nice and chill. This is a great listen on an early morning.
Pink Floyd
5/5
What can you say? I have listened to this a hundred times, and I hear something new every time. Wonderful.
Black Sabbath
4/5
This album escaped me from Black Sabbath's catalog. I enjoyed it.
Count Basie & His Orchestra
3/5
Big band and swing. The best of the early 50s.
5/5
U2's best album. Played this CD a lot. Love it.
Iggy Pop
2/5
Not really for me. Overly "British", don't really understand the hype.
Madonna
2/5
Not really my thing. I know the songs from the radio, but way too polished for me.
Paul Simon
3/5
Good record, seems very dated by today's standards. Typical electronic sounds from the 80s. Overall I enjoy it.
Nick Drake
3/5
Simply lovely. My second Nick Drake album to rate and I like this one better. This would be a cool hang on vinyl.
James Taylor
3/5
Pretty chill. Not a huge fan of Jame's voice, but good album for the right time.
Nine Inch Nails
5/5
Absolutely incredible. I listened to this a hundred times and it is awesome every time. S-Tier!
Muddy Waters
3/5
Fun listen. Very talented guy, and great blues!
Mike Oldfield
2/5
A bit too prog for me. It seems like good music, but random music-ettes constantly changing.
The Zutons
4/5
I have not heard of this album, or the band, but it is very familiar. The songs all sound like music I have enjoyed by other artists, and that is not a band thing. Somewhat garage rock, somewhat "dad rock". Not a bad thing!
Violent Femmes
4/5
I knew quite a few songs, and it still holds up besides being from early eighties.
The Doors
2/5
I have more respect for Jim Morrison and The Doors than I did coming into this record. Overall the album is good, especially the songs not overplayed on Classic Rock radio. I am still not a fan though.
MGMT
4/5
This is a fun listen. There are some unique tunes that remind me of Beck. I would love to hear their later releases to see if they have kept up their game. Overall this is a solid album.
Sam Cooke
2/5
Great to discover new music, but this one is not for me.
The Residents
2/5
Wow, this is rough. In one way I can see how it inspired some of my favorite artists. On the other hand it is really hard to listen to.
Ananda Shankar
2/5
Not really my thing. Mildly entertaining as background music.
Tina Turner
1/5
I know this was huge back in 1984, but I could not stand any of this. Not only did it sound dated, but not my style of music,
Simon & Garfunkel
5/5
Absolutely beautiful. It was a joy to listen to this record. I could come back to this.
Coldplay
4/5
Very nice 90's Indie. I enjoy later Coldplay records since they have more of a connection to me. But this is pleasant to listen to without sounding dated.
Burning Spear
2/5
Reggae is not really my thing. May have been a good reggae album for those who like it.
Fun Lovin' Criminals
3/5
Seemed like a mid 90's Beastie Boys wanna be. It is not awful, there is just better.
The xx
4/5
Wow, so this was a surprising gem. Very chill, and great quality. I would come back to this.
Muddy Waters
3/5
Damn, this would be fun in a pool hall with a few beers. Plus, Mannish Boy!!
Kings of Leon
2/5
I have never really been a KoL fan. Maybe it is the voice? Maybe their music sounds generic. My friends like them though.
The Byrds
3/5
It did not gel with me the way I wanted, but some parts were brilliant.
Funkadelic
3/5
This is a pretty fun listen. I love the positivity and not giving up on the "funk"!
Arcade Fire
5/5
I know this record very well, and it is one I go back to. Absolutely perfect in my eyes, S-tier all the way.
Ray Charles
3/5
I was a bit nervous when I saw country and western music, but nothing like that all. I had a lot of horns, more like jazz or swing.
Gorillaz
3/5
Fun to listen to, once in a while
Led Zeppelin
5/5
What can you say about this record? It has to be on most people's top 10 ever.
The Vines
3/5
It is OK Brit Pop. I had Get Free as a workout song for years, the rest of the album is just OK.
Lambchop
3/5
I have never heard of this band, but it was quite pleasant. I enjoyed it!
The Zombies
3/5
It was pretty good. Seems perfect for a certain vibe.
Steely Dan
5/5
Love this album, listened to it a 100 times, and I will a hundred more.
The Teardrop Explodes
3/5
Its New Wave.... with horns!! Seems pretty high quality for New Wave, not sure why I have not heard of them before. Sounds like a lot of the music made during 1980, a certain sounds I can't get past.
