VU’s first post Cale release. Reed leans heavily on Brill style compositions and early rock n roll influences. VU lite
Great QJ production. Out of the gate strong, mellows and ends with a decent pace.
A must in every library.
Incredible for a third LP. Probably the most cohesive AF album. Sprawl 2 is top tier track, perhaps AF’s finest.
Best part is that it is only 37 minutes. Peace Frog is good though.
Solid sophomore LP. Great arrangements and production
Top Ten All Timer (even though it’s a bit bloated).
Really enjoyed, solos and vocals a bit much at time, but really solid sound and message throughout.
Tough listen, last track was the best.
Solid album
Fun listen. Very nostalgic
2013 remastered version. Few great songs would be nice for a dynamic shift between tracks. Last two tracks (Jamaican Version) are as good as the best tracks.
Classic.
Can see how this is influential, but does not work for me
Good production and interesting arrangements, not my style
Few bangers
Excellent, will Re listen
Epic album. “Smiled and Held My Hand”
Excellent, will Re listen
I should listen to more German Electronic
Never been my jam, exceptional technique but the lyrics are beyond tastless.
First listen, decent but doesn’t come close to the greatest of later missy.
V 80’s and dramatic. Some good funky elements
Exceptional
Was a real grind to listen to the enter album
All timer
Drags on
Excellent live album. Van in his prime, excellent band who are super tight and have excellent tone
Great to revisit after many years.
Dug it!
Not my thing. Counting Out Time is a stand out track for me.
Some good tunes, but in general shleppy country rock.
Sounds like the late 00’s
Fine not great. big band jazz blue
Lovely Album, will revisit
“Cocaine Blizzard”
Iconic, never need to hear it again.
Sexist misogynist bullshit for incels.
Enjoyed, not memorable.
All timer
Very interesting album. Never heard of it prior to listening.
This brings me no joy
One of the greatest.
Cool album, very timely
She’s always, Restaurant and Only drag this up to a 4.
Very enjoyable
pretty enjoyable! Looks of fast chuggy riffs, great drumming
Delight album
Classic!
Definitely filler, background music
Solid album, enjoyable hooks, great 80’s rock album.
Second best post-Beatles solo album
It’s over now
Fun production, very 96 lyrics, silly sexist etc
Stunning.
Iconic!
Enjoyable. Interested in learning more about the Northern Irish rock scene
Great production. Lyrics haven’t aged well, but the beats are great. 3.85/5
Work of art
Enjoyable, straight shooter is great.
Bongo Big Band
Lovely LP
Fun honky tonk
Dig it.
Starts off banging, b-side is a bit of a drag
Pretty boring
Tedious white guy blues
Good live album, rather long
An absolute chore. Slide tone is brutal
Love this album.
Stunning that a 19 year old sang and composed this.
Exceptional
A touch longer then needed, but MES is brilliant so I’ll let that slide.
Jaunty fun
Watered down chamber pop
Strong 3. Surprising enjoyable, came in with low expectations. Might register and move to 4
