I wasn't feeling this album at first, but it started to grow on me after the first couple of songs.

They're all right - I think I prefer the instrumentals over the vocals though. I can also hear Stone Roses's influence on bands that came after them, like Kaiser Chiefs (and maybe even Oasis).

This isn't something I would have thought to listen to on my own, but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it!

Like the Cure, but just not as good. Doesn't give me the same hit of sadness and despair.

This album has aged well. Shirley Manson is at her best here, and you can't deny that "Only Happy When It Rains" is a classic.

This is another album that I wouldn't have thought to listen to on my own, but I ended up loving it! It was the perfect rainy day album. I'm going to add it to my regular rotation.

Celebrity Skin is way better, in my opinion. I know this is Hole's breakthrough album, but I'm not sure why this is the one they're known for; that being said, Dollparts is a decent song.

"Sea Song" was definitely inspired by "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." The entire album sounds like it was written during an acid trip, but in a way that makes it kind of charming. I hope Robert's hedgehog friend is okay after bursting the tyres all day.

Darkness, imprisoning me

While I appreciate Joy Division and their musical impact (they've influenced some of my favorite artists, like Nine Inch Nails and Smashing Pumpkins), this album just wasn't hitting for me.

Classic album. Sounds much better in mono.

George Michael is one of those rare cases where the artist's solo music is better than the music they created when they were part of a group (and I say this as someone who enjoys the occasional Wham! song). I'm a fan of this album.

I don't usually enjoy live albums, but this one possessed a kind of energy that's extremely difficult to capture. It was like I was at the Harlem Square Club hearing Sam Cooke sing in person, instead of listening to a recording of a live performance from 63 years ago.

Dark, adventurous, and experimental, Music for the Masses is a defining electronic pop album, and I can see why it brought Depeche Mode so much success.

It's true, you can't always get what you want. Except when it's a timeless classic rock album, because Let It Bleed is exactly that.

Joni Mitchell is like Bob Dylan, except she can sing. That isn't an original take in the slightest, but it's true. And I say that as a Bob Dylan fan.

His music is fine, but it leans too much on the boring side for me.

I like the guitar, and "Sultans of Swing" is a classic, but otherwise I wasn't a huge fan.

The album kicks off with grungier Hole vibes, but once it gets to "G-Song," it shifts to a sound that I can only describe as a mix of The Rolling Stones and a bunch of English rock bands from the early 2000's (though I suppose the latter were likely inspired by Supergrass).

Maybe it's just me, but all of the songs kinda sound the same.

This album must be pretty obscure, because I had to find it on YouTube to be able to listen to it. I'm not sure what to make of it. It's okay, not really my cup of tea to be honest.

I initially expected this album to bore me, but surprisingly, it didn't. It was actually sort of pleasant to listen to as background music while I completed random tasks.

I'm really not a Coldplay fan, but this is fine. The two most popular tracks ("The Scientist" and "Clocks") are the best songs on the album, but "In My Place" is up there too.

NEU 75! starts off so chill, and then all of a sudden, as soon as it gets to "Hero," it turns into a weird version of "White Wedding" by Bill Idol (yes, I'm aware that "White Wedding" was released after this album, but my point still stands).
