Iconic and maybe most accessible, but by no means my favorite VU.
A banger of a live album.
A fantastic album, though I'm more of a BLUE fan.
This album has moments, particularly The Killing Moon, but it's mostly not my thing.
It's fine. I don't think I'd put in on intentionally, but I wouldn't be upset to hear it. Brothers in Arms must be elsewhere in this 1001.
2 Tone ska is not the ska kids hear when there's extra mozzarella sticks.
This kind of blues is just not my thing.
I absolutely recognize these songs are good, but growing up Italian-American you hear A Lot Of Frank Sinatra. It's hard to separate the music from so much personal context.
I love this album
Their first and best album. Everything after this had a song or two I liked, but wasn't nearly as solid.
I recognize the talent, but I don't enjoy the delivery.
Another blind spot for me, and I enjoyed it.
There's a lot of "this song really rips after the initial Ozzy drone part" here. Also there are songs called Electric Funeral and Rat Salad. HOT TAKE: The second half of this is as good as the first half.
Wildly inconsistent. Feels like an odds and sods collection. A couple of good tracks.
A good album that I wouldn't normally listen to. That's a three star rating, baby
Wow, no. Between this and the Big Star selection, I'm starting to question this list.
Not for me. I can handle maybe one song at a time, but not a whole album.
A jazz funk banger that the office will mostly hate.
This guy can eat shit.
A delightfully messy album
I enjoy the singles and the general vibe was good for Halloween.
Look, it *starts* with "Respect"
A club sampler of its time
There's even more bangers than I remember on this one.
Not my favorite Neil, but there's some classics.
I recognize the talent, but this is not my preferred flavor of jazz. Also, way too much talking on this, even for a live album.
Another "shame he succumbed to farm equipment" guy.
I'm not a huge fan of the G-funk, but this album gave us Deez Nuts, so it's Important.
Better than I remembered!
Another "not the album I would've chosen by this band" selections
This is better than The Chronic.
Contrary to what pre-40s me might've said, Steely Dan is good. Again this app makes a "not their most popular album" choice. Any major dude will tell you.
It's fine, but it ain't The Jam. It's aging rocker music.
A weird amount of Shoo Be Doo Wah for a good guitar album
A little too soft and quiet to grab me.
It's more interesting to me than when it came out, but I still can't imagine purposely engaging with it.
It's their best one.
I am not a blues appreciator, but this one is pretty good.
It's jazz.
A lotta bangers on this one
Not the best recording but a great band
Honestly, better than I expected.
This album is big and dumb and problematic, but I love it. When I was too tired to think as a new parent, I could always remember the words to "Paul Revere"
I did not know this album, but I like it a lot
This made realize they never play Miles on the local jazz station because his tracks are too long
Classic
The last good one
Oh fuck yeah hell yeah. I knew the breakdown from Raining Blood before I knew the song or artist.
Every song is too long, but it rips.
I like jazz but this was a little too "background dinner jazz" for me.
The best Christmas album?
It's okay. I just don't love a full Queen album.
Really enjoyed this
My favorite Joni album.
It's fine. Maybe your for their 5th best album.
It probably deserves 4 stars, but I just don't love her voice.
I like the hits here well enough, but that's all I need.
Bluesy Zeppelin riffs with enough Satan to freak out the squares.
Greatest cover art of all time and a total banger. One of 2 essential T. Rex albums; the other is The Slider.
The first 3 tapes I ever bought with my own money were Wham! My mom wouldn't let me buy this album because of "I Want Your Sex."
I love them, but i can't really listen to more than a few Run DMC tracks in a row without it feeling too repetitive
I was unfamiliar with this one and I can see why.
I think I thought this band was more psychedelic
It's a mood.
No, no, not that dark!
Not for me
The easiest 5 stars yet.
A new-to-me banger!
Incidentally, the Yo La Tengo cover of Hanky Panky Nohow cover is delightful.
Fine, but not my scene
I
Take Five is peak jazz.
I'm definitely not talking shit about a Kendrick album
record
I really love a couple of these songs and could live without the rest.
Can You Get To That is one of my all time favorites
It's fine, but I would never listen to it on purpose.
An album I almost never put on despite really loving some of the tracks.
A couple certified bangers but not my favorite as an album
Great for not paying attention to
Possibly my favorite Neil Young album
My favorite Goo Goo Dolls song is their cover of "Bitch" with someone else singing.
All of Skynyrd 's best songs are here. ALL OF THEM
First three tracks are pretty dang great.
Proto riot grrl, but with horns!
The title tracked is kinda ruined.
I expected to like it more
If you put this album on to actually get it on to, you better still be going when track four, "Keep Gettin' It On," hits.
The Humpty Dance is undeniable and Doowutchyalike is a favorite since small times, but it's a pretty uneven album.
