My third album, I originally gave a 4, but when I relistened, I feel like this belongs among my 5s instead. Interesting how taste can change in just a small fraction of time

Did not expect anything from this, never heard of it. Instantly had to listen to it three times to make up for that

Gimme shelter by itself is a masterpiece, the woman’s vocals give me goosebumps but then adding tracks like live with me, let it bleed and monkey man deserve a 5 and the iconic closing track is an extremely large cherry on the top.

I don’t like live albums but this one has good reason to be a live album, performing for the prisoners and the passive aggression to the guards is just something else

One of my most listened to albums, but why? It’s hard to explain.

My most controversial rating so far, +2 from the global average, not every album needs to have some deep meaning to be great, Rhythm Nation 1814 is just too groovy and that's enough

Some of the best guitar work ever done

Changed music undeniably, probably sounded like evil music to the people of the time, every track is written masterfully and complimented by the gritty vocals,

Last track gave me blew me away after most of the album was so mid

Justifies its length with quality music, lyrics are great, production is great. The albums order is very important because the mood shifts like a tide

Kanye's best album tied with late registration. He's so trash now

I always give albums a fair chance before grading them but for the first time I'm listening halfway through it's too "nothing" if the second half is the greatest music i've ever heard I'll never know

I just listened to this album 1 day before it was generated for me. Syd Barrett's best feat is having wish you were here written about him. 4

Too good to be a 4 but if there was a 4.5 button I'd probably press that. Great record

The mess we’re in was instantly not just one of my favourite songs on the album but of all time and I’m so scared each time I listen to it that I’ll get sick of it and it can’t capture that magic feeling of the first listen, I was playing subnautica listen to this album and the atmosphere of the album fit perfectly with the feeling of being at the bottom of a vast dark sea. A somber peacefulness with a perfect pinch of sadness and dread.

Watermelon man has an anxiety inducing aura

idek, really hated at first, sounds like noise pollution but i get it

slowly got worse or more repetitive

I wish I could have these guys in my basement so they could sing me to sleep every night

I've been too generous with my 4s, this album is fine but I don't like it enough for that. Lyrics and guitar didn't feel special on most tracks, few highlights bring it up

Some of the beginning guitar riffs start to feel unoriginal since you hear the best in the first two songs, but each song does develop its own flavour eventually and are each great

No one will ever do it like queen, blending pop and rock so excellently, death on two legs is an excellent way to set the tone but there is a period in the album where I get slightly bored but I can move past it due to how good the surrounding tracks are, seaside rendezvous is a surprisingly really nice song, you’re my best friend to great too and, of course, this album has THE song

I listened to the whole the police discography before this and I gotta say it’s one of the weaker albums everything before every breath you take was underwhelming and after that was good

Slightly all the time was good, Moon in June was horrible

Reviews made me expect this album was going to be horrible but it was mid, just music you can turn off your brain and play in the background and for what it is it’s alright

Not bad but not a big fan if the voice or lyrics or the production here

The sheer newyorkness is overwhelming, the second the beat started on the 2nd song I instantly hated New Jersey pizza and was a die hard fan for the Knicks. Music wise tho it was mid only good thing was the samples, still 4

Sneakily good, I can see why people may not like it but I was pleasantly surprised

Phew, judging by the first two songs I was thinking I’d give this a 5, thankfully Morrissey pulled through and was a knob like usual. Glad I’m not putting one of that prick’s works among my favourites
