Great Album. Every listen gives a different result and the variety to genres is fascinating. Truly a band exploring their influences and not afraid to move and change what they are doing.

Nailed on classic. Whether it is listening in a smoked filled teenage bedroom, coming down from the nights festivities or at the passing of a friend, this album will always be a fundamental part of my sound track of life.

Never heard this album before. Obviously the title track is a classic but the rest holds up and really is rock n roll/metal/punk combined. can here some many links to other tunes and band. fantastic

I assumed that they were a one hit wonder band and that this would be fairly meh...but I was wrong! This is a gloriously daft and superbly unself conscious album . They throw in all the metal tropes and make it work . you can feel the genuine love and affection for the music, style and genre and it is great.

An underrated classic album. So much going on and Foxtons bass is epic. You can see how far they have progressed from their early days and Wellers word play is fantastic.

This was a surprising revelation. Confounded my preconceived ideas of what Iron maiden albums are. You can hear the various influences in hear everything from pub rock, prog, punk and thrash to name but a few. Have already given it a relisten

Loved this before i got this album. So many good and diverse tracks.

I got bored with this to be honest. cool cover art but it just went on a bit for my liking and didn't really go any where and no stand out tunes.

This is a great album. lovely Mediterranean /South American/ambient vibe.

there are some nice tunes on here but the Kinks always sound a little bit fey to me. Maybe its the production levels not giving them the same sort of heft as the Who.

like it. lots of crazy jazz, psychedelia and rock/metal. definite sounds of sabbath in one of the songs

interesting to listen to and i can see why it had such an impact as it was very much not a rock or pop album but the time they have a'changed and it didn't impact me that much.

Forgot how good this was. I felt he was treated as a bit of a joke at the time with the bit hats and denise van outen etc but by god are there some great tunes on here.

I love Sister of mercy. Takes me back to my goth phase. I really like this album and it still sounds fresh but my very favorite is First and Last and Always. i can still remember the first time i heard it and being blown away by the whole vibe

I have loved Billy Bragg since hearing Life a Riot with Spy vs Spy. I can fully understand that his voice might not be everyone's cup of tea but his lyrics tell suck great stories with a wonderful imagery and a hint of whimsy..."How can you lie there and think of England, When you don't even know who's in the team" ...sublime!!

Absolute classic. Came out when I was a teenager and it was such move on from Unforgettable Fire and just took you away to the heat and sweat of America. Listening again I still hear so many new things I have missed before. Love it.

Another classic album. Still sounds as good to me today as it did when i first bought. Blends so many different interesting sounds and Ian Brown could actually hold a tune. I have no idea how this has aged for new listeners, as for me it is still as fresh and new as the day it was released and listening to it I feel like the teenager I was at the time. Forever 5 stars!

so many good tracks on this and takes me back to the 90's. I never had this at the time but it was everywhere. Needs more listens as the non hit tracks are very interesting and Jarvis is certainly not holding back in his lyrics.

Not really my thing but its ok. best bits are the samples and bits of old songs they nicked. all a bit misogynistic, gangsta and all about the cash which is very much not my vibe. sort of thing that 'cool' wanna be gansta's would make/listen to.

I know this is a classic and I should love it, and I am sure it blew peoples minds at the time but for me it has a couple of good tunes on and some others which are interesting but its not going to the top of my list I am afraid.

leans very heavily on a Frank Zappa vibe at the start ( in fact I thought it was a Frank sample first go round), which is not necessarily a bad thing. I like that it weaves about across genres and style and I will certainly be looking out more of his work.

For an album called new Wave I was expecting something new, exciting, edgy but this was just dull and forgettable. No idea why this is on this list?
