I'm not sure what I was expecting, but really didn't find anything worth this list.

Can't point out any particularly bad thing about the album, but also nothing particularly good.

Iron Maiden
5/5
Perhaps the best heavy metal album ever, and definitely among the best overall.
Meaningful lyrics, awesome musicians, catchy riffs, and a lot of positive energy.
I cannot think of anything similar nowadays.

David Bowie
2/5
Heroes is the best known song from this album, probably because it also the only one really worthy. The rest are quite chaotic, without coherence, and not very enjoyable.
Exception are Moss garden and Neukoln, with a more Zen, easy style.
rate: 5/10
Simon & Garfunkel
4/5
Not of fan of the pair; never sat down to listen to them.
I probably already knew half of the songs, and listening to the album was a really pleasant experience, even if they are not what I usually listen to.
8/10
Creedence Clearwater Revival
3/5
A few well known classics like Proud Mary, and many less known sons, some of them also good.
7/10
Beatles
3/5
Michelle, Norwegian wood, Drive my car, and other easy listening song of different stiles.
7/10
Elliott Smith
3/5
A little bit bland, but has a couple of interesting tunes.
6/10
Bob Marley & The Wailers
4/5
Al Green
3/5
Funky and catchy.
6/10
Janelle Monáe
4/5
Incredibly diverse album, and even though no song really stands out, it has no weak links in it. Delightful to listen to.
8/10
Metallica
2/5
I usually enjoy orchestra-enriched rock, but this cooperation doesn't seam to work. They sound disconnected to the point that I had the feeling I was listening to some Metallica live recording while watching the old Mission Impossible series. I can't recommend it
4/10
Devendra Banhart
3/5
A fresh breeze in a warm day. The album might seam at first just another guy with a guitar, but it provides a really enjoyable experience.
7/10
Michael Jackson
4/5
A timeless classic with a few incredible successes, including one of my favourite Man in the mirror.
Other minor songs might have not aged that well, but the album as a whole is consistent.
7/10
Eagles
3/5
Rather short album that is a bit more than just Hotel California.
6/10
Grizzly Bear
2/5
I wanted to like this album, but I did not enjoy some of the rather dissonant and chaotic, and the rest were just ok.
5/10
Little Simz
1/5
Not a fan of the genre; can't say I enjoyed it.
2/10
Fatboy Slim
1/5
Could not finish it.
There were maybe 2 songs that were ok; had a hard time listening to most of the others.
1/10
Arctic Monkeys
2/5
Raw, frenetic, powerful.
Yet, personally, the Stratocaster sound and the noisiness gets on my nerves.
4/10
John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
4/5
24 songs, no waste.
8/10
Sonic Youth
2/5
Some powerful 90s punk. Highly recommendable, but only if you are into that kind of music.
I am not.
5/10
Charles Mingus
3/5
4 tracks of very dynamic Jazz.
I probably cannot appreciate it as much as it deserves.
6/10
Elton John
3/5
Not Elton Jhon's best.
6/10
Super Furry Animals
3/5
Fuzzy, Magic, Noisy, and sometimes a bit much.

Always pleasant and uplifting
7/10
Peter Tosh
3/5
A rather short and simple Reggae album. Not bad; not great.
6/10
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
3/5
Twisty, jumpy, catchy. Not bad if you like 50's music.
6/10
Beatles
3/5
Not their best, nor their worse.
6/10
Method Man
2/5
Really not my shite, but I went through the entire thing, so I guess it was not that bad.
4/10
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
2/5
Different, variated, interesting... but didn't resonate with me.
4/10
Prince
2/5
Somehow not as good as I remember it.
5/10
Depeche Mode
2/5
Didn't like them much in the 90s.
Still don't.
5/10
The Clash
2/5
Much punk.
5/10
Ice Cube
4/5
I though about passing on this album, mainly because the genre has never been my cup of tea, but hey, nigga has rhythm!
Glad to stand corrected.
7/10
Public Image Ltd.
1/5
Raw, disconnected, basic.
Sounds as if each of the 4 focused on their own instrument ignoring what the rest are doing.
2/10
The Kinks
3/5
Reminded me a lot to the Beatles.
But I guess I'm a bit older now.
6/10
The Flaming Lips
1/5
Bland. Irrelevant.
3/10
Lorde
3/5

5/10
The Chemical Brothers

The rest of the album didn't age that well though.
7/10

6/10
Earth, Wind & Fire
2/5
80s, Funk & Soul.
Only for fans.
4/10

I don't think I new any of the songs.
Not bad.

