Popular Reviews

The Infotainment Scan by The Fall

2 stars feels rough, but there's just much better post-punk albums out there. I'd likely never to listen to this again.

Let It Be by The Replacements

I generally am a big fan of post-punk and punk music but I didn't really like this one. Please give me something by the Cure or the Clash next!!!!

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette

and every time you speak her name does she know how you told me you'd hold me until you die? 'til you die? but you're still alive!

The Bends by Radiohead

This was one of my favourite albums as a teenager and it's still as good as the first time I heard it. I've always liked Radiohead, but I'm not as big a fan as a lot of people. In my opinion, this is the best Radiohead album. Truly excellent from start to finish.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Apr 22 2025

Just not my cup of tea. I think if you halved the album and just picked out the good bits you could have something special, but it's just too long with too much filler.

Harvest by Neil Young
Apr 23 2025
Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Apr 24 2025

Very generic 80s sort of new wave sound, and just nothing that made it stand out to me.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 30 2025

I feel like I can't give it less than 3 stars because there are some songs on here I like (or have liked in the past)... but some of this was pretty bad.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
May 04 2025

gave me a migraine

Green by R.E.M.
May 12 2025
Tom Tom Club by Tom Tom Club
May 15 2025

Between a 4-5 for me (would've been a 5 if the second half was just as fun as the first). Really really enjoyed it!

Elephant by The White Stripes
May 16 2025

I've always been a casual fan of the White Stripes but I think this was my first time listening to Elephant - it's been on repeat ever since, truly great album.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
May 20 2025

and every time you speak her name does she know how you told me you'd hold me until you die? 'til you die? but you're still alive!

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
May 21 2025
Let It Be by The Replacements
May 22 2025

I generally am a big fan of post-punk and punk music but I didn't really like this one. Please give me something by the Cure or the Clash next!!!!

May 23 2025

This was fine, but I don't really understand why it made the list? I have to say, I'd never listen to this one again...

Odessa by Bee Gees
May 29 2025

I found this to be unlistenable. Incredibly boring.

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Jun 02 2025

PJ Harvey is my absolute favourite artist, and this is in my opinion her best album. 5 stars is not enough!

The Bends by Radiohead
Jun 03 2025

This was one of my favourite albums as a teenager and it's still as good as the first time I heard it. I've always liked Radiohead, but I'm not as big a fan as a lot of people. In my opinion, this is the best Radiohead album. Truly excellent from start to finish.

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Jun 05 2025

Music has changed a lot since the 50s...

The Infotainment Scan by The Fall
Jun 08 2025

2 stars feels rough, but there's just much better post-punk albums out there. I'd likely never to listen to this again.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Jun 09 2025

Pretty garbage but this list has had worse. Some songs really sound like Blur.

Jun 12 2025

Way too long. If you're into electronic music then maybe this is something you need to listen to before you die, but the average person could definitely skip this one.

Different Class by Pulp
Jun 14 2025

Wow! I do not remember this album being so good! I've always been a slight fan of Pulp, and always in particular loved Jarvis Cocker's absurd and funny lyrics (kinda like Sparks or some of the Smiths music). More music should be funny.... In particular, the run from track 1 to 5 is just banger after banger. This sits between a high 4 or a low 5 for me.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 16 2025

I am not a Smashing Pumpkins lover or a hater. For the most part, I found the quality of the album to be really good but I'm sorry - nothing justifies that run time. It is nowhere near engaging enough to be the length of a movie. If you have more songs you want to put out, then make a deluxe like everyone else? Bullet With Butterfly Wings is crazy good though.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 22 2025
The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Jun 26 2025

"Pass the pub that wrecks your body And the church, all they want is your money The Queen is dead, boys And it's so lonely on a limb" Probably my favourite album when I was 17 and still one of my favourites today. 5+++++ "Send me the pillow.... the one that you dream on..."

21 by Adele
Jun 28 2025
The Slider by T. Rex
Jun 29 2025

Not terrible, but not for me

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jun 30 2025

I think I am not a fan of reggae, but I can appreciate that this is probably as good as reggae gets

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Jul 02 2025

This is my kind of thing! I think with more listens it could be a 5. Update: it’s a 5!

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Jul 03 2025

It's too long with some songs that feel like filler. Some songs are good though.

Leftism by Leftfield
Jul 06 2025

All these electronic albums from the 90s are so dated. More dated than anything else this list keeps churning out. Please stop.

Jul 07 2025

I listened to this in two parts as it is pretty long, but it is consistently good. I think the length and it being two separate albums doesn't work so well for streaming but I imagine this was cool as a CD.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Jul 09 2025

Maybe pretty good at the time (?) but I won't be revisiting this one

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jul 10 2025

Why is this one of the best selling albums of all time?

