4.5
Excellent introduction to 1001albumsgenerator!
Listened to one song. I need a job where I can listen to the whole album every day!
3.5/5 pretty non offensive. Some classics I recognized. Kind of blends into the background of my 80s youth.
I like this better than Steely Dan. It was more musically interesting. 4/5
I can't wait to listen to this again and really absorb the lyrics. Perfect for a lazy Sunday with coffee, laundry, and a joint.
Pretty good, not sure I'd listen to it regularly. It reminds of being on drugs.
Good, but not my style. Feels like ambient music for a dumb coffee shop.
Heavy-ish but really freaking good!
Fun, foundational to rap and hip-hop. Not really my style but the more I listened, the better it got! Probably would not purchase if I saw it at the thrift store.
Really good! I would pick this up if I saw it at the thrift store but I probably wouldn't but it full-price. Absolutely would listen again and recommend.
Really good! I can hear where New Order and OMD got their start. Absolutely would buy in a thrift shop or resale, probably not a new copy though.
Solid! Electronica meets hip-hop with some spoken word mixed in. Feels culturally relevant. Really good album! 4.0
I was just thinking about EC yesterday so I'm really happy to see this today! He takes me all the way back to high-school.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this album! I think I listened 2, maybe 3 times throughout the day. Excellent choice and I would absolutely pick this up if I saw it in the thrift store. I would say 4.5 stars; I'm saving the 5s for life-changing albums.
Decent enough. Maya and I played it in the background while she made me breakfast (veggie frittata:). I wouldn't buy this album or listen to it again although I can see why its popular.
Liked it more than I thought I would. The least interesting thing about The Doors is Jim Morrison. Fantastic band!
Fantastic! Mellow and Melancholy. I liked it more than I thought I would. It feels like rainy-day ambiance music. Would absolutely pick this up if I found it in the wild.
I've been listening to the Boss all week so this is a welcome surprise. I just bought this album at the GW:)
Excellent album! I can't wait to find a Wilco CD in the wild!
Didn't listen. I just had The Doors a few days ago and I wasn't in the mood. I'm sure it's great. Also, I'm sure I owned this at one point. 3.5
Pretty good but I wouldn't listen to this again.
DNF, I'll come back to this later
DNF sounds good but I got distracted. Will listen again later.
It's fine. Technically it's a solid album, I just don't think I'm in love with their style.
I woke up in a rotten mood and didn't want to listen to this. I'm so glad I did! It's poppy and sentimental without being sappy. I needed a break from the heaviness of my reality and this was a nice respite. It's a fun album and I can imagine it was fire in the 50s when it came out. I can only HOPE to find this on vinyl in the wild!
Fantastic album! I'm pretty sure I knew all the words to this one. 5/5 for it's social impact.
Meh. That Saturn song ruined SZA for me. The lyrics are dumb.
Pretty good, not in the mood for Tina today.
Fun and funky but got a little repetitive towards the end.
Excellent musicmanship, glad I never have to listen to this again. 2.5/5
Pretty fun and interesting. I recently scored this album at the thrift store and when I got it home the album inside was the wrong one! Boooooooo! 3.5/5 because it's a classic. Would buy the LP but not the CD. The 17 min title track has an irritatingly boring bass line that just b repeats and repeats and repeats.
I would absolutely buy this if I saw it in the wild! I'm giving it a second listen because when it was finished, my first thought was 'that's it?' 4.5/5
Wonderful album for background music. I'd buy it on vinyl but not cd. I'm giving it 4 because of it's historic legacy.
Fucknindont want to listen to this today but here goes.....it was fine.2.5/5 because I've been forced to listen to it too many times.
Bleh. It's gray and rainy today and I was hoping for music to match the weather. Oh well.....off to work I go. It's fine for mid-90s rap; I've just heard too much of it lately. 2.5/5
OK I'm listening......4.5/5 Fantastic and fun to listen to!
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. There were several recognizable hits that I would never have known who the artist was. Definitely something I would listen to in the background, not sure I would buy. 3.5/5
Fantastic mood music! 4.5/5
I've heard this album so many times and most of them i was HHIIGGH!!!
I couldn't wait for this to be finished......2/5
I think i have this album. Let me check.....I do. It's not bad. I like the music but his voice gets old pretty quick. My desk smells like blue cheese dressing.
Fine. I guess I'm not that into hip-hop. 2.5/3
I liked it more than I thought i would. 3.5/5
3.5/5 will definitely listen again when I'm blue.
