Pleasantly surprised by the "non popular" songs

Best New Old alblum that I listen to for the first time in years

A few cuts are really good. However some are just the opposite.

Definitely a fine example of the early 70s

Do conder myself an R.E.M. fan but I am a fan of this alblum

The best I can say is I actually listened to all 53 minutes. The worse I can say is I listened to all 53 minutes. Not my cup of tea.

I was expecting better. I like a bunch of there music but this was a little disappointing.

Was intrigued when i saw it come up. The alblum did nor disappoint.

Was worried about the alblum when I saw it come up. It was an interesting listen. It might have been the first time i listened to thier "non hit" songs.

I listened to them before. I forgot how much I liked them. Since this is rating the alblum I am giving a 3. This is because I like all thier music about the same and cannot distinguish what one of thier alblums is getter than another. I would give the group a 4.

Hate to be that guy but I had no clue what I was listening to. Impossible to rate since I literally do not believe I understood one word. I could not rate as good or bad so I gave it a 3.

Like listening to 70's blues. I like it. Giving a 3 close to a 4

Never heard of them. Expections low. Better than i thought.

Love David Bowie's music. Great first alblum but not his best. But still a 4. Great listen. Changes is one of my favorite songs.

Hard time finding the alblum on line. After listening, I am not a fan.

Liked the alblum. Like JJ. But this is the extent. I enjoyed listening but JJ and the alblum is a one time listen through.

Prior to listening I expected to rate a one or two. After listening I would give a 2.5. Not quite average.

Classic Band, Classic alblum. Rounded up to a 4.0

One song does not make a classic alblum. But a very good song can and did raise it to an average 3 rating

Much too Heavy and Foriegn for me. Did not like music and could not understand lyrics. Hard for me say anything positive.

I give it a 2 just based on the Sanford and Son tease.

When I think of "Rap" and/or "Hip Hop" this is the stuff I think of. Not really music in my opinion

Completely enjoyed. Every track was quality. As close to a 5 as possible. 4.49. 7 o'clock news/silent night song was thought inspiring.

I forgot how much i liked this alblum. Remembered all the songs. Found myself singing (badly) to all the songs. Brought back fond memories of friends and good times. This album is one of the best debut alblums ever. I feel forced to give a 5 star rating.

At least it was in English.

An above average listen. I was surprised to see it was released in 1975. When listening I thought it was much earlier

My definition of a 3. A pleasant and enjoyable listen. Would not purchase. No songs that I loved and no songs that I found horrible. A good average alblum

A very "dream like" melonic listen. Like being in a trance.

Not a fan. I was surprised that they had 2 alblums in the top 1001. I was even more surprised they came up so soon together.

Not a RAP fan. But I imagine that this alblum would be considered a good one. It seems to have all the ingredients that I think of when I think of RAP.

Never heard of her. I was pleasantly surprised. She sort of reminded me of a cross between Anne Lenox, Cindi Lauper and Blondi (I know dated refences). This a good example why I am glad I took the time to join the group and expose myself to new/different music.

Background music. Nothing to much write home or here about. Nothing that stuck as a reason to listen to again

Wimsical light hearted 80s sounding alblum. No substance or memorable

The definition of a classic rock alblum. Found myself smiling while listening to the popular songs. Enjoyed listening to the non released songs. A solid 4.

A lite enjoyable alblum. I enjoyed

I liked it. Bonin in the boneyard was upbeat as was the rest of the alblum. It deserves to be in the top 1001 alblums.

A classic example of Classic County Western alblum when Country Western was a thing. I took me back to a time i was too young to remember. A bunch on songs brought a smile. Particularly Wam Bam. I also kept expecting to hear Theres a tear in my beer ... This alblum is a fine example of why enjoy this exercise. Gonna let the Good Times Roll

Like the Black Keys. Enjoyed the alblum. But I like thier El Camino alblum better.

Vert laid back easy music. Very easy to lean back and chill to the music

Entertaing. A nice change of pace. Nothing special but a fun listen.

Nothing stood out as really liking or disliking. I would have graded as 2.5 if possible. A slightly below average listen

An above average alblum. But I can't give it a five if I like the Fleetwood Mac and Rumors alblums better. It sounds silly but the "hits" carry the alblum

Did not have a positive outlook when I saw the artist. I was surprised when I thought it deserved a 3.

Sort of reminds me of a cross between the Monkees and Janice Joplin

I hear early bowie and dylan ( without the twang). This coupled with his classic walk on the wild side, made for an enjoyable alblum.

Did not know what to expect. The cover art scared me a little. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it enough that I will probably explore listening to more music bt him. I think it serves a 3.5. This is the classic example of why I participate. This is makes listening g to some of the other stuff i dont enjoy worthwhile.

I am glad I listened to for the exposure. But would not be my first, second or third choice to listen to again.

Enjoyed listening to new (for me) (non 70s) Southern Rock. Liked the Geo Wallace song. Some of it sounded like early stones

Loved this alblum. Not quite a 5 but awfully close. Could almost be a Greatest Hits alblum.

Thier best. That is saying something. Had a hard believing it was thier last alblum. A guess they saved the best for last.

Good or Bad when i think of early 80s music this is what I envision

Not a Madona fan, but it was a "fun" listen. Makes me think of early MTV. When they actually did videos.

I liked it. If I knew Spanish it might have been elevated to a 3.

Did not enjoy. Felt like a was listening to a continous loop of the Fresh Prince TV theme. But wasn't offensive so that is a plus

I actually had a couple of these songs on my Playlist prior to this alblum popping up. Classic Blues. When I am in the mood for the Blues BB is a go to.

The first two tracks are classics. The remainder of the alblum did not disappoint. I wasn't not expecting "Mother's Lament".

Glad I listen to if for no other reason to reaffirm that Nirvana is a unique band. I like some of the songs but others are not to my taste. The good balances out the bad.

Mix of Elvis Costello and a little Men at Work. I like it. I like it better than most of my 3 star reviews but doesn't quite deserve a 4.

One of my favorite alblums. The "Non popular" tracks are a good as the ones on the radio. I can't remember the last time I heard Old Friends and Old people Voices. Listening brought a smile to my face.

I was a little worried when the alblum started in French. It was easy listening and good background musoc.

American Pie & elevates the Alblum to a 4 all by themselves. So close to a five. A throughly enjoyable alblum

The alblum has some of thier greatest songs and is "well supported" by the rest. I very much appreciated and enjoyed it. A good listen but I can see how it might get old if listened to too often

Arguably the best debut alblum of all time. Peace of Mind is one of my favorite songs. Hitch a Ride is also an awesome song, overshadowed by so many good songs on the alblum.

Better than I anticipated. I guess it stems from my old art rock roots. Gladiator was exposed. I would not have ever heard this if it was not for this app.

Really liked. It was good to hear the the non standard cash songs. Particularly like the covers of Bridge over Trouble Waters, Tear Stained Letter and Desperado.

Really not my type of music. Obviously my two years of HS Spanish wasn't enough. The music was what I expected. Hard to evaluate without understanding the lyrics. However the music was uptempo and not offensive.

Always have been a Niel Young fan. However this is the first alblum I listen to in entirety. Did not disappoint.

Was not expecting much. Never heard of. However I was very pleasantly surprised. Would listen to again. I do believe one benefits from listen to the alblum in its entirety. One or two songs don't carry the alblum but collectively the songs make this an above average alblum.
