1001 Albums Summary

While I did find the first listen a bit boring, I actually ended up coming back to it for a second one. Definitely a bit out of my usual comfort zone, but it works well as a nice, chill musical background.

The album’s musical style is overall pleasant. However, all the songs sound very similar and stay within the same melancholic mood. I enjoyed the beginning of the listening experience, but I quickly grew bored as it went on. 2.5/5

Overall enjoyable album but fuck Erick Clapton !

I can't believe I put off listening to Linkin Park for so long for some shitty reasons. This album is incredible!

Overall, an enjoyable album that I was glad to discover and will definitely listen to again, though not the most memorable one. It kind of gives me a Phil Collins vibe, for some reason.

I really loved Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Girl VII, and She’s the One. The other tracks lean more toward mood-setting pieces, but I really enjoy that vibe, it’s perfect to have on while chilling or working. Overall, this was a great discovery and not something I think I would have found on my own. Will definitely listen to this album again.

I just can’t bring myself to enjoy the singer’s whiny voice. It sounds like a never-ending "boo hoo, not all men" rant set to music, which unsurprisingly matches the singer’s reportedly abusive behavior.

It’s the kind of music I enjoy listening to from time to time when I don’t really know what to put on in the background, but I wouldn’t go as far as adding the songs to my playlist or buying the album. The songs are catchy, but they all sound very similar to each other, so none of them really stands out.