Otis Redding
3/5
Well, not bad. More like Otis Redding does covers. I have not done any research on this record so I am not sure if it should have made the list. I lot of the covers were versions by legends, which I would have preferred their versions.
Yes
4/5
I knew a lot of these songs from the radio, and from some live performances. I enjoyed this a lot and I can see why Yes is a Prog GOAT.
Scott Walker
2/5
Wow. I am not sure I expected this, sort of like a lounge singer with a sense of humor. Glad I got the experience, but probably will not be revisiting.
4/5
I actually liked this more than I thought I would. It had a mid-90s rock vibe that was on every track, which was not a bad thing.
Common
2/5
Not really into his music. I would not know good rap from bad.
Neil Young
4/5
I am a huge Neil Young fan, though I don't know this record very well. Excellent as expected, and one that I feel needs multiple listens to grasp.
The Incredible String Band
2/5
This was tough to get through. Music was maybe a 3, but the voice and vocals are a zero. I am rating this a 2, and that is generous.
Carole King
4/5
Love this album. Fond memories of AM Gold.
Stan Getz
3/5
I went into this expecting to hate it, but it was good. Super chill.
Tito Puente
3/5
Wow, this is tight!! I am sure many a baby has been conceived to this music. This would be amazing to see in a club.
Elis Regina
1/5
This album was a complete miss for me... Not a real album but some compilation, not in English so I could not understand it, not the type of music I like. I am sure she was a wonderful musician, but not my thing.
Rush
5/5
Wonderful album by my favorite band. It might not the my favorite album, but definitely the one that put them on the map.
Adam & The Ants
4/5
I have not listened to much Adam Ant, but I was intrigued. I was worried it would sound like a lot of other 80's post punk crap, with the same sound and vibe. But it stood out as being high quality, and I really enjoyed it.
The Rolling Stones
5/5
Love this album, one of my favorite from the stones
Ray Charles
3/5
This was cool to discover and listen to. He really was talented, and this record showcases his genius.
Beatles
5/5
Love this album, one of my favorites from the Beatles, especially toward the end of their run.
The Pogues
3/5
This is really fun to listen to, and what a great discovery! Now I know where Fairytale of New York song comes from that I hear every Christmas!
Alice Cooper
3/5
This is just so-so for me. The music is a 2, but +1 because Alice Cooper is a treasure.
The Killers
4/5
A pleasant ride. I was not the biggest fan of this when it came out, but listening to it was a pleasurable experience.
Culture Club
1/5
I hate this album so much, I cannot believe I listened to the whole thing. I hated Culture Club in 1983, and I hate them even more now.
Jazmine Sullivan
1/5
What the actual hell am I listening too? This is soooooo not for me.
Fleet Foxes
5/5
More like a 4.5 but rounding up to a 5. Absolutely love this album, and the sound. I listened to it a hundred times, and it made me a fan of their other albums too.
The Police
4/5
Wonderful record by the golden age of The Police. Message in a Bottle is incredible, and the whole record is solid.
4/5
Not the biggest Bowie fan but this one is solid
Various Artists
4/5
Perfect record for Christmas! Love the wall of sound!
Elliott Smith
3/5
I could see me getting into this. Very laid back, which is what I am into now. He was peak 90's, and I know we lost him too soon.
Blondie
3/5
Not bad, a few good songs. Not sure if it is worthy of this list, but I enjoyed it.
The Flaming Lips
5/5
I am a big Flaming Lips fan, and this is one of my all time faves. Great music.
Oasis
4/5
A banger of a Brit pop album. I know the hits very well from a playlist. Listening to the whole thing through was interesting.
Adele
2/5
Not really my bag. She is extremely talented but just really not my thing.
Black Sabbath
4/5
Amazing record, my first intro into Black Sabbath. For anyone who claims they are a hard rock / heavy metal fan, this is required listening.
Beastie Boys
4/5
The Beastie Boys are so much fun. I am more familiar with Paul's Boutique and Check Your Head, so this was a real treat. Definitely one I will be coming back to!
Janelle Monáe
3/5
This was surprisingly good. I enjoyed this record and everything that it had to offer. Great music, production, writing, vibe, etc.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
This record slaps. Amazing musicians and amazing songs.
Wu-Tang Clan
4/5
This record always makes me grin. It is so badass and perfect for those times when you want to Bring The Ruckus.
Dusty Springfield
3/5
This was a fun listen!
