Reviews (page 9 of 9)
I know I’m not even 20 albums in but this is just so infuriating. 1001 albums is genuinely far too short to be including forgettable Anglo butt rock side projects. I tried my best to listen and be in the music, and I can’t remember anything besides the same recycled jangle-brit-pop garbage. Alex Turner makes good music. But not here.
I tried. I just couldn't make it through it
Not anything outstanding. Lots of forgettable tunes.
Why did we need this?
Meh
this sucks
Drivel
It’s just not for me
Nasty business to trick everyone into listening to a junior varsity arctic monkeys album
Boring. Sounds like it should have been a thing way before 2008.
No
Chato
Dull.
Thought this was a bad 60s mod rock album at first. To find out it was made in the 2010's. Oof. Dated, unappealing.
Hot garbage. The arctic monkeys are pretty bad in their own right…this just seems like a contrived take on their sound. So happy it was only 35 mins. 1.5/5
I'm not sure this is really on a par with Bowie or Scott Walker, but this was an okay indie approximation of that style and grandeur. Something about Alex Turner's voice makes me feel a bit sad, maybe even a bit ick, like I don't really want to live in the world that he describes, and I never really got past that.
Different.

not my favourite
Scott Walker called, he wants his tribute band back.
Boring shite. Nothing memorable slog to get through. 2/10
Boring
Just bad arctic monkeys songs.
put in on in the background and that's where it stayed
Can't get past the third track. Horrible vocals from that talentless arctic monkeys guy ruin this.
It was not good as it was indie music. The only redeeming factor is that it was relatively short.
didn't hate but noting stood out. played like BG music for me
Actively irritating
Meh, I stopped listening after 5 songs
I guess this makes sense as an Arctic Monkeys offshoot.
The kind of album that makes me want to abandon this project. I am 100% certain life would still be worth living if I had never encountered this album. 1/5: Didn't make it through the first track.
Konseptin inspiroimia ammattilaisia. Konsepti on muuten Bond-leffat. Eikä Turner ole tuntenut nautintoa säveltäessään näitä biisejä.
Did not enjoy.
Boring as Arctic Monkeys
sounds like all that arctic monkeys-era stuff not that interesting
mid, it was too cringe
1/5 this was disturbing
