I left it on in the background so i didn't get to listen to it fully, but what I did hear I liked. Overall melodies and guitar riffs sounded good.

experimental with that early 90s rock sound. was very suprised by this and liked it a lot more than i thought i would.

the heavy rock that was developing in the 70s mixed with the folk flute of the 60s makes for a wild combo that's so progressive for its time and really worked for this album. Definitely an album id like to revisit in the future and listen to on headphones.

classic folk music

I thought it was good, it had a lot of songs I grew up listening to. I miss when music had personality.

Notable songs - The 6th Sense old school rap with a sprinkling of new age from the 2000s. Sorta like a mix of Lauren Hill's Miseducation sound with the politics of Tupac. You can hear the transition towards hip hop of the early 2000s but still has the sound of the 90s. The music incorporates more funk and soul that also reminds me of Nujabes, who probably was inspired by this album ngl. Im not the most well verse with modern HipHop but I feel like there is less of it that is political like this album, outside Kendrick who else?

wasnt expecting this to be a live album. also so different than the tom waits that im use to but it was great. loved the beatnik sound, so interesting to see the beginning of his sound start to be introduced through this.

the album was fine. i think it was his first solo album and it definitely had that Beatles sound. curious how his later albums sound in comparison. definitely liked the way the album ended with the breathing sounds.

surprised that this was from 1978. It has a very 80s sound. His voice was so full and raspy at such a young age. No wonder he was able to "make it" back then. Reminiscent of young Tom Waits and Billy Joel. Has that classic Americana sound that he most likely propelled. notable songs: Something in the Night Racing in the Street Darkness On the Edge of Town

Probably the most famous of their albums and the one i have listened to before. Recognized a lot from this album.

Reminds me of my youth

wow unexpected but so fucking good. the start of this album is insane, was not expecting this. what an opener. its like French Tom Waits mixed with 80s Billy Idol and modern British punk after finishing it, i loved it, recommended it to people. 5/5

reminded me of my youth. maybe thats why i give it high score. Its dripping with nostalgia of my high school years and all the great music that came out in the 2000s.

very punk, cant believe this was 91. long punk songs that were almost proto math rock and shoegazy

for 73 this was ahead of its time. early emo early hair metal early punk

never really listened to the b52s besides their biggest hits but this is great. its this great surf rock experimental proto ska almost. Punk in a very specific way but very fun listen.

reminded me of high school. loved them back then. listened to their earlier albums more but this one was still just as good. less screaming tho

interesting listening to this now that im older, experimental and bold at the time, that would later lead it to become infamous. Not to mention Nico's personal life that drove her to more fame. In terms of what it means contextually in music history its an album filled with a lot of artistic choices.

never listened to his solo stuff and this was very different than expected sound wise. more punk and rock with lyrics from the smiths.
