Bongo Rock
Incredible Bongo BandStopped listening after I got halfway through the second song. Can’t believe someone convinced a record company to let them fuck around on bongos for almost an hour and a half.

Man I haven't even thought of Coldplay since like 2011. Some of these songs are great, they just got super shitty after like 2011. Can't listen without thinking of 40 year old virgin
I really enjoy the minimalist style. True rock and roll.
Really don’t know how George michael got so popular. Poppy garbage.
What an absolute monster. Great 80’s rock riffs and sound.
The first half is amazing. I just can’t get in to the second half. Octopus’ garden is one of my favorite goofy songs. Love ringo.
Some really solid California classic rock here
Felt like I was in an elevator. Did not enjoy. I wonder if Beavis and butthead ever did a music video on this one.
Never would have thought about listening to this album if it wasn’t suggested. I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty good 90’s grunge/punk straight up rock.
Listened to one song and noped
I had high hopes but it really fizzled out on me.
I wanted to like this one more, but just felt it was very flat and boring.
I generally hate christmas music, but this was awesome!
Everytime I was starting to get into it, they went in another direction.
If you take this album as a standalone from the rest of the AC/DC catalog, it's an absolute monster. Great, straight up booze, testosterone, and satan fueled hard rock. Touch too much gets me grooving so good. If they would have stopped with this and MAYBE Back in Black, they would have avoided the ridicule of all of their songs sounding the same...but with an album like this, you can't blame them for wanting to replicate that.
Could have been a 5 minute album. Electronic circlejerk.
It was a good album, but more something I'd put on as background music while drinking coffee or working on homework than a main experience.
I really enjoyed this one. Not sure how I’ve never listened to Ryan Adams before, given I listen to a lot of alt-country sounding stuff.
I tried. I really did. Weird Muzak garbage with a slightly Latin flavor? Not sure why this is on any list of “must listen to” besides for someone looking to play some atmosphere music at a mediocre brazilian steakhouse
Really generic 70's folk rock stuff. Not bad but not my cup of tea.
I felt like this is the product of everyone telling Dylan he's a legendary songwriter and him getting overconfident that everyone will love whatever he puts out. Like Bowies Black Star but not as bad.
Man I wanted to hate this one, but my preteen self wouldn't let me. I shamelessly raged out to this.
If you’re a high schooler that wants to be the kid at school who’s personality is “really into the 80’s”, this is a 5/5. Otherwise it’s fine. Pretty generic sounding overall with a couple of hits that are enjoyable to listen to. Not a “must listen to” for me.
I was really expecting something more exciting. It felt like all filler tracks to me.
0-3-5, 0-3-6-5… not bad, but pretty boring after a while
Solid soulful crooner album. Unique voice.
Lars sucks. Kill ‘em all is the only Metallica album that’s better than mediocre. I’d listen again but it’s nothing special.
Awesome early punk. I like that they use more than just power chords.
I’d never listened to Siouxsie and the Banshees before this. I was expecting more of a punk sound. This album would sound right at home on “alt-nation” on Sirius XM today. It was kind of fun to listen to but I didn’t think it was anything special one way or another. No particularly interesting songs.
I appreciate Amy Winehouse, and sometimes I think about what could have been if she hadn't died. This album had a great sound. Her voice is tailor made for this kind of music and her backing band is great. Lyrics felt kind of try-hard..."look I've got a great voice and can sing old soul, but I'm going to make it edgy by forcing F-bombs" I enjoyed it but it wasn't something I plan to go back to intentionally.
I want to become a physicist, discover time travel, and time travel back to 1972 and steal the lunch money of the guys who bought this album.
There’s some monster riffs on this one. Sounds like one of the origin albums of Kyle rock. Pretty enjoyable, one of my first intros to metal growing up.
Wtf is this shit
Pretty standard psych rock I think. Enjoyed it but didn’t think it was spectacular.
Man I would have been obsessed with this album when I was in middle and high school. I loved it this time around but this is what I spent hours on MySpace music trying to find.
We get it you figured out how to use a sequencer
I admittedly half listened. Sounds like it would be awesome for background music for yoga or studying or something.
Meh. Whiny nerd rock.
I really enjoyed the first half of the album. Definitely fizzled out.
I had zero expectations of simply red before this album. I still don’t. Really boring, generic pop. Made me feel like I was listening to the soundtrack of a b movie.
I don’t remember anything about this album and I just listened yesterday.
Wasn’t bad. Would be great background music for a hot summer day at the pool or beach. Generic dad rock.
Generic 80’s crap. Not sure how so many of these got on the list.
Really solid Texas gritty grooves.
Not bad, just not really anything I enjoyed that much. The interludes really turned me off.
Really glad I didn’t give up after the opening track. Powerful vocals, lots of energy. Will definitely be re-listening and checking out more of their discography.
Weird but not weird enough to be fun. I thought it was overall pretty boring. I was optimistic since I really like the talking heads songs that I already knew.
I love Elvis but I find this to be one of his least exciting albums. I think this is when his management was trying to give him the “good guy” image
Nice smooth Jazz. Doesn't feel like a lot of jazz where they just play a bunch of random notes in weird time signatures and tell you you're just not sophisticated enough to understand.
Really smooth hip hop vibes. I enjoyed it, but didn’t actively listen enough to appreciate any lyrics
Not my favorite Springsteen. Doesn’t seem to have the same bite and passion as some of his older stuff.
Dark and fun 80’s pop/rock
Don’t get the hype.
Biggie had such a unique voice. His flow is unmatched, and the backing tracks groove. Really enjoyable listen. This is the first one in a while that I felt truly belongs on this list.
