Excellent submission

First, this is not heavy metal by any means. Thats like calling Volbeat or Five Finger Dick Grabber metal. Not even close. This was very ballady. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t great either. There are some periods of good stuff here, but not enough to justify a double album worth. However, it is better than the 2 aforementioned not metal acts. Right in the middle, 2.5 close to a 3.

Never got the hype. Singer sounds so pop-like. Whiny, almost ballad-y. Music is ok, the Rev was a great drummer, but the singer kills it.

Excellent submission. This is what user submissions are about. Does this deserve to be on the original list? Probably not. But highly listenable. The Bowie song made it, and kept it a 4.

I found this quite boring. Everyone talks about this band as amazing, but the singers voice made every song sound the same.

Started out so good, first 2 songs were great, then the ballad hit. Brought it down and it never recovered. Probably a 3, but could have been higher had they cut some fat.

I’ll give a 3 just because it was big at the time. “Just A Girl” hit the airwaves like a punch in the face. Then the radio got ahold of “Spiderwebs” and “Don’t Speak” and preceded to beat the dead horse with constant bombardment of replays. The album wasn’t that great, Gwen was better when she sang with Sublime, and this is highly overrated. 2.5 tops, but I’ll round up

Long but decent. Trim some of the fat on those early lengthy numbers. The cover was good, Steele was a great frontman.

One of the best things about this trip is albums like this. Would have never listened to this, didn’t know who she was, and probably won’t listen again as it isn’t my genre, but for just under 31 minutes yesterday, there was pure first time enjoyment of an exceptional album. Great submission

My submission so of course it’s a 5. Holds a special place for me as 2 family members who have passed, (one recently) loved this with all their being and having the chance to add it here was something I couldn’t pass up. Love it, hate it, it doesn’t matter to me we all have different tastes but it will be on this list now as a remembrance to them from me. Oh and to the clown who gave it a 1 star and said it doesn’t belong here, there are multiple soundtracks in the book and the list, so pound sand. Open your mind just a smidgen and appreciate something good.

Who is that, Ron Burgundy? Jazz flute??? Not a bad submission at all, being serious. Slogged a little in parts, could have trimmed a little but overall, very enjoyable. Solid 4.

Really? This is the second trolling album in the user submissions so far. Why waste an entry with something like this.

First off I can’t take anyones submission seriously who gives a 1 star to The Ramones, Rolling Stones, The Who. Hate classic rock all you want but if you’re doing this list and can’t see The Ramones contribution to music, then you probably shouldn’t be doing this list. Second you haven’t finished which is another reason for not taking it seriously. Third, judging by this submission, and your ratings, I’m not surprised you didn’t understand The Residents either. This album is a charitable 2.

The length could have kept this from being rated a 4, but the quality of this kept it a 4. Another example of artists not knowing when to trim the fat. These songs didn’t need to be 6 min long. But this was quite good regardless

This isn’t electronica, thankfully. When I got this I was curious. Never heard of him, checked the review page, saw electronica and got bummed. Theres too much on here as it is. Saw he’s Icelandic. Hopes went up some, maybe it will be like Bjork, Sigur Ros, etc. looked at the length, hopes went down, why so long? Short story longer, this was an exceptional entry. Iceland knows what’s up. Definitely not electronic though, maybe some influences. Great submission