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Jul 11 2025

I liked it! High 3

The White Album by Beatles
Jul 19 2025

Siouxsie & the Banshees version of Dear Prudence is so good that the Beatles sounds like a cover. I feel like I'm saying this a lot on here, but this album is too long, and it's so clear which stuff is good and which stuff is filler. Overall though it's still good. I preferred Rubber Soul though.

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Jul 21 2025

I don't feel I know enough about World music to give this a rating

Heroes by David Bowie
Jul 23 2025
OK by Talvin Singh
Jul 31 2025
Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Aug 02 2025

Sounds like most other Radiohead stuff but more boring. I don't think this should be on the list.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 12 2025

Hey hey, my my is too good

The Doors by The Doors
Aug 15 2025

High 3, but not quite a 4

Synchronicity by The Police
Aug 18 2025

high 2 low 3, not completely garbage but still not great

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Aug 21 2025

Let me here you depoliticise my rhyme... (One of my favorites, obvious 5)

Aug 22 2025

This is not the most obviously bad album we have had on this list, but it's an album that I kept going "what?" to, and "that surely can't be the lyrics..." So yeah, easy 1. It felt like listening to the Wiggles at times, but with more adult themes I guess.

Debut by Björk
Aug 24 2025
Rio by Duran Duran
Aug 26 2025
The Coral by The Coral
Aug 27 2025

Pretty much total crap but at least it was short.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Aug 29 2025

Total snoozefest

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Aug 30 2025

I LOVE KATE BUSH & I LOVE THIS ALBUM!

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Aug 31 2025

Hilariously bad. It's an insult this is being classified as punk.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Sep 01 2025

So many great albums didn't make this list, and this is just so mediocre. Also the vocals are pretty annoying.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Sep 02 2025

I'm so sorry, Bruce!

Atomizer by Big Black
Sep 03 2025

I really enjoyed this! Made sense once I realised it was Steve Albini.... First song was trying a bit too hard to be edgy and wound up gross though... I still think it's a 5 star album though - the energy the whole way through is insane. Kerosene is just punk perfection.

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Sep 04 2025

Low 3, it was fine

Slayed? by Slade
Sep 05 2025

I kind of have an appreciation of what they were going for here (I think it's supposed to be fun and not taken very seriously (?)). I won't listen to it again though!

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Sep 06 2025

Joni Mitchell is one of my favourite artists but Court and Spark was not an album I would ever reach for - and I was wrong! Joni might just be the greatest songwriter of all time!

Guero by Beck
Sep 07 2025

bit boring, couldn't wait for it to end

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Sep 08 2025

This was a really interesting listen!

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Sep 10 2025

This was somehow worse than I was expecting. At the very least, it moved fast enough.

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Sep 11 2025

I went into this with an open mind but it was just kind of grating and yet somehow boring.

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Sep 12 2025

This is kind of a nothing album.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Sep 13 2025

The Twilight soundtrack really was good huh

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Sep 14 2025

Am I missing something here? This album seems to be really lauded and I didn't enjoy it at all.

1977 by Ash
Sep 15 2025

I vaguely recognised the song "Girl from Mars" from Gilmore Girls. I knew it was a Jess & Rory scene but I had the context wrong... apparently it's from the end of his first episode according to the interweb. I thought it was from a later episode in the scene where Jess is smoking at the petrol station (so dangerous!) Jess's first episode is a great episode of Gilmore Girls. I'd likely give it 5 stars. Time to review the album... this was fine to good. I could see why some people would really enjoy this. 3 stars feels apt.

Horses by Patti Smith
Sep 17 2025
Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Sep 18 2025

A lot of harsh reviews on this one! I can see why this deserves to be on the list considering some of the other stuff that is on here. Much rather listen to one Robbie album than the umpteenth Bob Dylan etc. Angels is a perfect pop song. Not relevant to the music but I also really like the album art!