Chaotic, full of cacophony. But it also lots of positive energy.
5/10
Ryan Adams
2/5
Bland. Very bland.
3/10

Not a fan of live disks though; sound is not the best, lots of talking.

A beautiful, timeless gem.

8/10
Dexys Midnight Runners
2/5
Annoying imposed voice. Awful pitch.
Yes, there that song everyone nows, and some of the songs are fine, but it was actually hard to get through to the end of the album.
5/10
Donovan
2/5
OK? I guess?
I wouldn't say it belongs here though.
4/10
X-Ray Spex
2/5
Messy, punky, noisy. An acquired taste.
5/10
Led Zeppelin
3/5
A couple of well known songs, yet not Led Zeppelin's best
6/10
Deep Purple
4/5
Brilliant
8/10
Fela Kuti
2/5
Interesting, pleasant, but not involving.
5/10
Barry Adamson
3/5
Different, heterogenous, interesting.
7/10
Dennis Wilson
2/5
Carefully crafted. Insipid.
5/10
Fela Kuti
2/5
Very long, repetitive songs that seam to only serve as excuse to never-ending solos by different instruments.
I mean, it is not bad, makes for good background music.
5/10
Linkin Park
4/5
Power album, if perhaps a little bit too homogeneous.
8/10
New York Dolls
1/5
Haven't listened to them before. Reminded me of the Rolling Stones.
Didn't like them either.
3/10
John Lennon
1/5
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but really didn't find anything worth this list.
3/10
Tortoise
1/5
This is not Tortoise, but Torture.
20 minutes song that is not good even as elevator music?
The rest is just OK, sometimes, but nothing more.
1/10
The Black Keys
2/5
Never heard of them before.
Not bad.
Forgettable.
5/10
The Go-Go's
2/5
The songs are quite plain and rather boring.
It has a nice positive energy though.
I guess they are in the list for being among the firsts to use this style?
5/10
Kendrick Lamar
2/5
I tried to like it, but I can get myself to enjoy this kind of music.
It just feels flat and repetitive, musically uninteresting.
3/10
Miriam Makeba
3/5
The recordings are not the best quality, but the songs have a certain charm that, together with the clicking language, make for a quite interesting and entertaining result.
7/10
Pretenders
2/5
I can understand why, and even agree, why they are in this list.
All I can say is that it did not resonate with me.
5/10
Nick Drake
3/5
Happily surprised. Warm and homey.
7/10
The Velvet Underground
1/5
Physically painful to listen to.
2/10
Bert Jansch
4/5
Folky, Bluesy, old-school guitar picking.
Surprisingly pleasant.
8/10
Sigur Rós
2/5
A little bit too psychedelic for my taste.
3/10
The Icarus Line
1/5
Disc that seams to be taken from the late 70s.
Too "crispy" for me.
3/10
Wu-Tang Clan
1/5
Can't objectively grade it; just not cut for me.
2/10
Creedence Clearwater Revival
5/5
Incredibly influential album that keeps rolling like new.
Great riffs, melodies, and lyrics. What's more to ask?
9/10
Cheap Trick
3/5
Not a fan of live albums.
It's not bad, just not great.
6/10
The Byrds
3/5
Light, Beatlesy, enjoyable for the most part.
6/10
Incredible Bongo Band
3/5
Mostly instrumental, focused on but not limited to the percussion.
I would guess it had a huge influence in the future of funk, disco, hip-hop, and so many other genres.
I enjoyed it more that I would have guessed.
7/10
Paul McCartney and Wings
2/5
A bit insipid.
5/10
4/5
Perhaps U2's best album, even if a bit uneven.
It has a special place in my heart.
8/10
The Good, The Bad & The Queen
3/5
Pleasant background music.
5/10
The Mothers Of Invention
1/5
Too focused on parody and too little on the music.
I'm sure they had a blast though.
2/10
The Everly Brothers
1/5
No.
1/10
Elvis Presley
2/5
Not sure why, I was expecting more.
4/10
Simon & Garfunkel
3/5
Not their best.
6/10
The Rolling Stones
2/5
Not a fan of the band, but I recognise their relevance and importance.
The album has one, maybe two well known songs. The rest are absolutely forgettable.
4/10
Blondie
3/5
Can't say I like the band, but this album is quite interesting. It includes studio and live recordings, well known to more obscure songs, and genres that go from pop/disco to some sort of punk.
Still, not something I would choose.
6/10
Travis
1/5
It is not that it's bad, it's just bland.
3/10
Radiohead
3/5
Didn't know much of the album.
Nothing surprising though. It's fine.
6/10
JAY Z
2/5
Funky Rap, not too shabby. If you can look past the lyrics, that is.
3/10
Julian Cope
2/5
Plus one for trying to do something different.
