Wow - punk well before punk was a thing

There are some some really powerful tracks here that show a diversity of influences and there are some self-indulgent tracks on the deluxe version.

Really great concept album with rich vocals

Awesome deep sounds that are kinda grunge but more clear. I see this a a potential soundtrack for a neo-western movie.

Even though the album runs 39 minutes there is lots of music here. The Pixies are able to convey a real sonic landscape in a compressed manner.

Kinda of OK for that genre of electro dance pop but not my personal fav.

Good album and other collected works - I am not that familiar with Afro-beats and this is a nice addition to my rotation.

Great album where the original is improved by a remaster where vocals are more balanced the rest of the music.

Near perfect production value on this album - I use this album (LP) to test out new speakers and amps.

Might be the pinnacle of this genre and the bridge to funk.

The arrangements are well constructed throughout and Nina Simone's vocals are incredible. One of my top favorite albums.

This is my first time hearing this group and really like them.

Very focused album that while the production level is high and musicianship is strong the overall range of songs seems scattered.

I could listen to this several times in a month and it would still be fresh and relevant.

Forgot how much I liked this album. Yes, it fits into the grunge era but is more varied and intelligent than some other music of that time.

One of the best Americana (NOT C&W) of the 20th century.

Really iconic - cannot believe this was made in 1957.

You have to listen to this at the correct volume - too low and the vocals are muddied and too loud the guitars overwhelm everything.

Interesting but not very engaging

Solid album

Unique sound that is heavy on the bass and mixes R&B sounds with progressive jazz.

When I first saw the name and the cover it was familiar but could not recall any music from this album. Once I got two songs in I was hooked and toward the end I remembered the song Hero. Honestly did not want the album to end.

Forgot how great this album is.

Revisiting this album after listening it "back in the day" I find it really interesting.

There are some really good songs on this album. Maybe it's my ears or a combination of the accent and speed but the lyrics can be difficult to make out from the lead singer.

Not knowing much about this album I listened to it on Apple Music and first impression from a piece that is over 60 years old is the quality of the recording is very good and the group itself is great.

Great album that you can listen to a little on the louder volume side to bring out the depth of the music.

This is a Bowie album that stands out for the sum of the entire album rather than a few memorable songs.

Vocals are mid but the music is really good.

Never heard of this one before today and not knowing what to expect played it on my headphones. Love the hypno - psychedelic music where the vocals acts a bridge to pull each song together. I am going to keep this in my playlist for relaxing bike rides and chill out times.

Did not hear anything new or different from Black Crows to other groups of that time period.

Only critique is it sounds a little over produced but otherwise this shows that Cash truly transcends genres and decades of music.

I like the smoldering anger underneath the entire album and the guitar work.

There are a few good songs but the overall album just does not stand up to the potential of the band members.

Consider this album within the political climate f the 1990's.

The "To Zeros " is an apt description not sure about the Heroes part. Pretty mid overall.