Tim Buckley
3/5
Hmmm, not sure how to put my thoughts into words. It is OK.... there are pieces that I enjoy and some that I really don't. Sounds dated.
Leonard Cohen
2/5
Not really music but more poetry. Some of it was hard to listen to but there were some pearls in there if you were in the right moment.
Queens Of The Stone Age
4/5
Huge fan of QotSA. Not their best record but solid none the less.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
3/5
Great discovery. I was getting strong Led Zep vibes from a couple songs.
N.W.A.
3/5
Pretty solid as fun as gangsta rap goes. The first 3 tracks are solid, lots of energy and a fun listen.
Fiona Apple
3/5
Very talented, solid first album.
The Police
4/5
This record really stood the test of time. Absolute genius. They went commercial, and they avoided the synth 80s sound.
Gang Of Four
3/5
Well this was interesting. Sounds like an early Arctic Monkeys. Not bad!
David Bowie
3/5
I feel like I need to learn more Bowie, and this is a perfect example. Seems like a great record.
Venom
3/5
Wow, just wow. Early thrash/speed/death metal. I have not heard this before, I was more of a Judas Priest guy. I am not sure I would just put this on to listen to, but it is cool to hear the genesis of a whole genre.
Deep Purple
4/5
Holy cow, this was absolutely blistering. I never understood DP in the past, knowing them only by their radio songs. This album is amazing.
Robert Wyatt
3/5
Another great example of why I joined this list. This album was very familiar. I little bit David Gilmore, a little bit XTC. Very cool to discover.
Joni Mitchell
3/5
Love me some Joni Mitchell. Very nice to listen to on a Sunday morning.
The Stooges
2/5
More of a fan of the attitude, and not so much the music. Rock-a-billy music does not sit with me.
Talking Heads
4/5
Not their best, but their first!!
The Everly Brothers
3/5
This is super dreamy. Reminds me of the music my dad listened to. It really takes me back!
Weather Report
3/5
Cool Jazz. Nice to listen to on a Saturday morning!
Michael Jackson
3/5
I have heard. half of these songs on the radio. I don't hate it, but I don't like it. Background music?
New Order
3/5
Not really my thing. The 2 songs they played on the radio I did not even know the names of. OK I guess.
The Prodigy
3/5
This sounds like something I would have really enjoyed when it came out. Lots of good stuff on this record.
Dire Straits
3/5
Not bad. The songs I knew from the radio have been so overplayed I can't enjoy them anymore. But the rest of the record was good.
Machito
3/5
More Cuban Jazz. I swear I am getting a lot of that style to rate. This is great stuff though, furious bongos!
Emmylou Harris
3/5
Lovely to listen to. Original country music. The Beatles cover was a surprise.
The Sabres Of Paradise
2/5
Hmmm, instrumental techno. Not sure I would listen to this just on its own. Portishead and Massive Attack set the tone, this seems like it is playing catch-up.
Talking Heads
4/5
Amazing record. Only 2 songs I recognize the from radio, but this is amazing to listen to.
k.d. lang
3/5
Twangy country. I can take it in the right context, this was not too bad. Better than I thought it would be, actually.
Milton Nascimento
3/5
Surprisingly interesting. Does not really have a genre, though lyrics are Spanish.
Metallica
4/5
Saw Metallica open for Ozzy in this tour and they outstaged him. Absolutely love this record, groundbreaking for the genre.
Calexico
3/5
Wow, this was surprisingly cool. Never heard of these guys but I can see how their sound would blend into the crowd.
Jimmy Smith
3/5
Wow, this was an incredibly cool new find. I really enjoyed listening to this.
Belle & Sebastian
2/5
Could not get into this. Not bad, just not my thing
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
5/5
One of the best ever. So much talent they could not be in the same room with each other. Top tier music.
Van Morrison
3/5
It is OK, probably his best album. I have heard. it before and enjoyed it, but this listen I just could not get into it. Seemed kind of bland.
The Saints
3/5
Hmmm, it is OK. Sort of punk, sort of Iggy Pop-ish.
Neil Young
4/5
This was my first exposure to Neil Young and I have been a fan ever since. I am not sure he has any 5 albums, but he has consistent 4's and a few 3's. His influence on music cannot be overstated.
The White Stripes
5/5
I love The White Stripes! Enough said.
Ride
3/5
Pretty chill. I like the vibe, sort of a cool thing to listen to.