Another one for touching very different genres and styles.
That's it.
3/10
Marty Robbins
2/5
Western, country music.
I can't say it's bad, but couldn't make it to the end of the album.
3/10
Guns N' Roses
5/5
The lyrics did not age well; lots of misogynistic and immature non-sense.
That been said, it has some very good and iconic sons that defined a generation.
The entire album is quite good, which is something difficult to find, particularly so early in a band's history.
9/10
4/5
When I'm 64 is one of my favourite Beatles songs. Add to it a couple of hits and you have a good album.
It does contain a couple of forgettable pieces, and a presumptuous thing or two.
8/10
The Stranglers
3/5
Repetitive at times, but not bad.
6/10
The White Stripes
3/5
Crude, irreverent and with a sound that mostly sounds 30 years old.
Quite interesting. 7/10
Chicago
3/5
If you take out Free form guitar, and a couple other low scores, the album is quite enjoyable, even if I'm not a fan of this kind of music blend.
7/10
Elvis Presley
2/5
Slow and dull. I was expecting much more hip movement.
3/10
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
2/5
petty /pĕt′ē/
adjective, of small importance; trivial.
3/10
Morrissey
3/5
OK, I guess. If you like The Smiths.
7/10
Sly & The Family Stone
3/5
I was Certainly not expecting to find Yodelling within all that funk!
Quite original, even though not something I would choose to listen to.
6/10
Roxy Music
2/5
Trying too hard? It was annoying at times.
4/10
Beatles
2/5
The are some great songs in this album.
Then again, there are some quite bad as well.
5/10
DJ Shadow
1/5
I had serious problems trying to listen to the songs till the end.
I felt the necessity to cut them short. They felt increasingly oppressing.
Maybe that was the point, but I cannot see myself wanting to experience it.
2/10
Jeff Buckley
3/5
Ok? I guess?
5/10
Creedence Clearwater Revival
4/5
Never gets old.
8/10
Sade
3/5
Easy listening. Very easy.
6/10
Led Zeppelin
5/5
Epic.
9/10
Otis Redding
3/5
Not into soul, but it was ok.
6/10
Big Brother & The Holding Company
3/5
Can't get used to Janis voice. But I guess it goes with the music, which ends up working fairly well.
7/10
The Gun Club
2/5
Raw, messy, laud.
Not going to my playlist.
5/10
Guided By Voices
1/5
Well, at least the songs are short.
3/10
The Cars
4/5
Quite a solid album, though I have never been a fan of the band.
8/10
Bob Dylan
3/5
Musically not a great achievement.
5/10
Bauhaus
3/5
Not great, but interesting.
5/10
Iron Maiden
5/5
Perhaps the best heavy metal album ever, and definitely among the best overall.
Meaningful lyrics, awesome musicians, catchy riffs, and a lot of positive energy.
I cannot think of anything similar nowadays.
10/10
Mudhoney
3/5
135 minutes jumping.
Really not my jam, but by all means I enjoyed a bit.
Not sure I will be listening to it again though.
7/10
Snoop Dogg
3/5
Save for the lyrics, which are misogynistic to say the least, I have to admit that "nigga has rhythm".
7/10
3/5
Not very interesting
6/10
Lucinda Williams
3/5
A bit too country for me, but overall quite nice.
6/10
Tori Amos
3/5
Very nice voice; ok songs. Easy listening.
7/10
King Crimson
4/5
Progressive rock? Jazz? Who cares?
Crazy stuff here; really interesting.
8/10
Nick Drake
3/5
Rather short, easy listening and pleasant.
6/10
Bob Dylan
2/5
Kind of boring? Sometimes annoying?
Could do without the country style and the unfortunate voice.
5/10
Bob Marley & The Wailers
2/5
Repetitive, not engaging.
5/10
Anthrax
2/5
I like the genre, but I have never been an Anthrax fan.
This album did not change my opinion.
3/10
Queen
3/5
I was surprised I didn't know most of the songs.
Not sure if deserve to be in the list.
5/10
Muddy Waters
3/5
Very authentic and full of steam.
But it gets a bit annoying from time to time.
Probably something to watch live.
6/10
Throbbing Gristle
1/5
Two or three of the songs are quite bad, if perhaps a bit interesting as an experiment.
The rest is just unbearable.
1/10
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Not their best, but it does have a couple of jewels, such as Kashmir, Ten Years Gone, Wanton Song, and many songs that are just fine.
7/10
The Fall
2/5
Interesting, though probably won't be listening to it again.
Best song: Petty (Thief) Lout
5/10
Herbie Hancock
4/5
4 songs, 40 minutes.
