Enjoyed it. First half better than the second half. One of their best albums
Interesting. Somewhat. Couple good songs, nothing I’d revisit. Maggot brain has some great guitar!
Pretty good pop-soul music. Good listen!
It’s Blitz,” the third studio release by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, stands out as a fantastic entry in the band’s discography. The album cover is striking and memorable, perfectly setting the tone for the music within. This record showcases a compelling blend of electronic and indie rock elements, resulting in a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. From start to finish, every song on the album stands out, making it a consistently engaging listen with no weak moments. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the band, “It’s Blitz” is sure to impress with its energetic style and creative production.
Awful, awful, awful. Didn't even make me jiggy.
Very strange band. They have a lot of albums and definitely a few show up on this awful list. And from what I have heard, this is the best one. And it’s not that good. Couple decent songs but…weird. Wowee Zowee, maybe Pavement liked them?
better then I thought to be honest. But not my cup of tea. Like her better as an actress.
Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life is an electrifying journey from start to finish, perfectly blending the raw energy of Stooges-era punk with infectious, Bowie-infused pop hooks. With David Bowie himself contributing keyboards and backing vocals throughout, the album pulses with a unique synergy—gritty yet undeniably fun.
From the moment the title track kicks in, Lust for Life grabs your attention with its driving rhythms and rebellious spirit. The album doesn’t let up, serving up track after track of high-octane rock that’s both aggressive and melodic. While “The Passenger” stands out with its hypnotic groove and singalong chorus, every song here is a banger, showcasing Iggy’s charisma and Bowie’s pop sensibility.
Whether you’re drawn to the punk edge or the catchy melodies, Lust for Life is a wild, enjoyable ride that never loses its momentum. It’s a must-listen for fans of both artists—and for anyone looking for an album that’s as fun as it is fierce.
Not for me. Found it boring.
One of the best Hip-Hop albums of all time. Own this on vinyl. So may awesome songs on this.
It was ok….nothing exciting. It didn’t hurt my ears.
Very boring classic rock.
Boring. Elevator music. Didn’t hate it. Would never play it.
Pretty good Classic Rock album
I mean, you can tell she is talented. She was 21 when she wrote this. But, not my thing. One or two … ok songs, but majority, boring.
I have listened to this a few times before. While not my favourite thing to listen to it’s not bad. A couple of tracks stand out somewhat and could make a 90s rock playlist. Not something I would revisit much though
Enjoyable. Some good psychedelic. I also thought too much to drink (not dream!)
It’s classic punk rock. Some great songs (London Calling, Jimmy Jazz, Rude Can’t Fall, The Guns of Brixton, Wrong ‘em Boyo, Death or Glory, The Card Cheat). Not something I’d listen to often, but it ain’t bad. Pretty good album for the year in which I was born :)
Amazing album. Not something I throw on a lot anymore but when it came out, this was insane. Very different than anything else at that time.
Wasn’t my thing. Wasn’t awful, but not sure why this is an album I had to listen to….
First track was awesome. Not a huge Jazz fan but liked this. A mix of blues and Jazz.
Prior to listening, I assumed this was going to be a reggae album.
Not my fav. Bowie album but pretty good.
Hard to stay awake to this while listening on my morning commute. Every song sounds the same (as Ben mentioned). Reminds me of the crappy music you hear on New Year’s Eve in time square. Didn’t like. zzzzzzz
A classic Hip-Hop album. I first got this back in 1993 while I was part of the BMG music club. I got this and a Conway Twitty album, picked completely random. Never got into the Twitty album but this one changed my view of Hip-Hop. So good.
2nd best Beck album. Love The Dust Brothers.
Not really a fan. Only song that stands out is that song that played over and over again on Stranger Things.
Not something I typically listen to. Not horrible. I’d probably give it a 2.5 stars.
Classic background music rock. Wouldn’t ever put this on myself but if it came on while listening to classic rock radio, I wouldn’t mind.
Great Indie Rock from the 90s. Fun album. Standout track is track 4: Alright.
Enjoyed this. Definitely deserves to be on this list.
Never been a Prince fan. Listening to this (again) did not change this fact
Did not like this much at all. I don’t think I like a lot of 80s music.
Not my fav Prodigy album (Experience is the best!!) but this one is good.
I think this is my favourite of her two albums (two? I think). Quite enjoyable. Not typically a genre I’d listen to.
Wasn’t overly familiar with this group. Besides Sultan. I liked it though. I have a feeling if I listened to it a lot it would grow on me quite a bit.
Love the album. Majority of the tracks are fantastic. Doesn’t get old!
So much classic roc this week. This is another pretty good album. A few songs are definitely in my 60’s / 70’s rock playlist.
Not something I’d listen to on a regular basis. I have listened to this many times in the past. Very influential and you can tell.
Listen to Renegades of Funk by Rage if you haven’t heard that before.
The singles are the stand outs. Maybe only because I have heard them 100 times. I find her a little cringy.
Probably my least favourite ATCQ album, but still very good.
Not a big fan. Sounds like noise. I know this was a Cobain fav…but I never really got this.
It’s ok. Didn’t blow me away. Stand out tracks IMO are Sweetest Perfection, Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence.
Amazing album. Not my favourite LZ but I don’t think there is a bad one.
It’s ok…some decent tracks. Too long. Not nearly as good as their pre-pop phase.
Great album. Some fillers but for the most part very consistently good.
Amazing album start to finish.
2nd best Common album IMO. Very very good all the way though.
Pretty fun set of oldies!
Didn’t know the context til’ I read destroy-fun…. Which was after I listened to it. Would listen again with this in mind. I kind of listened to this on the train while not really paying attn to the Lyrcs. Music kinda just made me want to sleep. Anyway.
This was ok. Never heard it before. Not something I’d go back to likely.
I liked the music. Not really the vocals. But it was ok.
Amazing album. My favourite Radiohead album and one of my favourite albums of all time.
Didn’t enjoy it all that much. Surprisingly, I had never heard a single song from this. Most of it sounded the same.
Listened to it a lot back in HS.
Better than I thought. Decent classic rock, haven’t really heard any of this before. Nothing special but nothing not special.