I definitely dig the old school punk. Somehow I’d never stumbled on this album but I’m glad I have now!
Stopped listening after I got halfway through the second song. Can’t believe someone convinced a record company to let them fuck around on bongos for almost an hour and a half.
Generic 2000’s pop/folk/rock
Overall I enjoyed the album. Good 70’s rock grooves. Nothing spectacular.
What an amazing album.
Honestly the Beatles best. Not too dark. Not too poppy (by their standards).
Meh. I’m surprised I’d never heard any of these on classic rock radio or on xm deep tracks or something. Interesting lyrics and quirky arrangements, just not really my style.
I remember Robbie’s few solo hits from growing up in the UK in the mid 90’s. I always enjoyed them, they’re high energy, passionate, and fun. They’ve held up pretty well and I had a good time reminiscing while listening to this one. Good mix of Brit pop and rock
This is from what I’d consider Billy Joel’s golden era. Brings back lots of memories of just random pieces of life in upstate NY, where Billy Joel songs were everywhere.
I didn’t realize that so many of the Eagles hits that I like are from the debut. Of course take it easy, witchy woman, and peaceful easy feeling are classic, but I also really enjoyed chug all night and train leaves here in the morning. Super solid album.
Like an organ player at a baseball stadium with a chill rock band behind him. Fun for a song or two. Points for making me think of the sandlot.
Folk rock garbage. Reminded me of that family guy episode where Peter and Lois get super high and make folk music and in their high minds it sounds awesome but to everyone else it’s terrible.
Wimpy background noise album
I liked this one more than I thought I would. I’m big country fan but I generally haven’t gotten in to any of these ladies. Great vocals, classic country/Appalachia sound. Solid record.
Not horrible, but pretty boring. I would put this on to do some homework or studying to.
Kind of fun post punk stuff? May revisit randomly but I don’t think this one will stick in my head too much.
I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough when I saw yet another electronic album as a recommendation. Thankfully I did my due diligence and listened all the way through. Solid album that I’ll definitely come back to, and honestly changed my opinion of electronic just a little bit.
I’d only ever heard of these guys from the lake of fire cover on Nirvana unplugged. Not too bad but nothing special.
Im sure this was something special when it came out, but it just didn’t do it for me.
Really not a fan. This didn’t have the energy that makes ska fun for me and I don’t know how else to put it in words.
I liked this one more than combat rock. It feels more raw.
Folk rock sucks.
Absolute garbage.
Why are there so many electronic albums on this list? That’s 2 this week. This stuff is fine for background music at a spa or in an elevator or something. Hardly what I’d call an album worthy of being on a “must listen” list. My apologies to Talvin Singh, as I’m taking my frustrations out on a genre as a whole on this album. But there’s no way any of these electronic albums are even in the same league as dark side of the moon or there’s a riot going on, or anything else for that matter. Congratulations you can program some loops.
Some of my favorite Beatles songs are on this album, but there’s also a good chunk of this album that I don’t like.
I don’t generally think of Waylon as an album artist the way I do Willie. This was a solid album. Rhythm section grooves.
I’m sure if you’re in to jazz this is great. Brb just making stuff up for half an hour.
I had written this album off previously as an old washed up country star trying to cling on to a past life. When I actually sat down and listened to it, I could hear that I had it all wrong. He knew he was close to death and was trying to reckon with his demons, and that comes through on every song. Hurt is now his song. I loved his version of in my life.
If I could give it zero I would. Who decided to put so much electronic on this list. Enough.
Awesome high energy hard rock. Really enjoyed while at the gym.
I read the Hugo Wilcken book about this album a while back. It was interesting to read about how utterly insane he was coming off of the release of station to station and his moving to berlin to record this was sort of his escape. That gave me hope that the resulting album would be good, but unfortunately it’s just not. Not as bad as black star though.
I didn’t love it and didn’t hate it. I enjoyed having it on. From what I caught it seems like good lyrics challenging the tough guy culture of rap/hip-hop?
Rating this on a curve to make up for one person rating it 1 just because kid rock is a chud. Kid rock is indeed a chud, but this album is great if you take it for what it is. The lyrics aren’t Socrates. It’s a trashy mess. But it’s fun.
Just a bunch of dudes dicking around on instruments with no clear direction
Im glad I listened to this. I put a few song s in my library. But overall I didn’t find it fantastic.
Solid rock album. Added to my library, will listen again!
Solid grooves under some good rhymes. What more can you ask for out of a classic hip hop album?
Took a few songs to get into it, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Will be a good one to keep on the shelf for winter time or a rainy day.
Fun album but got old after about 20 minutes.
I loved this one a lot more than I thought I was going to. Can feel the soul & emotion even though the music is very 80’s
Not his best work.
Solid 90’s alt rock.
Easy 5 stars. Damn near perfect rock and roll album. Chris robinsons voice is soulful and the bands groove matches.
Some real bangers on here, but the rest of the album is kind of fluff
“Great another electronic album”, he said, sarcastically. Maliciously rating them all 1 star at this point.
Didn’t listen but maliciously voting 1 star on every electronic elevator music album
Made me want to crush some monsters and punch holes in my doublewide. Awesome trailer park metal.
Maybe Led Zeppelin’s best album? Proof that they can make a solid hard rock album without ripping a bunch of people off?
Prog wankery
Gets better every time I listen. Some of David Gilmours best guitar work.
I’d say this album is one of the early punk albums. Good stuff. But not the best who.
Better than most of the folk garbage recommended on here. Some solid grooves.
Fucking SLAYERRRRRRR!
Meh. I'm moody in 1980!
Insulting that there’s options besides 5 stars. No skips.
No thanks.
