Different Class by Pulp
Jan 10 2024

Pulp sounded very Bowie-ish with the vocals and music, lyrics were a bit out there and I could Father John Misty drawing inspiration from their music. Wasn't a bad album, but a little artsy for my taste.

The Clash by The Clash
Jan 11 2024

Very good album.

Revolver by Beatles
Jan 12 2024

Great. Love the exploration between psychedelics and pop. One of my favorite albums from them.

Jan 13 2024

I hear Dylan's influence on artists of the 60s. John Prine, Johnny Cash share an similar style to their music from this time. The Americana lyrics are representative of things going on in 1963. "How Many Roads" stands as a cultural plight of a changing stance in America.

1984 by Van Halen
Jan 14 2024

First VH album Jump, Panama, Hot for teacher, i'll wait

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jan 16 2024

Well produced album, a standout for the indie folk. Fleet Foxes has a great relaxing quality to it and perfect for easy mornings or late nights. Blue Ridge Mountians, White Winter Hymnal are standouts from this album that get inside your head. Mykonos is a B-side, but among my favorite FF songs.

I’m a Lonesome Fugitive by Merle Haggard
Jan 19 2024

I liked it, You can hear how he influenced a lot of the Outlaw Country artists.

Jan 20 2024

At 17 I thought this album had everything I needed. At 40, I hear nothing but the anger and put downs. It is stil worth a listen, but I don't think this album holds up for being 24 years since its release. Did Em figure out his anger and find a way to make himself more at peace? I haven't listened to him since the Eminem Show in 2002 aside from 2010 'Love the Way you lie'

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jan 23 2024
The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jan 30 2024

Not much of a Hip-hop/Rap fan but this album is among the best I heard when it released. It still holds up 20 years later.

Metallica by Metallica
Feb 07 2024

How much more black could this be? the answer is none, none more black. A good album that I enjoyed a lot when I was a teenager. My guitar teacher told me to start on Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, and Justice for All over the black album. But this still holds up and definitely made them into the mainstream band they are today.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Feb 08 2024

Good Covers album, Willie is able to show off his vocal range and singing ability with some of these well known hits. I enjoyed it.

Tommy by The Who
Feb 10 2024
Suicide by Suicide
Feb 12 2024

Just very early arthouse style spoken work with electronic beats behind it. Felt depressing throughout most of it.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 13 2024

I didn't grow up in the 1960's or 1970's, but I feel that after listening to this album I did. "I'm on fire" is a little out there, but otherwise this album is among the best classic rock albums. I inherited my dads vinyl copy and have never listen to it, but I think I will put it on the shelf for future listens. 'Glory Days', 'Born in the USA', 'Dancing in the Dark' are all the hits, but songs like 'I'm going down', and 'No surrender' keep the album moving.

D by White Denim
Feb 15 2024
OK Computer by Radiohead
Feb 19 2024

Still holds up as one of the best albums from the 1990's and could one of the best ever. Radiohead doesn't miss a beat in the album and everything fits perfectly. Worthy of it status.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 28 2024

I see why it was so popular in the 90’s. It has a lot of hits but I can’t get past the funk stuff. Under the Bridge is an amazing song, Break the girl amazing. Give it away is over played and suck my kiss is just…annoying. Flea is probably the best bass player ever, Fruscante is a guitar maestro ( just listen to him cover Hendrix), Chad Smith compliments the rhythm perfectly, Anthony’s got front song energy. The album could have been just a few songs shorter.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Mar 04 2024

King of Pop proves he deserved the title. Songs from this album still catch air time today and regarded as classics. Great album.

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Mar 15 2024

Bland store pop. Felt like I was sitting through a 90’s teen romcom. “She’s all that”/“Ten things I hate about you” vibes

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Mar 18 2024

I received this CD from my parents in the early 90's and it is still in my collection as of today. Listened to it a few weeks ago and it is still one of the best from that decade. Love it.

I found this gem in with my dad's promotional records from his time in the music business. Very memorable cover, but I never listened to it until just now. I enjoyed it.

Top ten album of the 1990’s. REM was great alternative music for me growing up.