3/5 Fine. I'd pick it up in a thrift store just for clout but I don't think I'll ever listen to it again.
I. Hate. This. It would have been listenable had they never once picked up the gimmicky jug thingy. Thank god I never have to listen to this again. 1/5
I've owned this album for decades and never once listened to it. And I'll probably never listen to it again.
Pretty good. I didn't finish the album but I did pick up a Billie Holiday CD at the thrift store today. I can listen to this as study or background music.
Someone said this is the missing link between hair bands and grunge and I can see that. However, I found it excruciatingly boring. 2/5
Very interesting to listen to! I love the funk vibe. I bet it would grow on me if I listened to it a few more times. 3.5/5
Love them, heard this a million times. 4/5
I accidentally gave Simon and Garfunkle's Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme a 3 instead of a 4 because I was rushing so hard to give this one a 2/5. Thank god I never have to listen to this again. Grunting, boring, dry.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! 4/5 for cultural significance. I can understand why people don't like his voice but whatever, it doesn't bother me. The accompanying music is stellar!
The longer I listen, the more I hate. 2/5
Ya know, I really didnt like this and was going to give it a 2. Then i heard the guys voice and yeah, it's a 1 for me, dawg. 1/5
OK, you have my attention.....Loved it! I'm not sure if it's a 4 or 5, I'll give it a 5 just to be cool.
Technically sound and probably good but it melted into the background and I forgot I was listening to it.
I enjoyed the music more than the Elvis. I can see why he's considered white-washed black music.
I want so bad to like this but it just kind of disappeared into the background for me. It feels like good study music-- no hook to distract me from my thoughts.
Pretty fucking good although a little repetitive in some parts. It was not a very long album? 4/5 because it's Bowie.
4/5 I can listen to this over and over while I putter around my lovely home.
Always down for Tribe Called Quest!
I want to like this. There are a few catchy noises but overall I couldn't get into it. 2.5/5
Eh, it was fine. I wouldn't buy it.
4/5 I like The Beatles; they feel familiar and calming.
2nd day of The Beatles and I'm OK with that. 4/5
I'm thankful for all the comfort listens this week. 4/5
6/5 this is my kind of music. I wonder if ADHA brains eat this up because it gives the mind something solid to digest while the body and other parts of the mind are busy doing something else? I will absolutely listen to this again and again!
10/10 no notes
This takes me back to the 90s. I was always a PJ fan as opposed to the slightly more popular Nirvana fans.
3.5
I l9ve all the hits but the fillers took it down a peg.
I want to like this more; I guess I'm just not that cool.
Utterly forgettable background study sounds 2.5
I don't mind his voice. I like the music. I can get into the words. But goddammit I hate the harmonica. 2.5/5
Not bad but I'll probably never listen to this again. Plus one for cultural relevance.
I liked this better than their later, more experimental albums. 4/5
Need to give this a second and third listen. 4/5
I hope this is good because I sincerely don't want to listen to TS right now:/ It was fine, very not offensive. 3/5
Lovely. I liked her better than Billie Holiday. 3/5
I can see why this is a big favorite for audiophiles setting up equipment; it's got all the good sounds. I liked it, I'd probably buy it for clout, it may be in my regular rotation of yacht rock/classic rock. 4/5
It just keeps getting better......4/5
So fucking good! I'm definitely buying this one❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
5/5
I want to hate this but I don't.....so far. 3/5 very enjoyable to listen to but somewhat depressing. Having just lost my dad I don't want anything depressing right now. She's wonderfully talented
Little Red Corvette is one of the best songs ever written!
My god I needed this! 4.5/5 will definitely add Otis to my regular rotation. Healing love songs💗
Pretty not bad! I want to tune out and let it blend into the background then something striking starts playing. 3.5/5 almost a 4!
It's fine. I've never been a fan although I can see why they were/are popular. The more I listen, the more I dislike. 2/5
Very unlikable with an occasionally solid drum or bass line.
3/5 solidly forgettable study music; not offensive in any way.
I don't feel like listening to Kendrick Lamar. So so much misogyny and sex. Not even in a cute, clever way. I genuinely hate this shit. Another 2/5 for KL. There are other artists i like better.
My Leaving Las Vegas Playlist. Loved! 5/5
Not gonna lie; they had me in the first half! I thought this was a shitty incel band from 1966 but it's Zappa:) 4/5