Surprisingly refreshing and energising.
8/10
Beck
3/5
I always felt Beck was overrated, but the album is not bad.
7/10
Patti Smith
3/5
Not what I'd call punk, but perhaps for the attitude.
I did not pay attention to the lyrics, which might hide something.
Musically, it just fine.
6/10
Abdullah Ibrahim
3/5
Accessible, easy listening Jazz.
7/10
Joni Mitchell
1/5
I wanted to like this, but it was really unmoving, flat, boring.
Songs like The Jungle Line are just bad experiments that I wouldn't put in an album.
2/10
Elliott Smith
2/5
Can't point out any particularly bad thing about the album, but also nothing particularly good.
5/10
Johnny Cash
2/5
I can do with the sense of humor, but not with the country music, sorry.
3/10
Miles Davis
4/5
Some would call it elevator music.
Well, then I'd have to say it is some awesome elevator music.
7/10
The Rolling Stones
2/5
They're ok, but I've never been able to digest the Rolling Stones.
5/10
Beck
2/5
Monotonic, lifeless, empty.
Nothing to write home about.
3/10
The White Stripes
2/5
Sometimes is hard to get through the Stratocaster whine, other times just impossible to listen to (e.g. Aluminum). Yet there are some interesting tunes here and there. Luckily the songs are usually short.
4/10
Blur
2/5
One hit, and a lot of misses.
5/10
Small Faces
4/5
Surprisingly enjoyable. 7/10
Wilco
3/5
Has a vintage sound to it through different music styles, but none of which resonated with me.
6/10
Metallica
5/5
An important change in sound and style for Metalica that some criticise as an attempt to reach a wider audience. Perhaps, but then again, it was wildly popular because it contains several very good songs.
9/10
Baaba Maal
3/5
Great vibes, mix of India, China, Jamaica.
Percussion off-beat here and there, which I found a bit annoying.
6/10
Deep Purple
4/5
Maybe I didn't need the 9 minut solo of The Mule, but otherwise the concert is solid
8/10
Fleet Foxes
3/5
It lacks of substance, but not terribly bad.
5/10
Nick Drake
3/5
Background music.
5/10
Beach House
2/5
Much like the album's cover, the music is insipid, forgettable, bearably perceptible.
3/10
Aerosmith
3/5
Old school rock and roll and some nice riffs.
7/10
The Beach Boys
2/5
Never heard this album. Not the energy I would have expected. Rather disappointed.
4/10
Blur
3/5
Uneven mixed bag of pop and punkish ska
7/10
Oasis
3/5
It is fine, I guess. But a bit overhyped.
7/10
Wilco
1/5
Plain and boring, it doesn't even work as elevator music.
3/10
The Clash
5/5
This album gathers rock, punk, ska and delivers some high quality stuff.
Singing might be a bit annoying, but that's the whole purpose of punk, right?
9/10
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
2/5
I'm sure there a time and a mood for this album.
It is sad and depressing. Hard to listening to.
Musically, a mixed bag.
3/10
The Doors
4/5
Never liked the band much, nor Morrison, but the album is actually very good. Besides the well know hits there's a couple of nice songs I did not know.
7/10
Hugh Masekela
3/5
Not as good as other Jazzy things I got here.
5/10
Pere Ubu
1/5
+1 point for originality/craziness
+1 point for being short
That's about it.
2/10
Spiritualized
1/5
Great album to listen to while on drugs.
Probably.
2/10
The Associates
1/5
Too messy, too out of tune, too 80s, too long, too pretentious.
2/10
The Who
4/5
A classic full of well known jewels, and less know powerful songs.
8/10
Sabu
3/5
Songs are a bit too long for my test, and tend to be repetitive.
Other than that, it is really a refreshing and authentic album.
Reminded me of Buena Vista, but with a more raw and plain sound.
7/10
Elton John
3/5
I thought I liked Elton John. Didn't enjoy this album though.
It generally lacks essence.
"Saturday Night's Alright" is the only song I would listen to again.
5/10
Kanye West
1/5
I have not been able to connect with the album.
No one single song kept my attention for long.
The fact I'm not into this kind of music didn't help.
3/10
Adele
3/5
I only new a couple of songs from her, and I generally liked them.
The album has a lot of forgettable songs, which her voice cannot rescue.
6/10
Mudhoney
2/5
Late punk / early grunge. Not a fan of either.
The album stretched for longer than I would have wanted.
4/10
The Smashing Pumpkins
3/5
Not sure why, but I was expecting more.
6/10
Carole King
4/5
Surprisingly enjoyable 7/10
The Rolling Stones

