The Cars
The CarsPretty close to a 5.
Pretty close to a 5.
Wow! No fillers, each song was so strong.
Good album. Songs blend into each other almost too much. Favorites: Worried Mine, You Win Again, I Can't Stop Loving You, Your Cheatin' Heart.
Mighty fine album but not super what I am into, so I wouldn't seek out most of these songs again. Sound mixing on Spotify is so quiet!! I have heard a handful of these songs performed live (by randos) and I think this album was truly meant to be performed live. Studio recording does not bring justice to the beauty of these songs. My favorite was Tears Dry On Their Own.
I see they like to have extremely long intros on all their songs. I liked Wish You Were Here before listening to this album. After listening, I did not find any additional songs that I liked too much.
I personally believe that ANATO is Queen's most revolutionary album. Opera inspired rock is so beautiful and Queen produced a breathtakingly beautiful and complex album with its influence. Freddie Mercury's songwriting and composition is unmatched and his voice is the perfect vehicle for this album. Roger Taylor's voice is killer. I think I'm in Love with my Car is regarded as a meme song but watching him perform it live while playing the drums the whole time is unbelievable. The vocal control that he is able to (seemingly casually) keep while banging away at the drums is incredible. What a blessing that this album exists.
I listened to each song all the way though and I could not wait for each song to end. Such a hard listen... "Closer" and some parts of "Hurt" are not as bad as everything else. "The Downward Spiral" literally brought me distress. I really tried to find something to appreciate about this album but it made me feel so bad. The best part about The Downwo Spiral is that it eventually ends.
At least it was better than yesterday's album. I thought it was bad but unmemorably so. Was just waiting for the album to end. Instrumentals at some parts were not that bad though.
Nice flow!! I liked it a lot until the second half. Was not a fan of the monologues. Last part of the album tried to be weird but forgot to try to be good. The highs were high but the lows were low enough to bring down my would have been 4 star rating to 3 stars. Favorites: Song of a Baker, Lazy Sunday
Interesting. I liked the first few songs but I do not feel inclined to add anything into my normal rotation. The middle of the album gets creepy and on my nerves. Last part of the album is BORINGGG. The United States of America starts off strong but then falls flat pretty fast. Started off pleasantly surprised by the album but quickly shifted to just waiting for it to end.
Unspectacular. I do not really understand why they are lén tiến. This album was a snooze fest but it was tolerable. I was not minding how boring it was until the speaking and then the ode to Jesus.
I loved the sound but the lyrics were so lazy and repetitive.
Aptly named, cohesive album. I loved the fiddle and shanty town sound. It is just too long.
Good soundtrack to commit shenanigans to.
Did not think I would like it, but I did. I was quite enjoying this album but the f-slur was unpleasant :/ Wish I could say I was surprised that it has not been recorded over yet, especially since it is his most well-known song, but rappers dgaf. Gotta Make It To Heaven is funny. Lyrical contents are tired, but it is a catchy album.
I kind of enjoyed it but also got bored of it pretty fast. Much better works out there in this genre.
The album cover is pretty modern feeling. At first breathe, I immediately disliked this album. Songs oscillated between 1 and 2 stars in enjoyment for me. SOME of the raps were enjoyable to me but much more of the album made me genuinely angry. I truly hated One Love and Five Man Army. Be Thankful For What You've Got reminded me of Sade. I did not mind Daydreaming.
I kept catching myself frowning while listening to this album. This did not land well on my ears. Much of it sounded like wailing to me. I can understand why many people liked them in the day though. I disliked the songs but I can tell they are catchy.
I thought most of it was alright. About three songs in there dragged my rating down.
This makes me nostalgic for early days of Ryan Higa on YouTube. Could not help but dance for much of the album...
Unmemorable and boring. Most of it was alright but For The Turnstiles really grinded my gears. 2.5 ish ... I'll round up.
Holy shit that was amazing.
I hated Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand so much. This album is whatever when I am not paying attention. When I start to pay attention, it is annoying.
These guys are pretty annoying. I liked the trumpets in The Waltz though.
Wow some of that was truly terrible.
I was not minding this but then it went downhill after the spider bite song.
Didn't think this was my thing at first but started to get into at by the end of the first song. I can see why they are regarded as highly as they are in this genre.
