Meh. Strings cool at first, then just cheesy.

Forgot how good an album this is. Some of Neil’s best work.

Janet dropping those sick beats. Then other not so super stuff. It’s all about the dancing.

This is the Day and Uncertain Smile still sound fresh after almost 40 years. Classic early 80s post punk.

Enjoyed the metal. Not the best metal out there, but some pretty good stuff.

Not my favorite. Liked the song with eminem.

I do like Kraftwerk, but this is not my favorite. Still pleasant to listen to.

Felt like I was sitting through a film marathon of Apocalypse Now - Forest Gump - Platoon. Pretty awesome.

Some of it sounds a lot like a newer Mott the Hoople. Not bad.

Didn’t finish listening, but much more interesting than the JayZ album.

Concept albums: sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. This is a don’t. At least there is one gem in there, 80’s classic, Our House. The rest very forgettable.

Thought I’d hate it, but there are some pretty good pop tunes, along with a lot of not so great stuff.

Outstanding. One of my favorite Stones albums. Beyond Sympathy and street fighting man, Stray Cat Blues, Jigsaw Puzzle, salt of the earth. Just Mick, Keith, Charlie And Bill for the most part. Stones at the peak.

Pleasant, but not very interesting to listen to. Like a poor man’s Jim Croce or James Taylor. It’s a no from me Dawg. Lot of stuff like this from this era that is sooo much better.

As with most heavy metal, a little goes a long way for me. They are pretty darn good though.

This is a top 1001 album of all time? Wow. Toys in the Attic, maybe, but this, nope. Without Run DMC and MTV, we may never have had to listen to this. Janie's Got a Gun gets it to two stars, even though it was played relentlessly on MTV and elsewhere, it's not bad.

Apache gets it 3 stars. Fun to listen to, although the covers get a little tired by the end.

Awesome energy, gets a bit weak at the end. Will definitely listen to some of their other stuff.

Third song should have been titled “Doctor Please … make this song stop”. I know it was early metal, but man these guys were clearly not good song writers. Summertime Blues cover is a classic though.

My Generation and The Kids are Alright are outstanding. Like early Stones albums, they are figuring it out with lots of Rb and blues covers, some of which are a little rough.

Glad we got to listen to this. I had written it off previously, thinking Fake Plastic Trees was the only song worth listening to on the album. This is tremendous. One can hear Radiohead moving toward what they would become on later works.

Was between 4 and 5 for this. Some of Neil's most memorable songs on here, and some more forgettable. Classic album nonetheless.

Two of their best songs on here. Otherwise, not my favorite Talking Heads album.

Thought I would hate this, but ended up enjoying it. Oddly, sounded a bit like Gang of Four in spots.

Comes out of the gate with a lot of great stuff. Just went a bit too long and less than stellar toward the finish.

Songs missing from Spotify, so only a partial listen. Too explicit for this old man. Biggie could rap though.

Makes me rethink my Biggie review, which I would now like to increase, but alas that is not allowed. Since I cannot increase Biggie, I must decrease this.

I am a ZZ Top fan, but have never really liked this album.

One of the things I am noticing about this list is that it seems to pick the most commercially successful album of a group, which, in my opinion, is often not a band's best work. Eliminator by ZZ Top is a good example and so is this. No one listened to this, at least no one who would admit it. It was the first two albums with, Yours is no Disgrace, I've Seen All Good People, Roundabout, etc. The first 2 Yes albums are enough. Tres Hombres is enough for ZZ Top.

I know this is way out there, but I was actively engaged listening to it. It was refreshing to have something that compelled me to pay attention, even though I’m not sure why.

The good stuff is great, the rest not so much.

Love Tina, but man the mid 80’s synth and drum machines, etc is tough to take.

For a long time I did not like Steely Dan. Big fan now, but this album is low on the list. Pales in comparison to much of their other work.

Sounded great right off the bat, but ended up fading into mediocrity. The lead singer sounds like a very tame and much less interesting Janis Joplin.

What can I say? I like Green Day

It’s a no from me dog. Just not very good. Much better music from this genre and time out there. Not sure why I needed to listen, although I did literally laugh out loud when he slowly whispered “L S D”.

Not sure I'd call this "rock", but I really enjoyed it.

Even though I am not a Henry Rollins fan, this was fantastic.

How is this on any top list? Pentacrap, Basket of crap. Was this meant to be a comic effort? This is a great example of music that is unremarkable and forgettable. If nothing else, it has me fired up to listen to something good.

Love the Talking Heads, not my favorite. A sign of things to come. Some fantastic stuff on here.

Not a fan

Never have been a fan of Jazz Fusion. While this is a fine expression of the genre, I just can't take this much soprano sax. Wayne Shorter is a master of the instrument, I just don't like the instrument. Likely, the ubiquitous Kenny G has ruined it for me forever.

Typically I enjoy hearing punk stuff l haven’t listened to before, but this, not so much. Now I know why I probably never listened to it. Not great.

3 stars just for Teenage Kicks, plus one for the rest.