Not working for me
5/10
Queen
3/5
Not their best
7/10
Frank Sinatra
2/5
Meh
4/10
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
2/5
The funkiness and rapping are welcome; the abuse of 80's electronic sounds in some songs, not so much.
5/10
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
2/5
Didn't like the style, the sound, nor the energy.
5/10
Norah Jones
3/5
A bit boring, but soothing.
6/10
Bob Dylan
2/5
The music is quite bland, and I am being generous.
Lyrics and meaning are important, but cannot save this album.
5/10
ABBA
3/5
Not great, but entertaining.
6/10
TV On The Radio

8/10
The Specials
4/5
Classic British Ska. Fun, energetic, repetitive.
7/10
The Smiths

Not great, not terrible. Certainly hyped, and that explains some of the hate.
But overall is just an ok British rock album.
7/10
Donald Fagen
3/5
Easy listening.
7/10
Ray Charles
3/5
Pleasant though not always engaging.
7/10
Kraftwerk
2/5
22:47 of background soft 70s synthesizer music. That's just for the first "song".
It bothered me less that I would have guessed.
4/10
Janis Joplin
3/5
Her voice is an acquired taste, but the music is solid.
7/10
Eminem
2/5
Meh

A couple of OK songs, but otherwise rather dull

Sometimes repetitive (Part II a?), but otherwise fine background music

The Who
2/5
Not their best. Not great.
5/10
Iggy Pop
2/5
Some annoying pieces, such as Mass Production, and kinda repetitive for the most part.
5/10
The Blue Nile
2/5
Very 80s. But not in the good way.
5/10
Le Tigre
2/5
I know the idea was to flip the table, but playing annoyingly out of tune like in Les and Ray is just childish. Had potential, but ended up falling short.
5/10
Sex Pistols
3/5
Actually better that I had expected. 7/10
Deep Purple
4/5
Quite the album; no weak points.

Not bad, but quite bland.
6/10
The Pharcyde
3/5
I'm not into this kind of music, but I actually enjoyed it.

Dusty Springfield
2/5
Not bad by all means, but perhaps unnecessary? Does not bring much.
5/10
Air
2/5
Decent, ok as background music.
5/10
Deee-Lite
3/5
A couple of interesting songs, a few not really worthy.
6/10
Air
2/5
The album has moods that go well with the movie, without that context is is rather bland.
4/10
Ian Dury
3/5
Don't see the purpose of the second disk, mostly demo versions of the first disk.
The signing is far from stellar, but the album is in general snappy and fun.
Best underdog song: Apples.
7/10
Fleetwood Mac
4/5
Surprised to have heard a couple of these songs, not knowing who they were. All in all, a fairly pleasant experience.
7/10
Sufjan Stevens
3/5
More interesting than good, but there's value also in there.
6/10
Prince
3/5
Never understood the hipe over this album.
Yes, there are 2 or 3 good songs; Purple Rain is certainly great, but the album is kinda boring?
5/10
Nitin Sawhney
2/5
Interesting, but I didn't like it that much.
5/10
Sparks
4/5
Quite the hidden gem.
8/10
American Music Club
3/5
Enjoyable, though not very engaging.
6/10
Run-D.M.C.