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Sep 19 2025

What is there even to say about what might be my favourite album of all time? The songwriting on this album is phenomenal and somehow relatable in a way that I cannot believe it is over 50 years old. Joni sings and writes about womanhood in a way that is absolutely timeless. I made a list of my favourite lyrics on this album because I think they speak for themselves: All I Want: "I am on a lonely road and I am traveling Traveling, traveling, traveling Looking for something, what can it be? Oh, I hate you some, I hate you some, I love you some Oh, I love you when I forget about me" "Do you see, do you see, do you see how you hurt me, baby? So I hurt you too Then we both get so blue" My Old Man: "We don't need no piece of paper From the city hall Keeping us tied and true" "But when he's gone Me and them lonesome blues collide The bed's too big The frying pan's too wide" Little Green: "Child with a child pretending Weary of lies you are sending home So you sign all the papers in the family name You're sad and you're sorry but you're not ashamed Little green have a happy ending" California: "Sitting in a park in Paris, France Reading the news and it sure looks bad They won't give peace a chance That was just a dream some of us had" "Oh will you take me as I am Strung out on another man California I'm coming home" A Case of You: "Oh I am a lonely painter I live in a box of paints I'm frightened by the devil And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid I remember that time you told me you said "Love is touching souls" Surely you touched mine 'Cause part of you pours out of me In these lines from time to time" The Last Time I Saw Richard: "The last time I saw Richard was Detroit in '68 And he told me all romantics meet the same fate someday" ""Richard, you haven't really changed" I said It's just that now you're romanticizing some pain that's in your head" "Richard got married to a figure skater And he bought her a dishwasher and a coffee percolator"

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Sep 20 2025

Not as good as Elephant but a pretty solid debut. Had some good singles on it too!

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Sep 21 2025

Should not be on the list. Completely soulless. There are a few omissions from this list of albums that are actually quite defining in their own genres, and then you get something like this which just feels like a rip off of other music at the time.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Sep 22 2025

This was pretty good. A bit slow for my personal taste, but overall enjoyable.

Tapestry by Carole King
Sep 23 2025

Great album with some huge songs on it. & the Gilmore Girls theme tune!

No, no, no. There is absolutely no need for a live Bob Dylan album to be on this list. Not when there are already 6(!) other Bob Dylan albums on this list.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Sep 25 2025

Eh, 1.5 stars would probably be most apt

Arrival by ABBA
Sep 27 2025

There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando. Low 4.

B-52's by The B-52's
Sep 28 2025
Dummy by Portishead
Oct 01 2025
Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Oct 03 2025

Not as bad as some of the stuff on this list. A reluctant 3.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Oct 05 2025

I really like Paul Simon. Just beautiful song writing all around. Need me his jacket.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Oct 06 2025

Just stuck in the 80s

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Oct 07 2025

I feel unqualified to review jazz music because it kind of all sounds the same to me and I don't really like it...

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Oct 08 2025

Bad!

Live! by Fela Kuti
Oct 10 2025

Just not for me

Oct 11 2025

I really like this album! I see criticism of it being boring, but I don't agree. And I would usually agree that my biggest gripe in music is being boring. Love Radio Cure, Jesus etc., Heavy Metal Drummer

Oct 12 2025

I thought this was gonna be a hard listen given it's not something I'd ever put on - but this was not bad. Listened to the whole thing easily.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Oct 13 2025

I really don't want to hear Strange Cargo I or II either

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream
Oct 15 2025

Just worse Brian Jonestown Massacre, which I don't particularly like to begin with...

Oct 16 2025

How can you have this forgotten post-punk revival album on the list but zero Interpol? That's not even to say this was bad, but more so to ask who is choosing these albums? 2007 seems late for this sound so you can't even argue it was maybe one of the first to do it. Vocals were really annoying at times too.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Oct 18 2025

This is like the opposite of the White Album, where that was so long with some really good songs but a lot of filler, this is nice and quick but the songs are just OK. "And I love her" is a really cute song but "West Coast" is one of the most defining songs of the 2010s! Live, laugh, Lana.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Oct 19 2025

I feel like based on my taste in music I should like R.E.M. but I just don't really. Not sure what I am missing... This is one of the better R.E.M. records I have listened to though.

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Oct 20 2025

Quite liked this. Absolutely despised Mr. Spaceman though. I like the album art too.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Oct 21 2025

I've always found Surfer Rosa to be really but just not Doolittle...

Arise by Sepultura
Oct 22 2025

I kinda like metal

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Oct 24 2025

High 3 - liked this a lot more than I thought I would.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Oct 26 2025

So bad. Should have been 15 minutes shorter, at least. This might be the lowest 2 I ever give but it's not unlistenable like a 1

Imagine by John Lennon
Oct 27 2025

I liked a couple of the songs (Oh my love, and How?) but other than that the album is quite weak

xx by The xx
Oct 28 2025

Oh to be 15 again <3

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Nov 01 2025

Not even my favourite Smith's album but still a clear 5. RIP Andy Rourke - Barbarism Begins at Home is one of my favourite songs of all time, and it's because of the bass.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Nov 03 2025

Who? Just average, forgotten about 90s rock. Does not need to be on the list.

