1001 Albums Summary

This is an album I actively did not want to listen to. Too much going on

Pretty easy to listen to. I’d probably put it on again as chill background music

Not bad. I could see myself occasionally listening to some of this again if I remember

Generally not a fan of old school hip hop but I thought some songs were fine here.

Decent folky music. It was fine. Nothing really to write home about. I could and did listen to it as background music.

It was... okay I guess. Okay metal with meh lyrics. Probably wouldn't listen again. Giving it a 2 felt cruel because I can see how this probably impacted other music I like. I wouldn't seek it out again. A soft 3

Some songs were okay. Generally not a fan. Just kind of noise to me.

Pretty strong 4. I like the concept. I do kind of prefer some of the originals though, but still cool.

This was fine. A few good songs, okay for background music while doing stuff. Maybe like a 3.5 or so

I was in fact not floating for this experience, but maybe that means I was not the intended audience.

I had already heard a few songs before, but not the whole album. Pretty chill and easy to listen to. I think 5 is probably a bit too generous so 4 it is. Something I could come back to and cherry pick the songs I liked the most.

This album has some obvious classics, but it also had some stinkers for me. It felt illegal to listen to Ken Kaniff at work and Kim was... wow. Some of the songs sound better when you don't listen to the lyrics, which I think kind of defeats the purpose. Overall pretty decent though.

One of the funnier albums we've gotten. Less funny as it went on. UK Rap cannot be taken seriously. Roadman lingo very entertaining though.

Jazzy

yeah, not my favorite. Kinda interesting stories and vocals but not really my thing.

Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands. Their earlier years though are definitely a bit more psychedelic, especially this album which I think was written mostly by Syd. Here they sound just like another young English band with some weirder more off-the-wall ideas. This album is definitely unique in that aspect, but novelty doesn't equal quality. I think this was overall an okay album, and a required stepping stone for the band to grow from

I like Bowie. Cool voice. This album wasn't amazing for me though. 3.5 I think is fair for me.

Started at a 2 for me and went downhill. Produced by Nick Mason and the psychedelic influence is definitely seen. Not a fan of this one as a whole.

I normally judge just based on the music, but I'll make an exception here. Would get a 4, but Jerry seemed like a real piece of work...

Most Christmas music is basically the same songs by different people. Regardless, I still like them sometimes.

I think this isn't bad. I would say maybe like mid-3 range but not really a 4.

Struggled with what to rate this. Was going to go with 4, but listened to it again and can't really find anything wrong with it. Solid album. 4.5 and I'll round up.

A bit repetitive for me. Also sounded like he was just rambling on and on. Listening to it was okay, some of the lyrics seemed... dated we'll say.

I think a solid 3.5. I liked it more than I imagined I was going to from the first few songs. Ended strong for me, but not sure I can give it a 4. Not bad though.

Average. Nothing special. Kind of gave some spring vibes? Gotta love the dramatic..... pause on the last song.

I listened to the start a couple times. Not bad. I did like this album, but it also didn't feel very memorable to me. 3.5 for me but since I can't do that, squishy 4.

A couple of okay songs. Beautiful = v good. But I feel like this is a situation where the sum is not better than the parts and I would rather listen to a song here or there rather than the whole hour twenty album.

EHHHH some parts were a little more than weird to listen to at work. It wasn't bad. Even with the longer runtime, it didn't feel long and the skits weren't awful.
