Remember when this hit in the pre streaming days and so was a bit harder to just give a listen without buying it. Listening to a few tracks in the CD shop didn't do it justice as I feel it needs a few solid sessions before it becomes ingrained. I didn't 'get it' back then but it has become a stable that I return to quite often nowadays.

Different album, but Stevie Wonder must be pissed!!
Anyway, so going into this I thought I just listen to it the background while getting ready for the next day, well prepared to give it a 4 because everyone knows this is a great album. I was even considering a 3 just because I had heard is so much and was possibly sick of it.
But, it is a great album and actually hooked. I began to appreciate what a story it tells. Will definitely go back.

So I'm some bloke who is a mix of South African, Austrian and now living in NZ . However when listening to this I feel as 'American' as apple pie from the Mid West . I start singing the next song on the album before the current one is done - it can only be a strong 5 for me.

Never listened to the back catalog, but my god I'm glad I did. Takes me back while making me look forward