Wow I have many mixed feelings about this album. I actually quite liked a few songs but then I found other songs extremely annoying. Recognized two songs on this album.
Meh.... Mostly whatever and a little annoying.
Alright. I liked the second half of it more.
This sounds like an album that only got picked up and released because of nepotism.
Wanted to give this two starts but then some of the nonsense ended up actually being fun.
Disliked most of it but actually quite liked Outtathaway, Sunshinin, and Homesick.
Very interesting. The span of genres felt very wide.
So forgettable.
Alright with it at first but got tired of it fast. All the songs started to sound the same.
Mostly meh with a dash of annoying.
I had hope for this because I like the album cover but wow I hated that so much.
Quite nice actually. Nice instrumentals.
Too much wailing for me to be able to enjoy it. I like this album cover though.
Love Dolly, of course. This album is beautiful, touching, and heartbreaking.
Wow this album snuck up on me. Thought it was whatever for the first few songs but then caught myself dancing to Setting Me Up. I also liked Sultans of Swing. Then I realized that the guitar work throughout this was amazing. I like Wild West End a lot! Enough for it to add it into my regular rotation. Flowers to the guitarist.
Pretty good. I liked In the Ghetto.
Sade’s voice is incredible and so is the band. I appreciated the songs I knew more when listening in the context of the whole album.
Brass in Pocket was already in my rotation. The rest of the album does not hold up quite as well in my opinion. I did not like how the vocals on the first song were so much louder than the instrumentals. The riffs in Kid were sick. Private Life was awful.
That was spectacular. So ahead of its time … even , 14 years after its release.
I liked the first song. I found the rest of the album very annoying.
I liked it at first but then it got and stayed annoying.
I was sad when it ended and that is not true at all for me with most albums on here. Knew and like some of these songs already but this was my first time listening to Rumors in its entirety. It is great to see something that obviously had so much care put into it.
Alright. I liked River Euphrates.
Alright. Forgettable.
I am more of a Bruce Springsteen girlie.
Bleh.
That was all over the place.
There are many and much worse albums on here.
I liked Black Sheep Boy. Everything after that was god awful.
Hated it a lot less than I thought I would.
That was some no-good nonsense.
Surprised by how much I liked it.
First time I enjoyed the harmonica— lot of soul in this.
I don’t understand how anyone could enjoy this.
That felt like God was testing me.
Pretty close to a 5.
All over the place.
Wow! No fillers, each song was so strong.
I am so sick of these drunk, congested, nonsense albums. Why are there so many of these. Anyone who gives this more than two stars is lying and my least favorite kind of person.
Not my thing but I can understand why people like these guys.
Another album that just makes me mad at the creators of this list.
I liked it. After a while it all sounded the same and felt aimless and endless, but I still liked it. Too much for one sitting though.
Really strong album. My favorite was Let It Grow.
I can tell it’s good but it’s not for me.
This list needs more of stuff like this.
I liked Sun It Rises and then White Winter Hymnal even more but the rest of it was pretty forgettable. Nice instrumentals. Low 4, I’m feeling nice.
I was shocked to see that the global rating for this album was higher than 3.0. That was truly awful— some of the worst that rap has to offer. I await the day “YEAHH BOIIII” finds itself erased from my memory.
Saw the genre and album cover and was scared. Thought I would hate it but ended up actually liking it a lot more than I thought I would. Favorite was The Great Seal.
Mostly forgettable. A couple of songs that were enjoyable but then off setted by some more annoying songs.
Not his best. Too boring for me.
Not my thing. The hits saved this from being a 2.
Forgettable. Waited too long to review and don’t even remember anything from it.
Got progressively more annoying.
The bad washed out the good.
Started off strong but tapered off.
Considered giving 2 stars because I didn't mind the last song but I will not give credit for playing news audio under a Silent Night cover.
Lost a star about halfway through.
Would have been a 4 if it had stopped after the first five ish songs. Not that the rest of the album was bad, but it was just so long and a lot of it was unspectacular. Picked back up a little bit at the end.
Embarrassed to admit that I kind of liked most of it.
A whole lot of terrible nothing.
Favorite was Father and Son.