4/10
Eminem
2/5
A couple of catchy bits; but overall, not worthy.
5/10
Green Day
5/5
A neat album with a lot of hits and no poor pieces.
A defining release for a generation
9/10
Destiny's Child
2/5
So I knew the fist two songs, and they are OK; but then some, like Nasty Girl, just seam off.
Definitely less that I had expected.
4/10
M.I.A.
2/5
I can appreciate listening to something different, but it was actually hard to get through the entire album.
3/10
Jimi Hendrix
3/5
I had not listened to the album before, and I was a bit disappointed. There are some really good pieces, which already new, but also allot of fillers.
"Rainy Day, Dream Away" was a nice surprise.
6/10
Joni Mitchell
2/5
Uneven singing, particularly "Twisted" (was that on purpose?)
Average music (elevator music)
5/10
B.B. King
5/5
Not a fan of live albums, but this one is actually engaging.
The music and the performance are both beautiful.
9/10
Radiohead
1/5
Really disappointing album.
Pretentious, empty, boring, annoying, soulless.
It holds no value, not even as an experiment.
2/10
Hanoi Rocks
2/5
I don't have a problem with Glam rock, but this album is extremely limited and plain.
It certainly it does not deserve being in this list, nor in any playlist of mine.
4/10
Kate Bush
2/5
The bad side of the 80s.
4/10
Nine Inch Nails
2/5
I wanted to like this album, but man, it was too tough.
The depressive needlessly-violent industrial pill was too much to swallow.
3/10
Missy Elliott
2/5
Ok, I guess?
It didn't bother me in the background, which is not nothing considering I don't like this type of music.

Sheryl Crow
2/5
Nice voice, mostly insipid slow pop music.
4/10
R.E.M.
4/5
Not all songs are great, but its a pretty solid album.
7/10
Pink Floyd

Erykah Badu
3/5
Background groovy funk.
7/10
Mott The Hoople
3/5
Not great, but a solid 3.
7/10

Typical of the 60s and not outstanding in any way.

3/5
Funky, though not my vibe.

Nothing particularly wrong with the album, but nothing particularly good about it either.
6/10
Portishead
4/5
Quite interesting; reminded me of Bjork in several songs.
8/10
Incubus
3/5
Kinda generic, and probably not worthy of the list, but pretty decent nu-metal. 6/10
The Killers
3/5
Not sure if it's the voice distortion or the general mood, but I've never been able to tolerate the band. But I have to admit that they have some hits, and overall is an OK album.
6/10
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Great, but... I was expecting more?
8/10
Ice T
1/5
Body Count is ok, but the rest of the album is dull, repetitive, and excessively long.
3/10
The Isley Brothers
3/5
Smooth and catchy.
Not my thing, but not bad at all.
7/10
Dirty Projectors
1/5
Trying too hard to be original, it ends up being both bland and undigestible.
2/10
Ray Charles
3/5
I only know a few of his tunes, and I was expecting something with more energy.
6/10
Miles Davis
4/5
I don't know much about Jazz, but I can say I did not find this album pretentious as some other Jazz things I've heard, and it was quite enjoyable.
7/10
George Jones

Sounds just like any other Country music album.
Not a fan, can't really have an objective view.
5/10
Boston
3/5
I remember them being better, more interesting.
7/10
Sister Sledge
2/5
Nothing against Disco music, but this album contains only one hit (repeated 3 times!) and either bland songs or horrible remixes (... Lost in music)
5/10
The Cure
1/5
I had a hard time enduring the whining and finishing this repetitive and boring album.
I guess their 3 songs I know/like are from a later period.
3/10
Alanis Morissette
4/5
I can't sincerely say this album deserves to be in the list, but I did enjoy it.
7/10
Paul McCartney
3/5
This would probably not be in the list if it wasn't by McCartney. It is rather simple and short, but also fresh and genuine.
6/10
Talking Heads
2/5
I have a lots of respect for the band, but I couldn't get myself to like this album. OKish most of the time, annoying at moments.
5/10
Syd Barrett
2/5
Amateurish and a bit childish; not worth a second pass.
3/10
The Mamas & The Papas
2/5
I'm not disputing this album being in the list; makes a lot of sense from the political and musical point of view.
Yet I did not find it very interesting or entertaining; just plain ok.
5/10
Tears For Fears
1/5
So 80s, but too much pop and too little rock for my taste.
3/10
3/5
OK; so lyrics mostly suck, but the album gets too much hate for what it is. It has a couple of good songs.
5/10
Ozomatli
4/5
Loved the feel good vibes, and the mix of styles.
7/10
Lightning Bolt
1/5
This is not Heavy music. Not even Punk.
Most of the time it's just the sound of 4 independent instruments making their own thing.
Longstockings is probably the only track I somewhat enjoyed.
Trying to hard to be "different"?
1/10
AC/DC
4/5
Quite the solid hard-rock album with several hits.
Lyrics ain't much, and some songs sound similar, but hey, it definitely works.
8/10

