Simpler than his later work

Wild Horses is my favorite Rolling Stones song. But there's too much filler for my taste.

Didn’t even know about this collective. Loved the production, the samples and the genuine love for life that comes out of these tracks!

Dense, difficult but also glorious. This is Sonic Youth’s ultimate statement.

Hated it when growing up (was on the Nirvana camp). But it’s a good rock record with an excellent singer

Only knew (and loved) the title track. But the whole record is pure dynamite!

I was respecting Stooges from afar but never actually listened to any of their records. This was a pleasant surprise: raw, unhinged and powerful.

Generic Indy

Their most commercial work so far turned out to also be their best. Production is warmer and the record has some of their strongest songs ‘Personal Jesus’, ‘Enjoy the silence’, ‘Policy of truth’

The androgynous vocals give this record an edge. There is also ambition in the compositions but the music is very much of this era.

Historical significance but thin as a record.

Good debut but their really strong stuff is later

Caught in a transition phase between the rawness of their first albums and the smooth production of the black album. Better choices by the same band to include in this list.

Pure Dadaism

Side projects are rarely essential. Hollow production and orchestra is like an add on rather than organic.
