Classic, definitely heard before. Good stuff.
Classic, have heard most of these songs before, but had never sat down and listened to this start to finish.
Solid album. Good band. Not my favorite.
I used to love Led Zeppelin. I was ready for this to be done before it was over.
Not a fan of Xmas music and Spector is, yeah, but this sounds fucking gorgeous, even if I'll never listen to it again. Cheers.
Great stuff! Hadn't heard this whole album before, but Niki Hoeky was a great new find. All hail the Queen of Soul.
Love The Kinks, Village Green is among my favorite albums. This was great
Not my bag, some decent tracks, but way too repetitive for me, fine background tunes.
This is a good album, it has some great sobgs. Michael Stipe can also come across whiny as all hell.
I have more respect for Joni Mitchell than I did before. The Jungle Line took me by complete surprise. That being said, I did not really enjoy this.
Solid. Not my usual stuff, but this was good
Hell yeah. So many great tunes, classic album.
Meh. Unobjectionable, but that's about it.
Ooof, I would rather have NOT listened to this. Blegh. When they started singing about tolerating people that you hate I wondered if they were talking about my feelings towards this album.
Not my general jam, but it's Curtis Mayfield, so it was still damn good, not super familiar with the dude so it was nice to hear more. That cover and title are also amazing.
Oh hell yeah, I'm definitely experienced. Excuse me while I kiss this guy.
It is remarkable how fresh and vibrant this still stands. Haven't sat down and listened to the whole thing in years. Good shit.
Mitch Mitchell is an excellent drummer, and it doesn't matter if Noel was pissed and down at the pub or not when Jimi's in town. Move over Rover indeed.
The closer off this album absolutely slaps. Tasty tune that I've heard a million times. The rest of this felt like I was listening to a compilation called The Absolute Worst of The Kinks. No thanks.
Oh gosh, I used to be obsessed.wirh Sonic Youth. Haven't listened to this one in a few years. It is still a very good album.
Oh yeah, Monk is a genius.
Inoffensive pop. Nothing wrong with it, but for me it just lands with no more weight than 'meh.' Now, that cover of Iron Man, well that was different and unexpected, not great, but different and unexpected . . .'oh, Iron Man.' I like Huh better than Meh, so that earned an extra star.
Stevie Wonder! Higher Ground, Living for the City, He's Misstra Know-it-All, when Stevie hits, he hits on all fucking cylinders.
This is fine. Well produced, inoffensive background music for me. Not my jam. Its fine.
Fuck yes. Metallica's best album in my opinion, not a huge Metallica fan, but this is a damn good album.
This is a classic time capsule, the world again reacting to the new. Wild to hear the crowd reacting to the electric songs that I grew up loving. This is Dylan at his most interesting to me, caught in transition. Good stuff.
I really like Jack White's music. This isn't my favorite album of his. There are some good tunes, but none good enough to overcome the stinkers as far as I'm concerned. The second half really falls off the beam. I get wanting to distance himself from the White Stripes sound, but it's what he does best.
I mean, We Are Family is a good track, but this just isn't my style.
Like many, I'm familiar with this group mostly through Paul Simon's Graceland (and the wonderful exclamation in The Venture Brothers). This was cool, I don't think it's something I could listen to over and over again, but it was definitely cool.
Oh yeah. The laughing during the songs, the banter in between, Cash is a hell of a performer. And then we can talk about the tunes, they're all great and then there's Jackson, hot damn, what a hell of a voice Joan Carter Cash had. When she comes barreling into a few of those lines, just amazing.
In addition to the performance itself, this record also does a great job of not letting you forget that Cash is singing to.men in prison, and I think that's important. The inclusion of the prisoner being called to reception, the inclusion of Cash asking for water, the men booing the warden. For me this is a masterpiece.
This might be my favorite live album that I'm glad I wasn't in the audience for. Heh.
Okay, so I'm much more familiar with Joy Division than New Order, and I still think I enjoy Joy Division more, but this was really good. Sunrise stood out.
Ahh, okay. Some serious grooves here, but it's just so relentless that for me, it wears out its welcome quickly, and the vocals are definitely not my style. I like my metal more melodic. Still, this is solid, even if I'll probably never listen to it again. Like the intro to Altered States was bad-ass, but then . . . oh well.
Okay, I liked 'Lies.' Now I'm.digging 'Undet The Tide,'
This didn't start well for me. I'm not sure it's something I'd go out of my way to play, but it grew on me a bit as the album progressed, and there were definitely some tasty moments. At start this was two stars at best, at a few.points it was almost four.
I'd heard OF Amy Winehouse, I'd not heard Amy Winehouse.
I was not prepared for this to be this good. Fuck yeah. Four stars.
Own this. Love this. Almost perfect. 4.5 stars for sure.
I knew 'That' Entertainment' which is a phenomenal tune. There were some.other good ones here as well, but for me, nothing that came even close to how good Entertainment is. I was hoping for more. Pretty Green was solid as well. Three stars.
I don't hate it. Rolling in the Deep is great if I hear it once or twice a year. She's obviously skilled. Just not for me. Two stars
Fast Car is absolutely iconic. I haven't listened to this album in probably 20 years. It's still very good.
This is regarded as Dylan's best period for good damn reason.
Hooray for vinyl day. Cowgirl in the Sand, Down by the River, Cinnamon Girl. This is a great album. There's really not a terrible track on here, the worst of it being forgettable, which is more than can be said for Harvest. This is one of my favorites from Neil and the Horse. He's at his feverish best.
As a much younger dude I used to really like Zep. Now I was ready for this to be done long before it was. Interesting. That being said, Bonham and John Paul Jones still come across as bad ass, but Plant and Page can go pound sand for all I care. Lol.
I was a massive Floyd fan as a younger dude. They still hold up from time to time, but it doesn't hit like it used to.
Oh hell yeah. Don't trust people who don't love Willie Nelson.