2112 by Rush
Nov 04 2025

Not feeling it

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Nov 05 2025

This was decent - Paul's not so bad.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Nov 07 2025

This was pretty good - a bit like Patsy Cline at times.

Revolver by Beatles
Nov 09 2025

Boo hoo whining about progressive taxation... I really liked "I'm Only Sleeping" which I think I hadn't heard before? Here, There and Everywhere is beautiful as always. Tomorrow Never Knows is one of the best closing songs of an album ever. And one of the Beatles best songs (might be the best song John Lennon ever wrote). I am struggling with whether I preferred this album to Rubber Soul and Abbey Road or not (these are my tops of the albums we've had so far - sorry to With The Beatles, A Hard Day's Night and the White Album). I think the truth is that they are all high 4 star albums for me - I liked them all!

Damaged by Black Flag
Nov 10 2025

Nothing goes harder than good punk music.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Nov 11 2025
En-Tact by The Shamen
Nov 12 2025

Beyond shite

Abbey Road by Beatles
Nov 15 2025

Something, here comes the sun, octopus’ garden all 5/5 songs. Poor George sitting on some of the best tracks from All Things Must Pass and having to record Maxwells Silver Hammer… I’d be pissed too!

Soul Mining by The The
Nov 16 2025

Sad excuse for post punk

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 17 2025

Poor Amy… I think about her all the time.

Chris by Christine and the Queens
Nov 19 2025

A strange addition to the list - I can think of way better (and more important / impactful) albums from the late 2010s that should be on this list. I've not listened to a lot of Christine and the Queens but this is pretty much what I expected based on the limited knowledge I did have. Not bad but just kind of boring. This isn't objectively bad like some of the stuff on this list, but I also will not put it on again on my own volition. A very high two - I just can't bring myself to give it a three.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Nov 20 2025

Funky!

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Nov 21 2025

I really enjoyed this! I'm a sucker for singer-songwriter music (although it has to be good)...

Van Halen by Van Halen
Nov 22 2025

Why are the ratings on this so high? Tells you a lot about the kind of person who signs up to this website... This went nice and quick. Probably as good as Van Halen get's but they just aren't a very good band - sorry. The barbershop part was laugh out loud funny.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Nov 24 2025

I like folk music so this was a better listen for me that some of the other albums on this list. That said, something about this doesn't quite resonate with me the same way others in this genre do.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Nov 25 2025

Not bad! but not really my genre of choice. I really like the guitars etc but not a huge fan of the vocals.

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Nov 27 2025

I honestly thought it was going to be more bongo centred but relieved that it wasn’t. Fine music in the background whilst cooking but I’d hate to have listened with my headphones on.

Marquee Moon by Television
Dec 01 2025

Fantastic album. Clearly inspirational to so many who came after (see Julian Casablancas' whole schtick). I am always amazed by how modern this sounds, and how clean everything is. Marquee Moon (the song) is amazing!!!

Tommy by The Who
Dec 02 2025

Not a fan of concept albums. Yet to hear one I liked. Way, way, way too long. It's a 1 because I didn't finish it and I am not gonna put it on again.

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Dec 04 2025

Yeah you don't have to hear this before you die.

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Dec 05 2025

Yup this makes sense but zero Donna Summer. Checks out.

Play by Moby
Dec 06 2025

Over an hour of this shite? No way.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Dec 07 2025

I can appreciate that this is probably as good as Michael Jackson gets, but it's just not for me.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Dec 10 2025

Just fine

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Dec 13 2025

This is one of absolute favourite albums of all time, and it for sure deserves it's spot on this list. It's damn perfect. I am a bit jealous if you're on here and get to listen to this for the first time! It's lightning in a bottle and has aged super well. It's a shame they didn't follow it up with much else, but one incredible album is better than 7 mediocre ones. I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs the Drum, Made of Stone, I Am the Resurrection.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Dec 14 2025

Never heard of them before. Thought this was gonna be bad but it was pleasantly alright.

25 by Adele
Dec 16 2025

The bottom line is that this album is just not as good as 21. If you want to listen to an Adele album, 21 is the one you should listen to, unless you are a major fan I guess. When We Were Young is kinda an all timer though.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Dec 17 2025

Alright - maybe a bit 80s pop for my taste, but I don't mind new wave music so preferred when she leaned into that a bit more. Something about When You Were Mine reminded me of Kate Bush. This is a high 3 for me. Time After Time is a great song.

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Dec 18 2025

Surprisingly modern sounding for 1983 - you can definitely hear the influence this had on late 80s, 90s alternative rock. Low 4. Good Feeling is such a beautiful song. Easily the best song on the album.