Morrissey
3/5
Kinda meh. Morrissey and this genre of music is just not my thing.
Cat Stevens
3/5
Not bad. A couple songs I recognize. I couple of other songs I know that were clearly influenced by this album.
Iggy Pop
3/5
Good stuff. I liked this a lot better than The Idiot.
Hugh Masekela
4/5
Wow, beautiful tone. This was a fun listen.
David Bowie
3/5
This is pretty good. Mostly a rock album. I would say 3.5 stars.
Ms. Dynamite
1/5
Yeah, this does nothing for me. Pretty shallow gibberish. Not sure it was groundbreaking when it came out, certainly not in 2026.
Depeche Mode
3/5
Pretty good, though I like other albums of theirs better. You can see a lot of inspiration for bands like Nine Inch Nails in their music.
Stereo MC's
3/5
Better than I thought it would be. I knew the one hit song from the radio. Not really my thing, but not horrible either.
Stan Getz
3/5
Pretty chill. I was pretty upbeat and this was not doing it for me, more like high-quality elevator music. But in the right setting it sounds be nice.
Slipknot
2/5
Holy cow. These people hate their parents. Amazing drumming, and how the singer can scream like that is amazing. I prefer a bit more musicality to my music, and most Nu Metal kinda sucks. This has its moments though.
The Jesus And Mary Chain
3/5
It is OK. I am familiar with their stuff, they sound similar to other music I like and cool, but don't really stand out too much. Good song writing.
The Allman Brothers Band
5/5
Absolutely amazing. I heard of this album before but never heard it played through. Incredible.
Al Green
3/5
This was pretty fun. Reminds me of a tarentino movie.
Leonard Cohen
4/5
Wow. I was not a fan of LC's earlier work, reading poetry over music, but this took me by surprise. Haunting, depressing, a voice like gravel - but it drew me in.
Morrissey
3/5
Not bad, better than the previous Morrissey record I reviewed.
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
Not bad, but not as iconic as "Are You Experienced". Still... Hendricks.
Primal Scream
3/5
Hmmm, I want to like it more, I really do. I imagine this being cool in 1991, but now it seems to just blend in.
3/5
It is OK. Did not strike me as amazing, but not bad either. just meh.
Billy Joel
3/5
Pretty fun listen, not bad at all. I am not the biggest fan of hits, but a lot of memorable tracks.
Elton John
4/5
Love this record, reminds me of my youth. Classic Elton.
George Michael
1/5
Boy does this take me back to the 80s. I hated this music back then, and I hate it double now. I don't have a lot of 1 star reviews but my god I hate this crap. I think I need some Iron Maiden to cleanse my ears.
Genesis
3/5
I have a total soft spot for Prog Rock. I will take this over much of the other music I have discovered here.
Big Brother & The Holding Company
3/5
A lot of classic Janis Joplin on here. I had no idea she was in a band rather than a solo artist.
Astrud Gilberto
3/5
Pretty chill. She does have a voice like honey.
The Mamas & The Papas
4/5
Silky smooth harmonies and catchy tunes. I have this record and it does not disappoint. And the cover makes me smile too.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
Not really a Stones fan, I am more of a Beatles fan. And I can see why this would need multiple listens for it to sink in.
The Beach Boys
3/5
You can tell, this is the warm-up to Pet Sounds, their best album by far. They abandoned songs about cars and surfing and started to get serious.
Air
3/5
This was really fun and cool to chill out to. I would give it 3.5 if I could!
Gil Scott-Heron
3/5
This is more of a poetry reading done to music, favoring more of the message in the poem to the music of the song. While this is usually a turn off for me personally, I feel like this strikes a political message which we need more of today. I probably won't be revisiting this anytime soon, we need more outcry and dissent over what is happening in the world today.
Willie Nelson
3/5
This is very fun to listen to. It reminds me of my dad.
Tom Tom Club
2/5
Yuk. I hated this crap when it came, and I hate it more. Extra star for some creativity, but that is generous.
Neneh Cherry
1/5
Well, I got through the whole thing, but the less I listen to this, the better.
The Kinks
3/5
Very hippie, British, early mid 60s. Reminds me of Spinal Tap the early years, but that is my only frame of reference.
Elvis Costello
3/5
Its OK. I am not the biggest EC fan. The hits are OK.
Dennis Wilson
3/5
Its OK, kind of boring.
