First 6 tracks may as well be the same dull, uninteresting song, seemingly lacking most semblance of melody or musical direction. “Brave for You,” “On Hold,” and “I Dare You” are the only songs I’d want to hear again. “Test Me” acts profound but is realistically 1 minute of an actual song and 3 minutes of nothingness.
Elton John for the working man. Fun album start to finish. Nothing life changing but understandable why people like it. “Jungleland” is a standout track despite ripping of “Tiny Dancer”
“Mannish Boy” is the source of cliché blues music and it is great
Instrumentals are decent. I can’t for the life of me understand what this guy is saying. If you’re gonna make angry music, you should probably let everyone know what you’re angry about.
I can appreciate what they’re trying to do with the rock opera but it just falls flat. Obnoxious production techniques throughout. (Why does it so often have parts panned over completely into one channel?) Once you get past the production, you’re left with a band that sounds like The Beatles bought off of Temu.

Very accurate album title
None of the songs here are bad, per se, but other than the title track and “Everybody Loves Me, Baby” the songs all sound very similar. Nothing to dislike here but when 2/3s of your album all sounds alike and unexciting, it makes for a very boring listening experience.
Hints of some truly great pop music but never becomes fully realized. None of the songs on this album are in at least the first 15 songs that you think of when listing off great ABBA songs.
This is just too damn long. I can’t in good conscience give this a 1 because all the songs are good. Fitzgerald is likely a top 5 greatest singer of the 20th century. Nelson Riddle’s arrangements are excellent. But when you have them for over 3 continuous hours it just becomes a slog.
Outside of “Song 2” this album is mostly just a big nothingburger.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully appreciate Indian classical music. I don’t dislike this. I can appreciate music of different cultures but I don’t think I will ever be able to differentiate one piece from another

The whole point of this album seems to be that this band is from the south and likes other bands from the south and, sometimes, bands from places other than the south. Instead of referencing all this undeniably great music, they should’ve focused on writing great music of their own.
This is about half of Elton John’s greatest hits. Absolutely awesome!
Opening track is good but it feels like they ran out of ideas at the start of track 2. If you want to do a full instrumental album like this, you either need to get awesome and show off, go all in on being weird, or go full ambient Brian Eno. This album does none of those and then sits in a mopey depression. I get the impression that they made the last 25 minutes or so of the album because they were obligated by a record label to get over the 45 minute mark.
My favorite part was when it was over so I could go listen to Slipknot, or Prince, or literally anything else. This is awful
