Nope. The “preacher speak” killed it. Everything-uh was spoken-uh like this-uh! The entire-uh album-uh was done this-uh way. Musicians were good, some of the tracks were ok minus the vocals-uh. Maybe a 2.5 at best. And thats very generous.

Talent, theres no denying it, but long, repetitive and very simple lyrics. Each song could have been trimmed about 30 to 45 seconds of repeat chorus.

There’s a line in “High Fidelity,” which this band is mentioned in btw, that says “I just want something I can ignore.” That about sums this up. Was it bad? No. Was it deserving of this list? Probably. Would I listen again? If there was nothing else and I needed to ignore something with music playing, then yes I would.

One of my favorite bands of all time, if not my favorite. (At least right now, it changes) and this is a great album there is no doubt. I don’t often criticize the judgement of the author but adding this and not including Animals is an error.

Best thing about this is that VT uses Sandman before every home game. Wherever I may Roam is great, but there are too many ballads and slow songs here. Not my Metallica of old. I get it, bands evolve but they evolved off my turntable.

He is heard to deal with for 2 hours. Had to break it up. Its a 4 all day, just for the hits and there are some hidden gems but again, trim the fat. Didn’t need to be this long. Could only be released when it was. Wouldn’t have made it in any other time in history