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Dec 19 2025

You're kidding yourself if you think this is worth listening to.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Dec 20 2025

Why on earth did they not include Paint it Black on this album in the UK? What a huge mistake. Without Paint it Black it's a 2, with Paint it Black it is a 3.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Dec 22 2025

Wow this album is much better than I remember it being! This is really IMO the only Sufjan Stevens album you'd ever need to listen to, it's exactly his thing done perfectly (albeit a bit too long).

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Dec 23 2025

This list has made me realise I can't stand jazz music. Maybe I am too stupid and my attention span is too bad (IDK) but jazz makes me want to rip my skin off - it's so boring! Regardless, this is better than the albums I have given 1 star too.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Dec 24 2025

Something about Sleater-Kinney is just a little off for me, and I'm not too sure why - perhaps they are just not as compelling in my opinion as Kathleen Hanna or PJ Harvey? It almost feels a little bit sanitised, a little bit Alanis Morrisette (and that's not a dig, I gave Jaggered Little Pill a 4). That is to compare Sleater-Kinney to some of my favourite music though, so I am more saying I don't know why I just like this album, instead of LOVE it. It's an easy 4 and well deserving of being on this list. Pussy Whipped by Bikini Kill is sadly missing from the list though.

Dec 25 2025

Laughably bad. Blur's Parklife but rap and shite. Why on earth is this on the list? Really makes you question the guy picking these albums.

Dec 26 2025

I am so behind on the list.... today is the 7th April. I think actually though enough time has passed since last Christmas for this not to be that hard of a listen.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie

Kind of interesting that this kinda a nothing album for David Bowie, but "Aladdin Sane" the character is so famous / iconic. This album is fine, but nothing special to it in my opinion. Low 3.

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Dec 28 2025

This was so boring. I am giving it 1 star because you absolutely do not need to hear this before you die, and this list has plenty of BETTER indie rock albums, so we don't need the average ones. Given there are some big omissions on this list, this is unnecessary.

Phrenology by The Roots
Dec 29 2025

Alright but too long!

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Dec 30 2025

This came up in my history list and I misread the title, and thought "Oh cool - The Butthole Surfers!" then saw Jimi Hendrix and was confused for a second... only in that moment did I realise that Electric Larryland is a joke.

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Dec 31 2025

Bit boring, too long, but the good moments are good. Low 3.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jan 01 2026

I like Neil Young, but if I wanted to listen to him I'd just put Harvest on. I'm not a huge huge fan (yet...)

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Jan 02 2026

I do acknowledge this was early for punk, but on 2026 ears it just sounds glam rocky to me. Not my kind of punk music that's for sure. High 2 but definitely not a 3.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jan 03 2026

Oh Amy, how I love you. The last four songs drag a little, but the album is undoubtedly a 5. Amy was one of a kind, and a great songwriter.

Faust IV by Faust
Jan 04 2026

Music should be enjoyable.

Berlin by Lou Reed
Jan 05 2026

I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this!

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Jan 06 2026

I've always found Depeche Mode to be just OK, even though I like a few of their contemporaries. I think I prefer my New Wave to be more punk / post punk influenced.

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Jan 09 2026

Couldn't bring myself to finish this, and I tried thrice.

Diamond Life by Sade
Jan 10 2026

I just could not finish this - so boring and dated.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Jan 11 2026

Shouldn't be on the list. Like yeah if you were 26 y/o man in London in 1996 then yeah you probably should listen to this before you die, but that time is over old man.

Pump by Aerosmith
Jan 12 2026

Haha this sucked. I don't even hate Aerosmith, but they are a bit of a joke. Like they shouldn't be on this list once, let alone 3 times.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Jan 13 2026

Aww she was really talented <3 I usually hate jazz, and hate live albums but this was oddly comforting.

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 14 2026

So sorry you went through that Nick :( Subject matter aside, I feel I have to review this from the perspective of whether I enjoyed listening to it, and I just didn't. It was so boring, and so not for me.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Jan 16 2026

There are 3 (three!) Dexys Midnight Runners album on this list. 3 (three!) albums for the band that might be THE one-hit-wonder band. Get off it.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Jan 17 2026

I can't deny the hits. The non-hits are pretty average though.

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Jan 18 2026

I liked it! A bit too honky tonk at times (Tennessee did my head in a bit), but overall good - I'd listen again.

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Jan 19 2026

Mark Knopfler wrote Private Dancer? Talented guy

Low by David Bowie
Apr 11 2026

This album starts off so strong but I don’t love all the ambient songs. Still one of Bowie’s better albums. I adore Sound and Vision.