Sebadoh
2/5
I kept waiting for something to click, but it never did. I hear a lot of influence from other bands. Its almost like background Nirvana.
Curtis Mayfield
4/5
This was a joy to listen to. I was not expecting this much substance. Extra bonus... Now I know where the Beastie Boys got that sample!
Run-D.M.C.
2/5
Sounds very dated when listened to today. Not denying the credit they deserve, most music from the 80's suffers from the same curse - sounds like 80s.
Talking Heads
4/5
I don't have a ton of attachment to this album as I do with some others. Technically amazing but some songs are hard to listen to for me. Overall a pretty brilliant second release.
Rage Against The Machine
5/5
This record is so iconic I know where I was when I first heard it. Killing in the Name came on the radio and my jaw hit the floor. I was absolutely gobsmacked. This country could use RATM and more bands like them.
Michael Kiwanuka
4/5
This is a pleasant surprise. Great stuff. Seems to hit all the right things for me.
Minor Threat
3/5
Hardcore can be fun too! I listen to the whole discography album - 26 tracks in the space of 10. In My Eyes FTW!
Sugar
4/5
This was a staple of mine, on heavy rotation for a while. Love Husker Du, love Bob Mould, and love Sugar.
Kate Bush
4/5
This was a much more fun listen than I thought it would be.
The KLF
2/5
This is pretty awful for me. Just don't get it.
The White Stripes
5/5
The White Stripes are one of my favorite bands and this is peak Stripes. I must have listened to this record a hundred times, and I will a hundred more.
3/5
Not sure how to describe this one. Much more mature than I thought going in, has a 70s / Latin vibe.
The Cure
3/5
Not really a huge Cure fan, especially back in 1980 - I was more of a Judas Priest / Ozzy / AC/DC kind of listener. But I can see its appeal.
It is a bit more minimalist and instrumental than I thought it would be.
Ash
3/5
I am unfamiliar with this band, but overall pretty solid release.
Faith No More
3/5
Epic is not bad (though completely overplayed), but this record is tough to swallow in a lot of places. Some areas seem solid, others are cringy.
Arctic Monkeys
4/5
Huge fan of this record. Fake Tales of San Francisco is on my workout playlist, but the whole thing is solid fun.
Beatles
5/5
OK, this record is absolutely god-tier. Not much comes close. Every song is amazing.
Beatles
5/5
Another excellent record from the Beatles, probably their finest. I can't say anything that has not been said already for this masterpiece.
Thelonious Monk
3/5
Not really my taste, but amazing musicians.
JAY Z
3/5
It is OK. I can see back when this came out it may have meant more, now it does not stand apart from anything else.
System Of A Down
3/5
I give this a 3.5. This is just a touch of how awesome SOAD is, Toxicity is their masterpiece.
Kraftwerk
3/5
This is the way I like my 70's German techno. Not a bad listen. Musically, a lot of it still holds up.
Steely Dan
4/5
Amazing band, amazing record.
Erykah Badu
3/5
It is OK, not really my thing.
The Replacements
3/5
Pretty fun listen. I was not big into them at the time, but some friends were. I might some back to this at some point.
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
Kinda OK, kinda meh. Bruce was not really my thing but I get the appeal.
Sly & The Family Stone
3/5
Not bad, a pretty fun listen.
Christine and the Queens
2/5
This is soulless, 80's wanna-be synth-pop drivel. I have no clue how it made this list.
Incubus
3/5
I like this better than I thought I would. I only know this band from their radio songs, and Drive is one that I feel is overrated. But as an album, this exceeded my expectations.
Bob Dylan
4/5
This is prime turntable music, where it makes you sit down and listen. Spotify music - no. Blast in the car with the windows down - no. But grab a scotch and drop the needle!
Barry Adamson
3/5
Weird, just weird. But I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Like a movie soundtrack for a movie that does not exist.
Van Halen
3/5
I was pretty cool when it came out. It took a while to get used to VH on synth (still not convinced). But I don't think it has held up well in 2026.
Depeche Mode
3/5
I am more of a fan of "Songs of failth.....", but this is good.
King Crimson
2/5
This was tough to listen to. Normally I am a fan of Prog Rock, but I caould not wrap my head around most of this. It sounded like just random crap.
Beck
4/5
This record takes me back to a happy time.
Thin Lizzy
3/5
It is OK. Not the biggest TL fan out there, but I just know their 2 or 3 radio hits. This live album was good, and it proves they can put on a show.