2/5
Not a Bossa Nova fan.
4/10
Stevie Wonder
2/5
OK? -ish? I guess?
Just terribly long.
5/10
Joy Division
2/5
Yes, the singing sucks. The songs are not great either.
But the album probably holds some historical importance.
That's not enough to make me want to hear it again.

3/5
If you look pass the poor signing and some repetitiveness, it is not that bad.
6/10
Jimmy Smith
3/5
Easy listening.
6/10
Nina Simone
3/5
Soothing.
7/10
The Young Rascals

Not sure if it was anything special then, but it does sound pretty generic 70s rock.
7/10
Haircut 100
3/5
Not much to say. 6/10
James Brown
4/5
Not a fan, but the album is quite entertaining
7/10
John Lennon
3/5
Didn't know most of the songs in the album, and it was just ok. Of course, the two bests know songs do bring the album higher.
7/10
Primal Scream
1/5
Could not get through the entire album.
"Star" is the only track I could listen to again.
3/10
Mercury Rev
2/5
It sounded all the same, but OK background music.
5/10
Hole
3/5
Some good tracks, some not so good, but overall not bad.
6/10
Harry Nilsson
3/5

ZZ Top

Supergrass
3/5
I only new "Alright". The songs have variety and in general interesting, though a bit too Pop for me.
7/10
Johnny Cash
3/5
The music is solid, and I love they went to San Quentin to have a concert, but I'm generally not a fan of live albums.
6/10
Fugees
2/5
Except for the well know balade, I found it rather flat and boring.
5/10
Echo And The Bunnymen
3/5
Meh. Forgettable.
5/10
The Fall
3/5
Is it Pop?
Is it Punk?
It's Ponk!
Like my joke, the music was rather dull.
6/10
Pulp
3/5
Did not bother me, did not fascinated me.
Actually, it didn't produce me anything.

4/5
Some nice tunes, some less so.
7/10

I can only say I did not enjoy this album.
2/10
Teenage Fanclub

But not in a good way.
3/10
Big Black
3/5
Not a punk aficionado, can't really appreciate the music or its historical importance.
6/10
Primal Scream
4/5
Some nice songs, but I mostly liked that the album is not monotonous and has some variation to its music.
7/10
Coldplay
3/5
Never been a fan, but if you have to give me pop, at least they have some real instruments.
Liked Trouble. Reminded me a bit of Pink Floyd (if I may)
7/10
Iron Maiden
3/5
I do like Iron Maiden, and even though this the first of the band might have historical importance, it is far from what the band achieved later on.
6/10
Madness
3/5
A couple of hits, too many remixes, and mostly forgettable if not crappy songs.
6/10
Robbie Williams
3/5
A good blend between rock and pop, though the songs are of mixed quality.
6/10
Justice
1/5
Unbearable.
1/10
The Stone Roses
3/5
Not my thing, but OKish.
6/10
MGMT
3/5
I can see why this album has a lot of good reviews. Though it did not resonate with me that match, it does contain a lot of different and interesting things.
7/10
Aphex Twin
1/5
Average electronic background music.
3/10
Richard Hawley
2/5
A bit insipid and generic. OK for background music.
5/10
Roxy Music
3/5
Not bad, considering I am not much into this kind of music.
7/10
Franz Ferdinand
4/5
I only knew their hits, but this entire album is quite solid .
8/10
Moby
4/5
Sampled music like that of this album can get annoyingly repetitive, but Moby does it with enough tact as to make it quite enjoyable.
8/10
Brian Eno
4/5
Odd. Weird. Interesting.
7/10
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
3/5

6/10
